For non-twist off bottles I use the edge of the kitchen cabinet if there's not a bottle opener around. Otherwise I use my shirt like a pussy.

On the flip side, recaps get really annoying when you're watching several episodes back to back on Netflix or something. I always skip past the recap in that situation.

That still happens in movies all the time. Off the top of my head, it happened in This is the End. Something they've kind of stopped doing is having a character light a cigarette only to instantly get a short lecture about smoking or being told to put it out. I swear, this happened in movies all the damn time, I even saw it again today in a movie from 2001 (Kill Me Later). Thankfully, this doesn't seem to happen very often in newer movies.

I remember there being a really good Benoit vs Jericho submission match on the RAW taping. I wish they'd do it more often. It was interesting seeing the Japanese fan reactions.

Easily. Gregory Helms was generic as f***. Wasn't he supposed to be a journalist? That's actually fairly unique in pro wrestling. I'm pretty sure he's referring to when he dropped the Hurricane gimmick. I agree with him on that. Gregory Helms was so damn generic, and his first feud as a heel had him in a PPV match with Jerry Lawler that was just awful and awkward.

I second the Trailer Park Boys recommendation. Also, Weeds if you haven't seen it. Dexter too.
As far as movies, check out Tucker and Dale vs Evil.

I remember when I went to the Nitro where Goldberg beat Hogan, I was seated in the nosebleeds and couldn't hear any of Hogan's opening promo where he said Goldberg would have to beat Scott Hall first before getting his title shot. Later, during intermission, the ring announcer reminded us of the angle but all we could hear was that Goldberg would have to go through Scott Hall tonight, which caused most of the audience to start booing because we didn't realize the title match would still happen that night. I think we were all surprised when they still did the match.
I think this is just a problem with the acoustics in the Georgia Dome (or maybe domes in general) as I couldn't understand The Rock's promo or any of the backstage skits at WM 27, everything seemed to echo too much. Then again, I understood all of the promos at the 2 RAW's I attended in 99 and 2000. I'm pretty sure we were always in the top section.

As someone that's been reading and writing about wrestling on the internet since the late 90's, I can certainly see where this hivemind business comes from. For one, you have to understand that this forum is a bit different. This place was originally wrestlecrap, a place to laugh at the bad things in wrestling without getting too serious. I think that attitude is still around today.
This "IWC Smark hivemind" shit comes from wrestling columnists I think. For example: 411mania in the late 90's/early 2000's was very anti-HHH, pro-Benoit, anti-Hogan, pro-Angle, anti-Goldberg, pro-Jericho, etc.
"Smarks" generally boo showmanship and cheer workrate, but adore a good mixture of the two. Wrestling writers like Meltzer and especially the internet columnists like Scott Keith basically taught an entire generation of internet fans what to like and dislike in wrestling.
When you consider this, the hivemind attitude isn't that far fetched...I mean, it really WAS like that for a long time. This board and probably some other ones have been progressive in the last few years in that posters are coming out as big Cena fans and stuff like that but honestly, it comes across as going against the grain just like the "IWC attitude".

I like the big unique stages for stuff like Wrestlemania and PPV's but I feel like the Raw and Smackdown sets are boring and repetitive. Still, the sets don't bother me like everything else does. The crowd lighting, Sin Cara's lighting, music in backstage segments...that shit needs to go.

and you still bitch about it?! People like Xavier Woods get called up, a new star gets called up which is what you guy's have been wanting and you still complain. Because they brought him up in a nothing storyline that does him no favors and gets Brodus as a heel I see it differently. First off, at least he has a storyline right off the bat. Second of all, Tons of Funk and R-Truth were doing nothing before and now they also have a storyline. I don't see the problem here at all.

8,000 run ins, a first blood match, a ladder match, and a hardcore match. On free TV. Not to mention the Tag Titles, IC Title, Hardcore title and WWF title were all defended (unless I read the script wrong or the actual show was a little different). However, I think this was the first RAW on TNN so that would explain why they went overboard with the big gimmicks and title matches, they were trying to get a huge rating.

There's just too many guys that WWE undoubtedly made into stars. Most of them had wrestling experience but only at a very small level.
