None of the Castlevania games on the NES were any good. Way too hard. I much prefer the fourth one. Strong disagree. I didn’t own 1 or 3, but I played the hell out of both and still remember them well. I actually owned 4, and remember almost nothing about it other than it had better graphics. The gameplay was bland and the bosses were too easy to be memorable. Fair enough. I got knocked back enough times in all three of them that I decided to do the same to the cartridge in my Nintendo. The NES is weird with me. I can beat Fester's Quest without taking much damage in one life, but can't play Castlevania for crap. BTW, there is no excuse for Castlevania 2 (or any game, really) for being that cryptic. Yes that means you, PC games where you had to do shit that no one in their right mind would do to progress further.

I assumed they didn't license Enter Sandman because 1)it would have been expensive as hell, and 2)they knew they weren't doing much of anything with ECW pretty early on. They cleared it for ECW One Night Stand 2005.

Gorilla Monsoon: We've come to the main event of WWF Karnage 69, Brain. The whole world has been waiting for this match tonight and I for one can't wait for it to begin. They're literally hanging from the rafters tonight. Bobby Heenan: They're hanging there because those teenagers went skinny dipping in the lake near the arena and Freddy hung them there. Monsoon: WILL YOU STOP!?! Hogan's got his hands full tonight. What would you do if you were Freddy? Heenan: Freddy can only attack people in their dreams, right? Monsoon: Yeah. Heenan: Then it's simple. He needs to put on one of Hulk Hogan's movies and the Hulkster will be asleep in no time. Hey Freddy, if you're watching, may I suggest Thunder In Paradise? Monsoon: NO, YOU MAY NOT, BRAIN! Enough of this. Let's go back to ringside!

Manny Fernandez is essentially an infamous bullshit artist who constantly makes shit up, and stolen valor is when someone presents themselves as having a military history (especially seeing combat) that did not happen. Sergeant Slaughter is sort of a grey area in that respect, with him not being a serviceman, but I am unclear on if Robert Remus has attempted to present himself as a veteran, or if it has always been the character of Sgt. Slaughter and the character alone where there's the fictitious military career. Didn't he also say that he played for the Miami Dolphins, but it turned out to be another guy with the same name?

Jesse's Axl Rose comments from Wrestlemania VI. I think he said Robert Goulet reminded him of Axl. They are two total opposites. Plus Gorilla had no idea who Axl was. And it seemed to make Gorilla look foolish he didn't know so he tried very badly to pretend he did. There was only like a 10-12 age year difference between the two but it felt like 20-30 years. Coliseum cut out most of what Jesse said (because they cut out Goulet) so it seemed even more awkward on the VHS. I liked Jesse and Gorilla better but if there was a pop culture reference, Gorilla did better with Bobby. I'm pretty sure Jesse just said that to mess with Gorilla and either Gorilla didn't or likely being a Frank Sinatra kind of guy and not being into modern Rock, Gorilla probably refused to acknowledge Axl. Granted Gorilla had his fair share of irrational comments. I remember watching an Owen Hart match where he talks about extraneous circumstances that allowed Owen to win. Ted DiBiase on commentary likely actually puzzled asks him, "Like what?" and Gorilla just goes, "You know what I mean". Gorilla likely forgot Owen won clean and realized it during the match. As a broadcaster myself, I can tell you sometimes you say something that makes sense in your head but to no one else. I love Gorilla, but he seemed so lost a lot of the times that he did commentary.

'The Million Dollar Man' Ted Dibiase. Next up is either Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan, The Ultimate Warrior, 'Macho Man' Randy Savage, Jake Roberts or 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin. I could also throw in Hogan and Andre, too.
Outside of WWWF/WWF/WWE history, it's Gorgeous George and its not even close. He was the blueprint of every smarmy heel in the business since he left.

Perhaps a controversial one Jefferson was a much better neighbour than Steve on Married With Children. Not controversial at all. Steve completely changed the series from a family driven dramady, into a slapstick sci-fi comedic farce. Steve completely overtook the show.

Why do directors put up with actors refusing to get into character? I mean, if I was a director and the guy I heard to be Lex Luther was refusing to go bald, I'd tell him to sling his hook and give the multi-million dollar paycheck to someone else. There's always another talented and popular actor out there. I think back then, some actors were more important than the movie. If a star was on the poster, that could sell more tickets than any plot or special effect. Now, not so much.

It has to be 3. The spectacle and legend behind Wrestlemania 3 was able to carry WWF through some of those later WrestleManias that were rough to watch. No matter how bad the quality, they could always put that up on a highlight reel to sell the next WrestleMania. Absolutely. As much as I like it, Wrestlemania 4 was, by most accounts.. shit. Then there is 7, 9, 11, 12 (to an extent), and 13 that are all kinda meh. None of those lived up to 3, or even 6. However, yeah I think 3 had such weight to it that it could still help sell the idea that the next Wrestlemania was going to be huge. To be fair to the WWF...they treated Saturday Night's Main Event more like WrestleMania than WrestleMania itself.

iirc Vader's assets are in War Zone's create a character but he isn't on the roster proper. To be fair to me, I had no intention of ever creating a wrestler to look like him, so it's no big deal.

Speaking of this whole thing and 2K24 a really loud subsection of this game's discourse is people refusing to shut the f*** up about Brock only being in Showcase. Like, his moves are in, his entrance is in, if you really want to play as the creep that badly just download one. For further reading, see "Vader, WWF War Zone."
