Wasn't he retired by then? I think he also had an insurance policy that prevented him from wrestling regardless?

Ok WWE films produce movies so bad that the majority of them land in the straight to DVD section. Why would Bradley Cooper, a real movie star, want to associate himself with such shitty product? If that movie even gets made it would present Vince as the hero in such a ridiculous and bias way that it would make United Passions blush. Tri-Star Pictures ain't exactly associated with the best of Sony's movies, either.
I agree with you. There is no way that this thing is gonna be even remotely accurate. A made-for-TV Lifetime movie would be more accurate.

So, serious question. Tony Romo: one of the best players-turned-announcer ever? He's been an absolute joy to listen to. Pat Summerall was better, in my opinion.

I joined to belong to my favorite faction, but was disappointed when I didn't get any green glowsticks or be able to tell people to 'suck it!'

I didn't. It's like that episode off Seinfeld where Kramer gets rushed into that board meeting. I was at a live event, went for popcorn, and next thing I knew I was tagging against Sting and Luger. I would buy the Network for life if you ever became a booker for WWE.

WCW collapsing. yes for several years before the end it was already shit, but the end of WCW still represented one of the biggest ever blows for wrestling IMO. Mine was when ECW closed down. I was getting into the TNN show until they suddenly closed. I somehow thought WWF Sunday Night Heat was gonna turn into ECW One Night Stand 2005 back in 2001.

...they were scheduled to do a Rock vs Austin DVD set but when the Bret/Hbk one sold so poorly they scrapped the Rock/Austin one. What did they expect? They should have started off with Austin/Rock or Hogan/Macho Man (yes, I know both were on the outs with the company at the time) instead of those two. Besides, everyone was tired of the Montreal Screwjob at that point.

Netflix and Hulu ain't gonna want to be associated with 'rasslin', so that ain't happening (yes, I know they had documentaries about wrestling and WWE DVDs. It ain't the same as them putting out full PPVs of events).
Movie rights are a complicated issue. I don't believe that WWE can just put the movie on it's network and that's it. I could be wrong, though. EXACTLY.
If WWE live programming was moved to the Professional Bull Riders streaming service, would you all stay and be fans of PBR? I doubt it.
Unless those bull riders gained main stream popularity. Maybe a former bull rider becomes one of the biggest stars in Hollywood and goes back as a special guest for BullRiderMania 30. Then maybe people would tune in out of curiosity. Maybe one of the current bull riders gets decent sized roles in relatively big movies? Maybe the bull riding federation makes their own movies that some of the bull riders are in. Then it's possible that I'd give bull riding a shot, just to see where some of these guys are coming from. You might give it a shot, but more than likely, you aren't staying around for the bull riding PPVs or events in your town.

Why not just get Netflix? Many people can't afford both...so instead of paying ~$10 for each, they'd pay ~$13 and have the network as well as whatever movies/shows they're able to get the rights to. 2 services for the price of 1.5 Netflix and Hulu ain't gonna want to be associated with 'rasslin', so that ain't happening (yes, I know they had documentaries about wrestling and WWE DVDs. It ain't the same as them putting out full PPVs of events).
First of all, WWEN should not ever think of Netflix and Hulu as competitors. We've seen Vince get out of his niche wrestling promotion and it gets pretty ugly. Stay in your lane. Trying to compete with the big dogs in that space would be a MASSIVE undertaking (no puns, ya weirdos!) It would take boatloads of money and take focus away from their product, which is already suffering. Now, if you wanted to gain the rights to say Beyond The Mat and No Holds Barred and other wrestling-relevant stuff at a somewhat reasonable price, then yeah. They are so hard up for actual programming as they keep cancelling their own shows, which probably needs to be a bigger list to begin with, not smaller. It's so weird to look back at what they expected the Network to be; an actual premium channel with tons of original content. And what the Network actually is; essentially a streaming service for the archive and very, very little else. Movie rights are a complicated issue. I don't believe that WWE can just put the movie on it's network and that's it. I could be wrong, though. Wouldn't the main (and arguably only) appeal to older wrestling fans be the wrestling era they watched, which has already been up on the Network for some time? Absolutely. A lot of people(myself included) primarily have the Network for the older stuff. My point is that putting non-wrestling stuff on it isn't going to make people into wrestling fans. Even if your favorite tv show became exclusive to WWE Network, you would probably just wait for the DVD. If you aren't a wrestling fan you don't want WWE Network. And if you think wrestling is stupid, having a bunch of it available on demand isn't going to change your mind. If someone is curious about checking out wrestling for the first time, they will watch it on tv, not get a subscription to a service for it. And people don't want to watch it on tv for the most part. I'm not trying to attack the op, it's just a really pointless idea in my opinion. It would be like putting non MMA on UFC Fight Pass or putting non wrestling on NJPWWorld. Likewise, I wouldn't give a shit about sports being on Netflix. Having different services that focus on different things is good. EXACTLY.
If WWE live programming was moved to the Professional Bull Riders streaming service, would you all stay and be fans of PBR? I doubt it.

Yeah pretty much, Russo is doing it for attention like literally EVERYTHING he does. Cornette is all bluster... the most violent I've ever heard him get is when he slapped Santino. Also I only listen to clips of Cornette's podcast for the same reason. If anything doesn't fall into his small niche of what wrestling should be it's terrible and the people responsible should be blackballed. I do like listening to some of his old wrestling stories though. I don't remember the full story, but there was a promoter he freely admitted to attempting to run down with his car for trying to f*** him over repeatedly, given he had already been tried for it. It was during SMW, I don't really remember the specifics much. So yeah, odds are, Cornette isn't going to do anything, but I do think having a wife who can talk some sense into him is part of it. He's certainly got the anger problem. Terry Landel.
