I know i don't post here incredibly often, but i do post at the TNA boards quite often and we are trying to get wrestling fans to take a stand and boycott the watching of impact this thursday and for as long as it takes for TNA to get the message. The creative team is in a continuous downward spiral, and they need to hear the opinion of the people, but we can't do it alone, tell all of your friends who watch wrestling or post at other boards to get people to boycott impact this Thursday the 16th. We may also be starting an e-mail campaign, but for right now we need to stop watching impact.
thanks chris

If we boycott iMPACT! one week, TNA will be no more the next. Do you want blood on your hands?

Good luck, I suppose. But I've never seen a "boycott" actually work...

Uh, you do know that unless you're part of a "Nielsen Household" that what you watch doesn't affect the ratings, right? I could watch a 24-hour marathon of Everybody Loves Raymond or stay up all night watching Skinemax and I wouldn't make even the slightest difference in any show's ratings.

I wasn't planning on watching it this week. Not because I'd be "boycotting," rather because I'll likely be out that night. Not like it'll make a difference, since I'm not a Nielsen household.

How can I tell if I am one or not, and if I'm not, how do I become one? The whole concept is strange to me; with the way that RD wrote of WCW's ratings in The Death of WCW, I assumed that someone / some organization was automatically keeping statistics on what every single television owner is watching at any given time.

Unless you're a Nielsen household, they'll never know the difference.
Boycott PPVs if you want to stick it to them. As of last night, I am until things change.

Yeah, but if people watch Skinemax all night, they would technically increase revenue for Vaseline and Kleenex.

Uh, you do know that unless you're part of a "Nielsen Household" that what you watch doesn't affect the ratings, right? yep. won't make a difference at all. the only thing you can do is not order the pay-per-views, i suppose. save yourself 30 bucks or whatever the hell it costs.
