I can take a partial shot at this. Don't take this as 100% accurate.
I can't identify two of the characters (and not sure that I'm right on all the identified characters), so I got the following: 天真活液含稚氭迎賱撲(?)我芳(?)
Put the first 10 characters into Google Translate and you get "Naive live fluid with juvenile..."

Was a Singapore/USA dual citizen until the age of 22, when Singapore made me choose one. Went with USA.

Possibly somewhere in North Dakota?
But that would depend on an oil recovery and the ability to convince people to move to North Dakota.

Saw one on Who Wants to be a Millionaire but didn't catch it then, only to read about it being a mistake later.
Question was "What is the lowest possible number of strokes you need to make to win a set in tennis?" Their answer was 24. Should've been 12.

I've used Duolingo and Khan Academy. Both are alright; I've only used them as they are among the few free ones that I know about.

Since this topic has expanded to include spelling of names, I guess I can chime in here.
It seems to me "Elliot" is a much more common spelling of the name, yet like at least 75% of the time people spell my name "Elliott".

UEFA have changed the Champions League spot allocations starting from the 2018/19 season. For starters, top 4 teams from the top 4 countries (currently Spain, Germany, England, Italy) all get automatic entry to the group stage. Other things like "historical coefficients" to be considered in the future, which would only serve to slowly turn the competition into a closed shop.
Basically, this is a huge step closer towards turning the Champions League into the "Super League" of European powerhouses idea that keeps getting pitched.

"Could of", "Could care less", "their/there/they're"...
What irks me more than these mistakes being made is the "languages evolve" argument that is used to justify these mistakes as acceptable. Then again, that is possibly how a lot of our currently accepted words were developed; so perhaps they have a point.
On a related note, I only recently found out that in America "aluminum" is spelled the way it is pronounced. I always thought it's funny how they pronounce it as if the second "i" isn't there; then one day I realized "hold on, that second "i" really isn't there".

Caught the Badminton Mens Singles Final this morning.
Disappointingly, Lee Chong Wei gets a THIRD Olympic silver in a row, in most probably his last shot at gold. Would also have been Malaysia's first gold this year had he won.

Singapore's first ever Olympic gold medal.
They've been pushing very heavily for Olympic glory these last two decades so it's going to be huge there.

"The Magic of the FA Cup" no! just no, there is no magic, there is just a football game, sometimes the lesser team wins and then either gets dicked in the next round by a bigger club, or can go on to have a good cup run and maybe get to Wembley, at no point does anyone saw a woman in half. I understand what they mean when pundits/the bbc say this, but once you use it every single round to describe a game where the premier league team didn't win its redundant. also i hate the Football Focus show on BBC one, they way they do interviews on that show its like your watching some David Lynch film school project about how the military interrogate people. and Soccer Saturday can f*** off as well. "This is why the Premier League is the best league in the world" is fast becoming the Premier League equivalent of the "magic of the FA Cup". I hear that every time the underdog as much as takes the lead, or holds on to a draw against the favourite.

The good thing about this sort of thing is that it's perhaps a sign that the company is in decent financial shape; at least decent enough to waste money on such activities.
We don't have those at my workplace.

Depends whether you're happy just getting by, and if the answer is no, whether getting paid better would change that.

Did a double take when I came across the name of Houston Dynamo's interim head coach... Wade Barrett. Not the same one, unfortunately.

Congratulations to Portugal.
They were the team I least wanted to win, but can't say they didn't earn it. I liked that the winning goal came from someone as outside the radar as Éder.

Extremism thrives where people are, to put it bluntly, poor and stupid.
Stupid in that they are easy to brainwash, poor enough that they've got nothing to lose, and whatever material (or immaterial) gain they get out of giving up their lives to carry out an attack like this is worth it.

So for the semi-finals, we have:
Portugal vs Wales Germany vs France
It'd be nice to see Wales win it, but wouldn't mind Germany or France either.

Full-time: France 5-2 Iceland
Comfortable win for France, and a good confidence booster ahead of the match against Germany.
