I live in Louisiana, and the Saints winning the Superbowl was a life changing experience down here. While I am sure the people of Green Bay cherish their Superbowl win, I don't think the victory has as much emotional attachment to where to streets will be gridlocked all night long. To us, it was a major milestone in Louisiana history. Plus, it was closure for Hurricane Katrina.

No, the New Orleans Arena was not used for the celebration, but the whole downtown area was gridlocked for the celebration. There would have been no possible way for people to get to the arena.

Even though the WWE books arenas months in advance, this is the second time in a row that the WWE was booked in the hometown of the Superbowl winning team.
Last year's schedule after the Superbowl was Raw Lafayette, LA - Smackdown New Orleans Once the Saints won the Superbowl, Smackdown was moved to Baton Rouge
WWE is not moving Smackdown tonight in lieu of the celebration.

You forgot, what about Matt Striker using the term "mark out moment" on the broadcast ?

I guess we could say Santino deserve to be in at least a match in WM card based on his pops. I just hope they don't go this route on Raw or Smackdown this week. ABD comes out for a Royal Rumble celebration. Santino interrupts the celebration. GM makes a match for later in the night. ABD goes over clean, thus killed any momentum for Santino.

I just hope the writers now can capitalize on the pop that Santino got tonight. Let's hope that they don't brush in under the rug this week by having Del Rio beat Santino in a squash match.

I still watch wrestling, but the inconvenient truth is that a lot of people stop watching wrestling after a certain age, like they do with cartoons.

Austin would have got in the ring when Edge called him out. He wouldn't hide before a computer and Michael Cole. How could they explain it as Austin ?

Would you like to see a completely new person revealed as the GM ? Someone who has never been on WWE TV before. That would be a great way to build a character.

But I think the Beniot incident was the main driving force. They took a huge blow from it and really needed to clean up their image with the mainstream media.

Did the whole PG era come about because of the Beniot incident ?

In a singles match, no. He was in a six man tag on Raw before Wm 18 where Hogan was on the opposite side.

I think Low Ki is over 30 by now and the WWE isn't looking to hire anymore people over 30 at this point. I thought it was over 40. In that case, it looks like we won't be seeing Bastita in a WWE ring anytime soon.

When they reveal the anonymous GM, there has to be an explanation as to why he or she was hiding behind a computer for so long. For instance, it wouldn't make since for it to be someone like Stone Cold of the Rock. It has to be someone who is a cowardly character of sorts.

I just realized that Superbowl 2014 is going to held in The Meadowlands. If WWE decides to hold WrestleMania at MSG that year, this will be the first time ever that a Wrestlemania and a Superbowl have been held in the same area in the same year.

I don't think compelling storyline in their main interest. I think they are more concerned with getting mainstream celebrities affiliated with the program.
