On an AWA show from the 80s I saw Wahoo McDaniel said if Manny Fernandez attacked him again, he'd bring a gun to the ring and shoot to kill.

My nephew really wanted to see the movie Garden State about two years ago and saw a copy on DVD at FYE new for $25. I told him I'm certain I could find a copy for $2-3 at a used media store, or at least he could get a lot cheaper on Amazon, but he wanted to watch it that night, so he bought it. That really annoyed me as a thrift store-type shopper.

I love Community and remembered watching Stalag 17 year prior and thought that his character was really cool in the film. It was years after Community was off the air that I found out the cool guy from Stalag 17 was Leonard.

I've always wondered what this movie was I saw late at night on a local syndicated movie block. I presume it was some kind of horror film and there were a lot of chickens being mutilated outside of a barn. Seemed like daylight. There was some kind of monster or madman killing them all and feathers were flying everywhere and the last shot of that scene was a dead chicken with grey liquid streaming out of its eyeball onto the ground. I saw this on TV around 1992-93 but it seemed like something from the early 80s-late 70s. Not too clear about the details since I was probably 10 when I saw this, but it's always stuck with me and I've never been able to figure out what it is.

Those that have met and talked with Nailz in the past 25 years must have found his real voice (without the WWF distortion effect) pretty damn jarring: When I was a little kid he scared me. He sounded like someone that would eat me if I ran into him in person. Without the distortion he sounds like a guy that calls into a radio sports talk show to yell about shortcomings of the Twins and Vikings.

There were a few names I only saw written down in the Apter mags as a kid. I thought Dibiase was pronounced "De-base" and I thought Dino Bravo was Die-no as in dinosaur.

Apparently Vince announced the dissolution of the WBF 4 days later, so that may have been the last episode of Bodystars. I'm not sure, though as I can't find an episode guide.

Don't know if anyone else is interested in this, but thought I'd share this find. I thought it was neat. I ran across a 1992 local Memphis Tv guide in some old papers in my closet, and I noticed in July 1992 on a Saturday there was 8 1/2 hours of wrestling on TV in Memphis, though a lot at the same time. The Studio Wrestling on Channel 5 is USWA, WWF at 10 AM is WWF Challenge. WCW Saturday night isn't designated with the drawing of wrestling but is there on the schedule. Also, notice that at 9 AM on USA is WBF Bodystars.

There is this one episode I've been looking for forever. Dom Deluise did a cooking segment and kept trying to be funny using double entendres as he was cooking and Conan wasn't having any of it and essentially making fun of Dom's "comedy". It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen, I want to it was somewhere around 2001-2002 I'd guess, so before I had DVR and so I only saw it once live. So hopefully I can see that again.

Yep, grew up in Tennessee. My dad did this. I tried it several times, just ended up tasting like coke with soggy peanuts in it.
My dad also used to put peanut butter on bologna and roll it up like a fruit rollup. Not sure if that was a southern thing or just my dad thing.

I remember as a kid, trying to verbalize the concept of a "knock-off" when talking about Pinwheel and its relation to Sesame Street. And yet I loved Pinwheel. My family only had cable for a very short time when I was a kid but I loved these shows as kid circa 1987. Pinwheel, Today's Special, I even had a Danger Mouse doll. Most people I was friends with had no idea who he was.
