Is it really fair that the Game of the Year for Wii has barely even been out for a month? yeah.

And I don't get the reselling criticism. since when, if ever, could you re-sell a pc game that has to verify a CD key? once the key is used, isn't it basically tied to that computer/ISP? Nah, for the most part, you can use the same CD key on multiple computers for multiple installs without a problem. The only time I think there might be a problem is under this example: You buy a game that has multiplayer, install it, sell it to someone else, and leave the install on your computer. That might create problems if the new owner tries to install it and play online (same CD key on two PCs at same time could throw up a red flag). But other than that, and perhaps some DRM-related instances that I'm not aware of, there isn't a problem with reselling PC games. BTW, I spent about an hour and a half on Torchlight, and it's extremely addictive. I wasn't even making progress in the story. Just going through the first dungeon, level by level, killing creatures and picking up loot. It's so simple, yet I found myself unable to stop. yeah, but knowing how DRM is with PC games now, and knowing that one time I bought a game where someone ripped the box open and wrote down the cd key leaving me unable to install said game on my computer, I doubt the PC resell market was all that big. It just is weird to me why some pc gamers are unwilling to go over to companies like D2D or Steam for pc games. I mean hell, D2D is the only place you can get gridrunner evolution! www.giantbomb.com/quick-look-gridrunner-revolution/17-1488/look at how crazy that game is!

From what I've gathered, the point was to: 1.) Rebrand Vista, because calling it Mojave in commercials wasn't working. 2.) Convince people such as myself to finally upgrade from Windows XP (hasn't worked so far). The funny thing is, once you actually loaded Vista onto a system that was built and configured for it, and they put in the patches and whatnot, Vista was pretty darned good. What a coincidence, something works properly when you don't try to shoehorn it onto a computer built for an older OS.... from what I've heard, 7 actually works fine on x86 computers. Hell, I've heard people run 7 on pentium 2 computers just to see if it'll work, and sure enough it would.

I also reckon I should comment on how utterly amazing the films score is, I haven't heard a film score that was so powerful and engrossing since Star Wars. No lie. Who ever was behind that is a genious. it was james horner, the same guy who did star trek II the wrath of khan.

So nobody is going to talk about Studio Ghibli's new movie Karigurashi no Arrietty aka The Borrowers Studio Ghibli made the official announcement of their new full length feature film titled Karigurashi no Arrietty (The Borrower Arrietty). The film will be an adaptation of Mary Norton's Carnegie Medal winning novel The Borrowers and, as hinted earlier on GhibliWorld, will be directed by Yonebayashi Hiromasa.
Unlike the original novel, which tells a story about tiny people who "borrow" things from normal humans during the 1950's in Enland, Studio Ghibli have transferred their version to Tokyo Koganei in 2010 (Koganei is where Studio Ghibli is settled) and tell the story of 14-year-old little Arrietty (Chiisana Arriety was the films original title). Karigurashi no Arrietty is to be released summer 2010 and will have a length of about 80 minuteskarigurashi.jp/pg. 22, cthulu did a post on it. that post was then no sold.

finished skip-beat!
that ending was abrupt as all hell. It was like they ran out of money or something and just said "yeah... here we'll show you how far the main character has come since the beginning of the series but leave THIS GIANT PLOT THREAD hanging."
like yeah, the main character has grown a lot since the beginning of the show, but damnit you don't make the audience like the cast of characters that much only to have it end that abruptly.

Played the Torchlight demo and I thought it was really fun. Nice visuals, the explosions and attacks are colorful and impressive, whole lot of loot, and really easy to get into. I don't really care if it's single-player only. For $10, that's an absolute steal IMO. Seems like something that could take up a good chunk of my time. And I really like how your pet can go to town and sell any spare loot. Talk about convenient. As for Steam itself, I understand the criticisms (can't resell games, tied to your account, etc.). But I love the convenience of being able to download a game and delete it whenever you like, without fear of losing a hard copy. And they tend to have a lot of nice deals/bargains. plus if it's tied to your account you can transfer over your library of games to another computer with ease. And I don't get the reselling criticism. since when, if ever, could you re-sell a pc game that has to verify a CD key? once the key is used, isn't it basically tied to that computer/ISP?

torchlight from what I've seen is an evolved form of diablo, but with a handy "make game into a rougelike" button. If by "evolved" you mean there is shared loot and a pet, then yes, it's evolved. Aside from that it is virtually Diablo with updated graphics and a lack of multiplayer. dude, that pet can cast magic, and go back to the market and sell your needless loot.
