Looking back, 92 was such a great year for the WWF.

And to add to what Hollywood said, which is implied in my above post, Bret KNEW who these people were as he agreed to the interview twice before...

He lost any chance of sympathy from me during the whole backstory thing. He wanted to interview Bret in Italy during Christmas 2006. Bret wasn't going to be on the continent at the time. He calls this frustrating and unprofessional. How so? Was Bret supposed to cancel his vacation plans? Does he think he can just show up anywhere at anytime and expect things to turn out perfectly? I could go down to my local arena on the day of WrestleMania, but it's a safe bet that I wouldn't find a major wrestling event. That's not poor management; that's just assuming something will be there after being told it won't. Huh? The statement only says Bret agreed to an interview back then but couldn't because of scheduling issues. Nowhere is any blame given? Methinks you have wrong end of stick. Nice rant though

To add my thoughts:
- The film maker doesn't call the statement a "shoot" anywhere. That's what other people have called it.
- Those who are hating Bret because of this story (and yes look around, there are plenty of claims of people boycotting future signings etc) need to realise that Bret should only shoulder a small part of the blame here. The majority should go to the manager as it was clearly her mistakes that led to this.
- But as someone else put better than me in another forum, now that Bret Hart knows all of the facts (assuming he didn't on the day - although he did read the Emails confirming an interview would be set up) why has he not done anything about it now? Management issue an apology etc? I think this is the real "dirty meat" of the situation.
- Those hating the film maker need to realise he gave Hart plenty of props throughout the statement. And said multiple times he isn't trying to sway anybodies opinion (I don't think this implies he could change the world by his words, merely that people ARE influenced by what they read. Its the basic premise of comunication).
- RE the confirmation of the interview. If he was told the interview would be set up, then they (Producer / Manager) start talking about minute details i.e. sending a copy of filmed footage to Canada so Bret can see it upon return, giving addresses to send to etc, I can't really see how somebody can get hung up on this.
These are my thoughts, anyway.

What could be sweet? Somebody NOT being in something?

The doc is Bloodstained Memoirs, and stars RVD, Foley and Jericho. Saw this story on the Bloodstained Memoirs Facebook group. If you don't have Facebook, try MySpace at www.myspace.com/sexandviolencemovieThe whole story is chronicled in the latest blog. Its a good read.

Wasn't the "flea market" line a shoot comment by Hogan prior to the fued? Something Russo tried to capatalise on?

"It's me, Austin! It was me all along!" I just had a gut feeling it was going to be McMahon...and boy was I disappointed when it came true. I actually thought it was going to be Owen Hart. It was pretty soon after he died, I was young at the time so thought it could have been a work (like everything else in wrestling). And when Austin had a peak at him the week prior to the reveal, JR said on commentary "Austin looks like he has seen a ghost"...

If I had the chance to provide more money for my family (without the risk of injury) I would do it.
Some people are just too geeky to see this however.
