Apparently the original idea for Harlem Heat was that they were going to be convicts that Colonel Robert Parker won in a card game. They would be led to the ring by Parker who looked like a southern plantation owner while wearing chains. Fortunately someone came to their senses and nixed it. However you can tell it was close to being greenlighted. For instance in the 1993 Fall Brawl Wargames poster which has all the guys in the main event on it, both Harlem Heat members are clearly wearing prision uniforms. There was also a early match of there's on YouTube I saw where they have prison uniform tops but at least have their regular black and red tights they were wearing at the time and didn't come out in chains. youtu.be/Myhyx4RmauQAlso , in that Fall Brawl photo, you can see the chains around their prison shirts.

I’m calling it now. This is the thread that ends FAN. If we survived peeing in the shower and pineapple on pizza we can survive this...I hope. …peanut butter on pizza? Can we? Should we?

I'd go the distance for that cake. Guess we’re all alone, in our time of need.

Michael being weaker and Laurie being strong enough to beat him was the one thing I thought they got right, thematically. The longevity and strength of evil couldn’t outlast the strength of a survivor. It’s literally the only kind of beautiful message the new trilogy had to give. And it is the only thing that really pays off as a bookend for the original movie. I wonder if his powers transferring to C-man was what weakened him? Also, would that explain why C-man could see even though he didn’t have his glasses?* *insert witty my girl 2 reference here

How does Laurie defeat him so easily when before she had to have an entire house booby trapped to even stand a chance?
It felt like going the Childs Play route of having Myers’ guide our next generation boogeyman.
Disappointing movie.

It looked like Sammy got suspended because he was in Brazil this week.
Or he's on his honeymoon. Who does he think he is, Sean Mooney?

The Rock is an odd one. My sisters and the girls in high school hated him because he was a big dumb wrestler. Dwayne Johnson movie star however, same sisters and girls can't stop going on about how handsome he is. Are they aware they’re the same person? <insert Vince smelling money gif>

I could have seen him challenging for the US and IC titles. At the height of his popularity, I could see him as part of a money in the bank, elimination chamber, or survivor series tag match. Could even see a shot at the WHC as the main event of raw or Smackdown. But not as a main e enter or actual champion. The feud with Emma and Santino wrote itself, they just dragged it out way too long and never gave it a proper pay off. After that, Adam arose seemed like a natural opponent. That injury really effected his career unfortunately. He had a decent amount of steam coming out of the Jericho feud and would've definitely been better then Axel. However they just seemed to give up on him afterwards for whatever reason. Like I can't remember anything of note he did after the Jericho feud until Breezango which wasn't until 2016 I believe. Yeah once they slot someone else into your spot, you’re pushed to the side until that story line wraps up. And then hopefully the writers remember who you are when they pen their next story.

I remember one of the critisms of Fandangirl was that she would never react at ringside to anything. She was a much better dancer than Summer because she was a proper trained ballroom dancer. With Summer though as its been said since she was a trained wrestler she could get more involved. Part of the shtick was for Summer and Fandango tinge delusional, nowhere near the hot stuff they thought they were. Like Honky To k nan acting like he could sing better than Elvis. And the two of them had great chemistry. Vince just didn’t strike while the udon was hot during the initial spurt of popularity, and he didn’t hedge any idea what to do with them in the longer term. It was a passing fancy. Fandango got hurt; looks like he was supposed to win the IC title.

Can't speak for TV, but they sitll happen on the indys. Like DPW is holding one in a couple weeks There’s a cool twist; the 4 winners then face off in one match. Could be the future of one night tournaments.

Another argument I've heard is that even though as fans, we like them, they don't draw in general. Which kinda makes sense when you realize by their very nature, tournaments are basically a mystery box in terms of what matches you're actually getting outside of the first round. Which means you either load up the first round and potentially waste your big matches right away (and likely hurt them since one-night tournaments kinda require the first round to be somewhat brief) or you run the risk of people not really buying in just for a CHANCE to see a match they really want to. Right; like hyping a mystery man back in the day. If they were anyone that would draw, their name would be on the marquee.

a man is like a piece of cheese Yeah....that was a weird joke. Like I know it probably was meant to show his age since he couldn't remember the end of the statement, but it was not done well at all. youtu.be/a6Dc7W6jXCo
