They could do it in a way that would make him look good.
I mean, his last mask was basically Warriors facepaint made into a mask.
I think red and black paint that looked like something you would see in a Mad Max type movie would work. Really though, I think Kane should just retire. Hes been boring for years.

Vinces theme since it was originally the 99 Rumble theme.

I always feel like wrestling fans have a short memory. To me, the Kurt Angle matches were Shawn's best. His Jericho XIX match and Angle WM 21 match are my two favorite comeback era HBK matches. Anyway, this was as good of a match as you could have expected. There was no way to top the first one, so they went a different route with it which is nice to see.

From TNA's site, not the best picture to put on there IMO That is a beer gut. You cant see it when Hall is sucking it in, that picture is just taken at an inopportune moment. About the only way Hall could get rid of that is to stop drinking beer, and we all know that isn't gonna happen. He looked in surprisingly good shape though.

I actually prefer TNAs "too much" approach. I am not going to like every single thing on a wrestling show. I am not supposed to, actually. Wrestling is supposed to be a circus, something for everyone. At least with TNA I get that feeling.
With WWE I just get the same old shit. Its never bad, never good, always bland. TNA at its worst still manages to entertain me most of the time.
Back in the day I preferred ECW to WCW and WWF [though I liked all three, unlike WWE now]. I did not care that ECW wasn't beating them in the ratings or anything. It was the most entertaining out of the three to me, and had the best wrestling for the most part. TNA is like that to me now.
So WWE fans and casuals can keep making fun of it if they want because "that guy couldn't cut it in WWE" or "that set looks cheap and they are in a tiny arena! LOL." Honestly, if you are basing your opinions on things like that, good riddance. I only notice the set if someones jumping off of it and at least TNAs tiny crowd pops for more than three guys and has enthusiasm for what they are watching.

Matt Hardy still appears on TV practically every week, sometimes wins, gets promo time and actual angles and the occasional PPV match, and has t-shirts and other merchandise marketed around him, all in spite of the fact that he's pudgy, balding, and has horrible fashion sense. Matt Hardy has nothing going for him other than that he is over. If anything, Matt is proof positive of how far you can go by being over even while lacking everything else that WWE expects of their talent. I am not a Matt Hardy fan, but saying a wrestler has nothing going for him besides being over is like saying a businessman has nothing going for him besides his bank account. In short, it really makes no sense.

Cena must have been in the bobcat suit. Explains why he only sold the SCM for a few seconds.

Who really thinks that moving out of Orlando and shooting in real arenas is going to suddenly spike TNAs ratings, or ever have any effect on them at all?
What should TNA spend money on? A flashy set to compete with WWE razzle dazzle, or perhaps advertising to garner ratings and a fanbase whose money will provide them a flashy set later?

Let me preface this by saying that Shannon Moore has never really set my world on fire, but I don't get all the hate either. I guess it's because he is Jeff Hardy's Ed Leslie to the IWC.
I always found him a capable performer. I don't want him to become the John Cena of the X-Division or anything, but he can put on a good match and get over when he is offered a chance to.

Yeah, they didn't make HHH use Flair's catchphrases and wear a robe though. He used Flair's catchphrases sometimes. I did notice the robe, but it was when he was coming out with Flair in one at the same time, so I thought it was kinda cool. Besides, HHH wore a Flair ripoff robe before he was ever managed by him in WCW AND WWF. But yeah...my point is that Flair being A.J.'s manager can only be a good thing. A.J. using his promo style and gimmick isn't a completely terrible thing either. I mean, Flair himself got to where he is today by taking someone else's gimmick. From what I have seen, A.J. seems more comfortable on the mic than ever before, and as always he is one of the best in the ring. I like this version of A.J. better than the "plucky X-Division veteran" of 05-06 or "dorky heel." Maybe I am just catching the good episodes, though?

I think Styles is great in his role now. I hear all this "mini-Flair" talk as if having Ric Flair as your manager is a bad thing. When Flair was HHH's manager, suddenly HHH was wearing suits, cutting Flair-like promos, etc. Nobody said "HHH is now a mini-Flair."
Well, some people did, but it certainly wasn't popular opinion even though the concept was the same exact thing.

My fave ever was probably one RAW in 05 when Christian challenged the relatively new WHC Batista on RAW. This was during the time Christian was still a heel but getting big reactions, and of course Batista was coming off his huge Mania win and the biggest face in the company ATM. Christian got huge reactions from the UK crowd, while Batista got mostly boos. Christian even had HHH and Flair in his corner distracting and cheating for him, the two most hated heels on RAW at the time. He still got massive cheers anytime he got offense in or got an advantage. I recall a lot of people on here at the time trying to explain it by RAW being in the UK, Bizarro Land, etc. That did not explain why Christian was still being cheered in the U.S. and Canada as well, but people will cling to anything in attempts to prove their arguments and opinions right sometimes, especially wrestling fans. This was also the same year people said Cena was getting booed during his feud with Kurt Angle because he wasn't playing a good heel...even though Kurt never had problems getting heel heat before or since. I was about to mention that Kurt Angle John Cena feud. This first blood match was at the absolute height of Cena hate in fact I think rather than the crowd loving Angle it is the fact that they hated Cena so much they were willing anybody on to beat him. This was a period of time where a heel Shelton Benjamin who had been a jobber for months got huge face heat during a match with Cena, while Cena got booed. I mean, think of that. It would be like Chavo Guerrero going up against Undertaker this Friday, outpopping him during the match and Taker being booed when he goes for the Tombstone. Yet WWE kept pushing Cena. I bet even if Rob Conway fought Cena during this time he would have got face heat.

