It's sad to see Jake has fallen off the wagon again. Tragic that such a talented man has such self destructive problems. However in this case, I think the promoters are idiots. The knew booking Jake that he has a history of alcohol abuse. It wouldn't have been a shock that he had been drinking all night, they would have seen it. He shouldn't have been allowed out in front of the crowd in that state. Does that nobody indy wrestler in the match with him think he's a tough guy for shooting on an old guy who's that drunk? Jake being unprofessional enough to show up drunk doesn't make it right to then act just as unprofessional by stiffing him and abusing him. He just shouldn't have been allowed out the curtain. Apologize to the fans, tell them Jake is drunk and can't perform. But there's no need to send him out there in that state. It's no wonder they got a crap match, and had him exposing himself to the crowd. I really hope for Jake's sake he can pull himself together some day. He's had a messed up life in a lot of respects, but he has had many chances to make something of it. It's a damn shame. I believe, as the guy says in his blog, that they couldn't keep Jake backstage and were reported to of heard from somebody on Jakes team that he could still go when he's like that. Which, in itself, sounds absolutely ludicrous lol!

There was a recent thread about this, personally I don't think he was ever that great.
I liked the ending to his match with Savage at Wrestlemania though, I always remembered it before I saw it again, but looking back he wasn't all that great.

Fliar, the space age mask wearing buzz lightyear and Rey mysterio hibrid?
Lol, joking!
It's hard to say, if he did everything the same then maybe not. But, it is really hard to say, as a lot of things in wrestling today come from flair or that generation he's from, so asking if he'd make it today is a tough question.
As a wrestler and performer, no doubt, but in getting over and becoming the legend he is, it's so hard to imagine.

I don't see it being "Smark bait," after all we've seen from Jake. From his old WWF days, to Beyond the Mat, Heroes Of Wrestling & whatever else we've heard. blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=121691064&blogID=432803856There's the blog of the wrestler he was in the ring with, JT Lightening. After reading that, I don't think I like the JT guy - I dunno, he just seems to be attacking Jake so much. I'm not saying anything different what I've already said, but Jake has problems of his own, airing such things wont help. As many people say about musicians Pete Doherty & Amy Winehouse, if they weren't watched so much they'd be forgotton about to clean up their own act. I hope to God some people forget about Jake for a few years. & also, if this was "smark bait" it would be somewhat stupid. Expressing Jakes "Demons" and running with them, it's not reeling in smark it's reeling in wrestling fans who once cared for Jake. If this was WWE or TNA, I think we'd all be enthralled by the performance, but as it's small-time indie, we're losing interest in the man as a whole. Personally, I know I keep posting here lol, but I am becoming thoroughly apathetic towards this whole debacle.

^ It'd be very interesting to see how they'd do that. Especially if, say, Edge was scheduled to win it and all that was left in the ring was Taker, HHH, HBK, & Show, and then Edge knocked himself unconcious or something. A plausable, but daft, would be for them to throw eachother out and then have a double over the top elimination.
Anyway, about Severn, was this the Rumble Vince won? Like I said before, if it was, all he'd have to do was eliminate Vince to make his point perfectly.

What if it were someone like Undertaker and HBK from a few years ago.
Last two men in the match, no chance of anyone stopping, HBK goes reckless and somehow gets taker over, difusing the whole scheduled ending. What would happen then? As the biggest name in WWE screwed them over?
Im not saying it would happen, but it could legit happen if someone pissed off that they weren't to win it when they thought they should.

Lmao^ Now that's wrong! I don't know how big a deal this is. If you book Jake Roberts, you may get to see one of the all time greats show he can still put on a good match. Or, you may get a train wreck. Train wrecks are entertaining too. Like it or not, that's the Jake Roberts experience. You don't just get the perfomer. You get the whole man, and I don't know how different they are. Maybe this company didn't get the match they wanted out of Jake, or maybe they got more. When you book Jake, the x factor is part of the package. You sound like you're actually cutting a promo lol, in support of Jake. Or as Jake, I don't know. Either way, turning up to work drunk and getting paid, performing poorly and going too far as exposing yourself to everyone there, including children, makes you a train wreck that doesn't deserve somebody being in your favour. It can't be explained, it shouldn't - He's an entertainer in his art, if he's entertaining in a way like this, then how can that be positive? Jake was my favourite wrestler at one point, too, but now he is somewhat of an embarressment to the sport. He has such talent that can't be matched, but f***ed it up, and instead of picking up the pieces within every chance he's had, he's came back and did pretty much the same thing. I don't want to hear anymore about Jake, because I know he's self-destructing and I honestly don't know what can be done to help him. He's aged disgracefully, he's been and done rehab and came out the same, he seems to have certain credible people behind him yet he always falls. Maybe it's just too late for excuses and about time everyone quietly forgot about Jake. He's too old for a new career, and too set in his ways to change. I hope to God he lasts another 30 years but, sadly, on the road he's on now it's either be a desperate or a short lifetime for the rest of it.

Mysterios uncle was the wrestler, not his Father, I don't think the next generation rule applies unless it's parent & child, Which is why I don't think Rey is ever said to be of second generation, when every other wrestler a la rhodes, dibiase, orton, all get reminded seemingly every couple of weeks. Rey is definitely from a family with wrestlers, but it isn't the same as Father-son, daughter.
Is David Flair still a part of WWE?
& Shane & Steph are third Generation lol, crazy to think but should be included as both have wrestled in the 'E before and most probably will again.

I love the way Sting took AJ out before being hit.
But, Im not such a big fan of this because, as much as it's emotional and strong, the crowd to me in TNA never seem to be listening for anything other than what they can pop for.
& jarret at the end, lol, I think that's crazy - is he back yet? I'm more just a TNA fan off this board and what I've seen, but I can't keep up to date with it. Im hoping this will make me want to though.
