Thought the latest episode was by far the best of the season. Can't wait to see what the next five episodes have in store for us.

It's over already? Ah man, I was hoping to be able to join back in on the frivolities after I'd finished watching that NOAH show. Damn. Day 1 is over, but we've still got six tapings over the next four days. Honestly, tonight felt more "headscratcher" than full-bore "Bigfoot Shuffle." I know, but I really ought to have paid more attention tonight than I did. I took it for granted that it would be going on for ages and I could dip in and out. Big mistake!

What is this company honestly?! A triple threat No DQ match (even though they're meant to be No DQ anyway) turns into a singles match that ends in a no contest. What?!

Bennett and Maria beat Galloway and Gail when Maria pinned Gail. I'm going to annoy Mayonnaise here but poor Gail, being pinned by Maria - she's so much better than that.

But I thought he and Tanahashi had settled their differences. Tana and him may have settled any issues they had personally but he still walked out on the company when it was in its darkest hour. New Japan are never going to forget that.

So is Shibata ever likely to get a run with the Heavyweight title, or am I just gonna die on that hill? Him signing a full-time contract and ending his freelancing days is a good sign but to be honest his NEVER Title and maybe the occassional tag title run is probably his ceiling now. They just hold grudges for a long time in Japanese wrestling.

Wembley would be the obvious one but there are lots of venues they could use. Google "City of London" Fair enough, I took it as the metropolitan area, but nice detail on your verbiage.

Where? The City of London is pretty small. Wembley would be the obvious one but there are lots of venues they could use.

Sure we lost but still a lot of positives from tonight. Most positive performance in a while. Only problem is, we continue to look toothless in attack. It's nothing new, and we've known about it for a long time but it's a serious problem when you need to win games.

I love learning stuff like this 'cos it is easy to assume the two countries are very similar but I have never known anyone, for example, go to a cinema on a Sunday. Hell, I'm not even sure many of them open on a Sunday around here. Sundays at cinemas are pretty busy. Even more so when there's a Bank Holiday Monday following it. Maybe it's different in different parts of the UK too but they are far from busy up here.

Magic went to the doctors with his girlfriend.
The doctor sat them down and asked "What seems to be the problem?"
Magic replied, "She's late, brah."

Is it really that big of a deal over in the States? 'Cos over here, Sunday is very much a stay at home day. Saturday is your out day. Sunday's the day people tend to spend at home, have a lie-in and after lunch watch TV type of day. In fact the busiest they may be would be around 6/7pm when Sunday Dinner is on the go. Weird how even countries like the UK and US still manage to have quite different cultural ways. Tend to use both. Sunday is more the family day, get togethers, brunch/lunch/dinner, and church and activities there. It usually winds down late afternoon, at least around here. You could get an afternoon start (3p on the east) and I'd think be okay but nothing around noon itself. So are we talking a 3pm start time for the entire show, or 3pm for the pre-show leading to a 5pm 'Mania?

Weird how even countries like the UK and US still manage to have quite different cultural ways. There isn't really much of a stay at home day here for a lot of people. Sunday, since it's a day when a lot of businesses are either closed or close up early, tends to kind of be a last minute, "Scramble to get everything done I need done before I go back to work on Monday," kind of day, or a, "Go take the kids to see a movie and grab lunch before they go back to school," kind of thing, then there's how a lot of churches have both morning and night services on Sundays and there are of course people who'll go to both in a day. It's slower than other days of the week but the world never really stops here. I love learning stuff like this 'cos it is easy to assume the two countries are very similar but I have never known anyone, for example, go to a cinema on a Sunday. Battle Formation '96 headlined by Hash/Takada. Also has Tenryu/Fujinami, Mutoh/Shinzaki and the excellent Sasuke/Liger. As I recall Meltzer didn't rate much of it that highly but as strange as it seems now, Meltz was quite anti-NJPW at that point. Meltzer only began supporting NJPW openly after the first KOPW. Before that it was mostly doom, gloom and Inoki being crazy/awesome. Yeah, and to be honest I totally agree with him when he was shitting on 2000s NJPW because Inoki was doing his level best to kill the company but in the 90s they were awesome. For whatever reason though, Meltzer was far more into AJPW than NJPW at the time.

I never really understood that line of argument, I mean they get Wrestlemania 5 hours earlier than usual for a start! Why is a Sunday 3pm start, as opposed to Sunday 8pm, a huge difference to the US market? It's not like it's airing at an unsociable time. Given how they run Mania it actually means a 1pm start (2 hour pre-show with matches). Sunday's are typically the day people are out during the day. Go to church and events there, brunch, family events, and other things like that and it can involve a bit of travel. Mania is announced well in advance so could plan but your also asking people to give up those activities which is hard to do. Is it really that big of a deal over in the States? 'Cos over here, Sunday is very much a stay at home day. Saturday is your out day. Sunday's the day people tend to spend at home, have a lie-in and after lunch watch TV type of day.