I was always a fan of The Rock. He was the guy that regardless of being heel or face I always backed so of course seeing as though Triple H was his main rival I never liked Triple H. The thing I don't get though is that it seems as though in 1998 and 1999 a lod of people wanted Triple H to get the title. Yet from winning the title the day after Summerslam 1999 right up until he crashed the Stephanie Test wedding he was really struggling to get heat or be taken as a serious main eventer. Where did all the fans who wanted him on top go when he finally made it ? Back then HHH was a smark darling. A lot of net fans wanted him to win the title, seeing him as the next Harley Race or Ric Flair or whatever. Its easy to see why, since he was an incredible wrestler at the time. The fans didn't buy HHH for a grip. In many ways, he got the Sheamus push out of nowhere and started going over guys who had been around for awhile and were much more popular like Rock and Foley.

If WWE was really interested in making this a money feud, they have the announcers talk Christian up during MITB, mentioning his past with Edge, how Edge won MITB to cash it in and get his first title, etc.
Christian wins. Edge wins. During Edges celebration, have Christian come out and it looks like he is about to cash in, Edge looks distressed, maybe Jericho is still there and grinning in hopes Christian is about to kill Edges reign before it really starts.
E and C stare each other down and stuff, Christian looks intense and holding the case, then instead of cashing in he raises Edges hand and they celebrate in similar fashion to Benoit and Eddie at XX. Jericho looks frustrated, shocked, angry, etc. Show closes with this or not, it doesn't really matter.
From there, they can have a three way feud with Christian still face but seeming tweenerish, while Jericho and Edge both use their pasts with him to try and sway his allegiances into their court. They could roll with that until MITB or Summerslam if they wanted. To me, this would all make for a very interesting, personal story and it wouldn't have to be extremely over the top ala Jeff vs. Matt to be effective. It would also be a good way to use MITB in a more fresh context.
Either way, I would like Christian to pull an RVD and finally announce when he will cash it in, instead of doing it out of nowhere. That shtick is beyond stale at this point.

Edge needs to win or it kills his momentum. Cena doesn't need to win because he's not rolling off on anything. If they need the face rub to close the show, make Edge vs. Jericho the headline at Mania. Or better yet, let Batista win to close Mania. Eh, that is like saying Orton needs to win at Mania 25 to keep his momentum. He didn't. He just needed to look good against HHH instead of being largely squashed. Edge losing wouldn't kill his momentum. Cena wasted his Rumble victory by going for the title at No Way Out and failing to capture the title, then going on to challenge for it at WM and failing to win it there. Did that kill his momentum? No, because while he didn't win, he looked good in losing. As long as Jericho wins in a sneaky fashion Edge looks fine, and we all know if Jericho wins it wont be clean.

I could see Jericho winning. Batista vs. Cena, MOTY Take 2, and of course the afterbirth of Montreal are getting the lions share of the focus. In the grand scheme of things, this match doesn't mean very much. Especially when you consider its probably the first match in a series of them between these two.
With that said, it wouldn't shock me if Jericho pulls this one out. People make it out as if he has zero chance of winning. If WWE is planning on ending the feud completely at Mania, sure. They rarely do that though, and I could easily see Chris retaining if they want to extend the feud.

Being over is a product of a lot of things, though. There has to be something in what the individual does that makes fans react, but what can kill being over often has nothing to do with the individual. You used Batista as an example, so try this on for size. Have him do what he does, same mannerisms, same look, same moves. However, have him jerking the curtain (no support from creative) and have the announcers ignore him while he's out there. He won't be over anymore, because the casual fans will consider him not worth their time. Lots of guys got over in the old WCW, did well for themselves and always got reactions. However, when they showed up in Vince's world, they get the "you're a nobody" treatment from creative and the announce team, which resulted in the fans not caring about them. Being over may be vital, but if the company doesn't put effort into the individual, then they will never last. Translation, if Vince (the ultimate shot caller) doesn't want you to be over, if he says "you're just a midcarder", then that's how you will be presented, and eventually, that's how you will be perceived. Plenty of guys over the past ten years have been hugely over with the crowd but not benefitted much from that. Overness is very important, but WWE tends to overlook or even depush people who are over if WWE officials dont see any long term worth in them. I agree that overness is the most important thing...yet WWE doesn't value that over all things. Look at all the people they push for months with no crowd reaction, until they finally give up.
