It was so stupid just losing the title the next day out of nowehere though. It would have meant more for Hunter to win it at Unforgiven.

Why would New Japan join some little indy fed (I earn more money than indy wrestlers and promoters) in order to challenge the WWE? It doesn't make sense.
Too many cooks spoil the brew et all. If TNA, can't do it on their own with their own direction (even come close to being a threat!) why would complicating matters help? If anything, being linked with some grundgy indy fed would only hurt things.

Yup. The plan was for Bulldog to walk out victorious but someone (whether it was Vince, Shawn, or who, nobody knows exactly) decided to change that and have Shawn win. It was completely pointless as the title immediately became a joke with Shawn just having Rude/Chyna/Hunter carrying it around. And then Bulldog's sister died a few months later, having sat there in the audience and watched Michaels go over Bulldog. The belt was basically created as a trophy for Davey Boy and wasn't really meant to be defended a whole lot. Davey Boy dedicated his win (which he he knew was gonna win to his dying sister). HBK got wind of this and potlicked to Vince he should get the win because it would put more heat on him with his feud against Taker. HBK did it just to be a dick, bottom line. Yeah, make sense of all that. Not exactly. According to both Bret and Shawn's books, the idea was for Davey to drop the bell to Shawn in England via a screwy finish (and it was VERY screwey - got a ton of heat hence all the bottles) but the bigger plan was for a rematch in "Mayhem in Manchester" the following year - which would have done HUGE business. One problem though, by next year, neither was wrestling for the WWF. Bulldog DID dedicate the match to his sister in an interview with The Sun newspaper (as the plan was originally for him to win). But obviously plans changed. For something so personal, I'm surprised everybody agrereed to the change. Bret said the light in Davey's eyes dies that day.

Who said Bam Bam Bigalow? Watch him get pounded in MMA: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ovOibFqM6wI have never heard anything about him being a tough guy in the locker room. 100% tougher than the average guy in a pub of course (running through the burning building for example) but as for being legit tough, you have to listen to the stories about Meng throughout the years taking on groups of people at a time. My vote would go to Ken Shamrock however. In his prime that is.

I remember the kids play pen I used to go to (you know, big slides, zip lines, ball pit etc) having a Wrestlemania 7 video in the back of the counter.
I also remember the big f*** off box for Wrestlemania 4 in Blockbuster.

Was the Race bump on Saturday Nights Main Event vs Hogan? Where Race just belly flops the table, which does not break, but bends. He didn't belly flop through, he went head first. That's what makes the bump insane, no one was doing anything close to that back then. Are you sure? I watched the SNME DVD not so long ago and recall a belly flop. Is it the same match we are talking about?
