I actually really liked Jerry Lawler's book. I LOVED all the inside info about the Andy Kaufman feud.

As far as I can make out, In 1985, the NWA had the belt made for Flair which he used until 1991. When he left due to his very huge row with Jim Herd, flair demanded back his $25,000 deposit plus interest before he gave the belt back. Herd said that he wasn't paying Flair a thin dime, so flair, took his belt and went to WWE.
According to Flair, he was never paid his money (which amounted to $38,000), so he kept the belt for good, and gave it to Triple H as a gift.

I can't believe how FUNNY this is. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wi4G1s2hPZQA HIGH-LARIOUS PSA by the MCMG about the dangers of Beer Money These guys are amazing, and it's great to see TNA utilizing them in a role that works to their strengths. Brian~

Look, I know Corny is a legend in the business, he has forgotten more about wrestling than I'll ever know, and he's one of the best interviews on the planet, but am I the only one getting a little tired of him?
To me it seems like Jim remembers every single slight ever levied against him from anyone and everyone in the wrestling business. He seems like one of those guys who, unless you treat him like he's the King of Siam, genuflect towards him every time you see him, and NEVER question his word of God about wrestling, he'll just flip out, dog-cuss you, and expect you to just take it because you're a brain-dead peon who deserved to get cussed out.
I mean, yeah he's entertaining as all hell when he goes off, but it's like he's po'ed at the world, and refuses to ever apologize or just agree to disagree with some people. Which is why he is probably happy (or at least the closest he ever is to happy) to have the book at ROH, at least there he has no-one to answer to, or to tell him no.
Oh, I must also agree that eventually one day, he'll rub someone the wrong way and get his teeth knocked out. And come to think of it, since Jim is SO obsessed with keeping Kayfabe alive, doesn't it seem a little hypocritical that he keeps doing these shoot videos?
I love Corny's honesty, and without him my all-time favourite promotion, SMW wouldn't have happened...but man he needs to just chill out a bit.

Something I've been wondering for a while, just who the Zark IS that guy who yells that he is the greatest manager in the world today? (who at least had the good nature to take off his shoe before he kicked someone...wouldn't want anyone getting HURT from his heavy leather heel.)
Thanks

Howdy all!
I am going to Raw live in Knoxville next monday and I can't wait. I've been to a wwe event before so I know what to expect. I just have one question. And it's more for my dad than anyone else. Does raw usually have a house show main event after the show is over? He really wants to know so we can plan accordingly. Sorry to be annoying. But I was just curious
thanks

Hey guys, I was browsing Wikipedia a few days ago and I was reading all of the Wrestling Observer newsletter awards. I was at the Most Disgusting Promotional Tactic category and found that the 1981 award was "won" by "Monster factory" by LeBelle Promotions? What exactly was the monster factory, and jusy why did it win the award?
Thanks for the help

Hey guys, sorry to bump a dead thread like this, but the show is less than a week away and I am JACKED! I have one last question to ask.
I looked at the tickets unlimited website and they said there will be a double main event:
Triple H v Randy Orton in a street fight for the WWE Title & Edge and Matt hardy v The Undertaker and Jeff Hardy
Does that mean that these will be the last matches of the night after the taping is over, and do they still do the elaborate entrances for the post-taping entrances?
Thanks

Hey guys, I am abut to do something I have never done before...I bought a ticket to see an ECW/SmackDown! taping at Knoxville on April 14th.
What I need to know, what should I expect when I see it live? I've never been to see WWE before, the closest I ever was when I saw a live episode of Nitro back in 1995.
So what should I expect? Thanks in advance

Hey guys, This is Brian A. Henegar again. Well, the first wrestling riffing (Bash '91) is almost finished, and I am excited about it, but I have started work on the second one, and now I need some help. I have decided I wanna do "WOW Women of Wrestling Unleashed". But my old VHS copy has long-since been lost to the four winds, so I need to know, does anyone out there have a copy you can make for me?
Thanks

Well, progress on writing the first riff is going well, but the actual recording work has hit a snag, as my microphone I was using has decided to die. I have a new one ordered from ebay, and it will be here soon, but the downtime I have now, has given me a chance to do some work on the concept, and I must say, I love the suggestions you;ve given me. Now, this is a tough one, but I figures it can;t hurt to ask. I wanna do "Women of Wrestling Unleashed", but the copy I taped on my VCR is nowhere to be found, and I need to know, is there anyone out there who can help me get a copy?
Thanks

Hey all, this is Brian A. Henegar long-time crapper, and I have something to ask the forums. You guys are probably familiar with the concept of Mystery Science Theater 3000, and like you, I miss it. Well the guys who ran it are running a new service called "RiffTrax" where you can download mp3 commentaries for movies at a cost of $.99 up to $2.99. Well, a new part is called iRiffTrax where people can upload their own and sell them for a profit.
I am here because I am starting a new project called "Ringside Riffs" where I riff on suitable bad wrestling matches and events. I am wondering the folks here at the boards would be interested. My first event which I hope to have ready by January of 2009, will be the 1991 Great American Bash.
Also I am looking for suggestions for future riffs. I can do single matches or whole events. any ideas you can give will be greatly appreciated, I hope to have a free sample ready by the first of the year.
Thanks
Brian A. Henegar
