411mania.com/wrestling/wwe-end-brand-split-women/According to the Wrestle Votes twitter account, the WWE will slowly be ending the brand split for women. I don’t see how that’s gonna fly when they move SmackDown to Fox, maybe the women stay on one show? If that’s the case, make the tag division Raw exclusive while you’re at it.

Really interesting watch. Orton seemed to be the only one with any mic/camera presence. And man, he looks just like Randy. Really hope the other segments are leaked if they were ever shot.

Only experience with Riddle is what I’ve read on here and brief clips I’ve seen of NXT. But I caught his showdown with Drew Gulak on NXT this week and, despite thinking I wouldn’t like him, I found myself loving his schtick. The way he says bro, his surfer/stoner look, his sick mid 90s California funk/hip hop theme song, love it all. He definitely needs work on his promos, but the rest is pretty well put together.
Russo is balls tho.

I just really don't get the backlash on this This is Mark Henry, not JBL saying he's going to do this Henry is from the attitude era. So what? That was 20 years ago and in the beginning of his career, he's been around a lot longer since then and have watched many people come in and out that locker room
Yep. I agree 100%.
Just because he's from the Attitude Era and others screwed it up people are thinking he of all people will suddenly want to go back to the old ways with the hazing and other negative stuff. Forget about the fact that he's been one of the guys to try to clean the old locker room mess. Forget about the fact that he's nice in most interviews, quotes, comments and there's always a good word about him. Just because he's from then and because a few people don't like a few lines of his they assume he's like the rest even though he as a person is far different from the Bradshaws and those others who abused others.
Idk, that shit's lame to me. Assuming someone's the same as others simply because others do certain things is essentially putting everyone in the same bucket. Going by that logic I can say "well all wrestling fans are stalkers" because a great amount of them are even though it's not true. Going by that logic I can say "anyone with a particular avatar is a bad person." We can use that logic in so many different situations. It's just, nah that ain't it Chief.
When I made this thread I didn't think I would see these kinds of responses. I figured people wouldn't be lumping everybody into the same bucket. That's not the wave. I think most people are just reading the quotes, which can easily be taken out of context. I listened to the interview itself, and if you listen to it, you know Henry is just talking about professionalism and respect and that he’s basically gonna be a frontline supervisor making sure things are kept in order. That said, I understand how what he said can be taken the wrong way. I just wish people would listen to the interview before thinking Henry wants to bring back hazing or wrestlers court or whatever other garbage there used to be. He doesn’t, people! He simply wants people to be respectful and professional, as anyone should be in any profession!

The crux of what Henry was saying is that when he came up as a rookie, he didn’t have it easy on the road because the previous generation trashed hotel rooms and wrecked rental cars. So when Henry would try to get a car or room, they’d say “ohh, you’re a wrestler? We don’t have anything available.” Henry and his generation worked hard to change the public perspective of that so these newer guys don’t run into those problems. He sees complacency and laziness, and feels things like leaving the locker room a mess could lead to a bad opinion of wrestlers again.
The way he said it, this is also a role he has been given by management in the company. This is his job now, to make sure the wrestlers learn how to do things professionally. And if they refuse, he will see to it they get fined.
This ain’t about hazing or bullying.

Also the only thing missing was You think Dean could grow a Mullet in under a week? I saw this picture and thought, man, I know Luger did this but I didn’t realize Hacksaw cleaned up and did the same thing. Now you’ve made me realize my mistake and I don’t know how to feel.

I assume this mostly meant his twitter account. And while there aren’t any WWE references there now (snapshot from Wayback machine is from January 29, 2019 and is the same as currently) I don’t see any older snapshots to indicate what it may have read before. Most usually have something about being WWE Superstar XXX tho, but maybe Taker never had anything and someone JUST noticed.

411mania.com/wrestling/the-undertaker-removes-wwe/REAAAALLY doubt this means anything, but Taker removed all references to WWE from his social media pages and put up a link with booking information. Hmmmmmm..... Edit: changed title to reflect new information.

I feel bad for the guy. They didn't give him a chance. I wouldn’t say that. He was prominent enough despite never really doing much. But he said he was heavy into drugs while he was on the main roster and had lost a ton of weight because of it. If that’s the case, they probably saw he had some kind of issue and didn’t trust him to do anything more.

Pokémon and anything anime. Just didn’t like then. POG. There was a 6 month period, where you would go to the basement of my elementary school and It was 100 kids playing pog. I was about 12 at the time and thinking "This is dumb as shit". Yeah. I understood why someone would want to collect them but I didn't understand why anyone would want to play the game itself. I collected a bunch, but when I tried playing everyone always seemed to have a special slammer where they could just take your pogs without playing. When one dude pulled out one and tried to take an expensive metal slammer I had, I was like nah, this is dumb, I’m out.

