The strange thing is that all three were once in the WWF, but not here. Gorilla (called by his real name) was with the WWF, but Heenan was with WCW and Mooney was gone from wrestling.

Well, my team blew it. I can't be surprised when they barely eat the Browns. I can sense a coaching change coming in Tennessee.

If you exclude the WWE, Vince is one of the worst businessmen of all time. Quite literally all of his non WWE business ventures have been a disaster. I was just thinking about that. And I've come up with a theory. You know we all talk about how Vince seems to be ashamed of being a "rasslin'" promoter, it's even been brought up earlier in the thread. Yet, every time he tries a new venture, he immediately resorts to running it like a wrestling promotion. I mean, who besides Vince has ever thought, "Well, this bodybuilding competition is alright, but do you know what would really make this awesome? Storylines!" So, Vince gets caught in this vicious cycle where he wants to make his wrestling promotion as un-wrestling-like as possible, while turning everything else into wrestling. And it all suffers in the long run. He should have started his own soap opera. Or at least his own sitcom.

Austin called all his matches in ring. Page probably wouldn't have been up to his higher standard in that situation. Not knocking him for drafting out his matches at all, but there's no way he was going to walk in and give the more experienced, more over guys, instructions, so his matches were never going to reach the standard people might have expected. It's possible that they could have had someone work with him, to get him up on the WWE style. Taker was pissed but why not pull DDP aside and explain to him, that wasn't how it worked here? That's not what they do in WWE. If they are mad at you, they do some pitiful crap like take a dump in your bags or put you in a stupid program or other such garbage.

Can you imagine Val Venis being managed by Joel Gertner? The FCC couldn't think of a fine big enough for those two! HA!

I have been watching Legends of Wrestling over again. Hearing road stories and the perspective of those from the territory days makes this my favorite show on the Network. You've got all these legends under contract and it has to be relatively inexpensive to produce. It could be produced on the road in a TV studio or even a hotel meeting room. I think it would be a shame to miss the opportunity to get some great oral history recorded and on the network for future generations to enjoy and understand how things were in the business. I think analysis of today's product by the legends is vital to helping talent grow and creates additional interest in the product. I'm sure some will say this this is a niche interest and it probably is. But if Vince is truly interested in preserving the history of the business, and he's truly the curator of Wrestling's history, then more Legends of Wrestling serves that interest.
You talking about the same Vince that I am here?

They could do a multi-part, multi-format series on the history of wrestling from Gorgeous George to the present. With the right panel (Ross would be a must) or just even an extended documentary, it would be a great way to re-educate the fan base and add classic programming to the network. yeah but it would be so WWE biased and revisionist I stopped watching their documentaries for the exact same reason. Those mid-00 DVDs are hard to watch.

To get to the original posters point:
I, too, am not offended by the promo, but am concerned that he didn't express remorse over using it recently. Do you guys have a problem with AJ Styles using it in his promos? Has he apologized for using that word? Will you still support him if he hasn't?
When it comes to political correctness, I think that it's fine just as long as people don't go overboard with it and abuse its power.

I am not entirely sure how much of it was him, and how much of it was DiDi half-understanding some of the advice and not implementing it well. If I remember the show correctly, at the end of the episode, he said that he was gonna write his next books on methods that actually work on babies and not use guesswork or whatever.
Technically, he was a fraud and the creators gave him is name for a reason (it's true. Look it up).

It depends on how much wrestling you like. It's a great deal, but it got old after a few months. I tried it after I got a gift card from someone and it was good, but I chose not to renew because I had saw all of the matches that I wanted. Most of them don't really have that much replay value anymore. Well, at least to me they don't. You may be different.

I always thought Disney animation made honey look way more delicious than it actually is. I agree. I think honey is too bland. I prefer syrup on my biscuits.

Television. Wish we had gone straight to computers/internet somehow. In a similar vein, the Hayes Code and the FCC's rules about TV and radio content.

Why would New Japan say no? I can understand them not selling it outright but maybe licensing it to WWE could have worked. The WWE probably low-balled them a number.

I don't know if it was already said, but in a British Bulldogs promo from one of the SNME, Mean Gene mentions that they are part of the ME Generation. I found that intriguing.
