They did it purely for PR; that doesn't mean it's not good.

I hope he doesn't end up giving everyone in the rehab center a DDT

How dependable is this place? I've never heard about it before.
Hope it is true, though.

They did it purely for PR; that doesn't mean it's not good. I tend to agree that this is simply a PR move. However, I hope Jake can conquer his demons once and for all. He was out of WWF when I first started watching, although I saw his less-than-stellar comeback in 1995-96.

No offense to the Snake, but I doubt it'll change anything. I hope I'm wrong though.

Just how every post so far has been about PR and crap.
It's shocking that I, a pessimist, am the only one that actually read that and thought it was a great thing. But all I'm seeing is "PR move" posts.

Yup, they did it just for PR. It's everywhere: press releases, front page on the newspapers, hell...it's even on WWE.com!

You know you're in trouble when you wish you were dying, or wish you were dead. And you curse God, screaming "Why can't You take me?
These were people far less fortunate than you, people who could use your money for essentials, and what did you do? You made fun of them. You humbled them and you humiliated them. Well, now it’s my turn. I’m going to make you beg, DiBiase, you are going to get down on your hands and knees. This time, you’ll be the one that’s humbled. This time, you’ll be the one that’s humiliated, and this time, you will be the one that grovels for the money. And how appropriate, that the money you grovel for is your very own. A victim of your own greed, wallowing in the muck of avarice.

Even though this is a PR move by WWE, they still have my utmost respect for doing this when they didn't even have to. Remember, they contacted every former employee offering them this opportunity. That's a hell of a lot of people.
I really hope it helps Jake.

So if WWE do anything good for the well being of past and current employees it's a PR move, yet if they overlook it, it's just them being heartless?
OK, Vince can do no right, gotcha.

He was out of WWF when I first started watching, although I saw his less-than-stellar comeback in 1995-96. I don't really care about the company's intent in Jake's case. I hope they lock the doors at the rehab clinic and don't let him out until he gets better, though in his case, who even knows what that would mean, much less how much it could help.

A quick thought:
Can they make you take rehab that isn't court ordered or something?

Am I the only one who thinks the drugs...may be the thing keeping him alive?
Jake Roberts is the "Anti-Man." The Drugs make him live longer!