Happy to say west Chicago suburbs is at 18 degrees and looking up! My kitchen pipes finally unfroze and we’re able to go downstairs without winter jackets on! I’m practically going outside in shorts.

I don’t understand the complaints about Trent. If I get a job offer and agree to it, but haven’t signed anything yet, and something better comes along? Why the hell wouldn’t I hop on the better offer instead?

That was my thought. They were stuck with this idea of Nia entering the Men’s Rumble to do what Becky did. Otherwise, The Man winning the Rumble to end the show was the call to go with.

Seth would be better if he challenged Bryan so Balor has a clear path for a Demon Match Becky's was perfect With the way Brock was pissed and attacked Balor after the match, this would be amazing. Now I definitely want to see Seth challenge Bryan, while Balor guns for a rematch but Heyman says no, so Balor wins the shot at Chamber and goes on to Mania to beat Lesnar as the Demon.

Let’s be honest, the Nakamura/Joe/Roode era of NXT wasn’t on par with Gargano/Ciampa. Probably my least favorite era despite liking all three dudes.

I know a lot of people want Becky/Ronda. It makes sense, it’s a big money singles match and that’s whats supposed to headline WrestleMania. That’s I how felt too up until recently. If Ronda finishes up soon, then you lose one half of “the first ever Women’s WrestleMania Main Event.” If Charlotte is in it too, you have two people who can lay claim to that honor. And despite how impressive Ronda’s been in matches, if Charlotte is in the match, it’s going to be a better match, hands down.
I really like that idea of having Charlotte win the Rumble and choose to face both of them. Make it an elimination match and have Becky decisively beat both women and unify the titles in the Main Event. That’s a WrestleMania moment, baby.

I've taken three breaks. I first got into things in '84 and stayed a huge fan until somewhere around 1993 and that's about where I zoned out, and then moved to where I didn't have any real access to any TV shows. My first job at a convenience store in 1996-97 came with two coworkers who were old guys but geeking hard over the early days of the NWO and all the names they started talking about had me tuning in to see what was going on with all these old names. Went back into it hardcore until right after the Invasion and had such a bitter taste over that I gave up until the Pipebomb. And while they aren't lost, the years since the week after Punk left up through right now I have taken a hard sabbatical on watching a lot of it. I keep up mostly on here now, and check out YT clips when something piques my interest. Mine is similar, except it was 89 where I became a huge fan when a neighbor I would stay with used to be a huge WWF fan and would rent VHS tapes of all the PPVs. I was a kid, so I didn’t have a chance to lose interest during the New Generation, which remains one of my favorite time periods. Caught the Attitude Era and rise of the nWo as a teenager and couldn’t be happier that my love for wrestling was suddenly mainstream and everyone watched it. Then the Invasion happened. Then the nWo was unleashed. Then my favorite ever, Shawn Michaels, was wearing bike shorts, a stupid hat and an nWo shirt (tied in the front?). I stopped watching about there. I caught One Night Stand 1 and 2, and watched a couple months of WWECW before I couldn’t stand it anymore. In 2009, after getting divorced and finding a lot more time on my hands, I caught TNA one day, where a combination of the Knockouts division, the tag-team division and the Main Event Mafia made me a fan. Then Hogan and Bischoff showed up and I tapped out in June 2010 (approximately). And finally I decided to give WWE a chance, as I’d heard Shawn Michaels just retired and Bret Hart had come back. I tune in to find the Nexus destroying John Cena and a masked CM Punk, and taking apart Raw. I was mesmerized. This was what I remember from being a kid. It took a few months to realize how much I had been mis-led by that episode. But Punk held my attention for the next year (loved him on commentary, and New Nexus Punk is amazing) and then the Pipebomb happened. Between him and Daniel Bryan’s amazing heel run with AJ Lee, I stuck around until Crown Jewel. Couldn’t do it anymore. Now I just follow things here mostly.

One thing this has done is expose that Ryan Satin doesn't know how childbirth works - he posted something about if Ronda got pregnant right after WrestleMania, that she would come back at the 2020 Rumble - that's not enough time! She’d literally have to get pregnant like the day after WrestleMania and hit the gym a day after she gives birth. Then she’d have to somehow get into ring shape and work out any ring rust in about a week and a half/two weeks. I guess it’s POSSIBLE if she stays fit while pregnant and also happens to be a genetic freak on par with Cena.
