"Nuts to you kid. I'm watching Impact on Thursday! Now if you excuse me, I have to go help Nordberg find the real killers."

As I'm not in a Nielsen home, me watching doesn't matter one way or the other, but as for PPV's last night's was the last TNA PPV I'm ordering for quite a while.

Uh, you do know that unless you're part of a "Nielsen Household" that what you watch doesn't affect the ratings, right? I could watch a 24-hour marathon of Everybody Loves Raymond or stay up all night watching Skinemax and I wouldn't make even the slightest difference in any show's ratings. "Neilsen Household"? How can I tell if I am one or not, and if I'm not, how do I become one? The whole concept is strange to me; with the way that RD wrote of WCW's ratings in The Death of WCW, I assumed that someone / some organization was automatically keeping statistics on what every single television owner is watching at any given time. There are only approximately 50,000 Nielsen households in America, which means that 50,000 houses control the television ratings out of nearly 300 million people. Theoretically, only about 300 people (that count) watch Impact and 1,000 people watch RAW from week to week out of those 50,000. This sounds like a small test audience, but it's still an accurate test sample. There have been shows that have drawn a 0.0 before, which means that nobody out of the Neilsen households watched it (or maybe a handful of people), but that doesn't mean that the show still wasn't watched by thousands of people nationwide. If you were a Nielsen household, you'd know it, because you'd have a special Nielsen box on your TV, or have to keep a television viewing diary and mail it in. You'd also have to do phone interviews every once and a while with the Nielsen group. Like many said before, if you wanna hit TNA where it hurts, just don't order PPV. If 15,000 loyal TNA PPV buyers banded together, they'd cripple a buyrate by well over 50 percent. Despite my sig, I don't wanna see them go out of business, but they need to get the point that what they're doing sucks.

What, exactly, is it about TNA that you are boycotting? Samoa Joe holding ALL of the federation's titles? PAC MAN???

I appreciate the effort, but the fact of the matter is, not watching the show isn't going to solve things. If the ratings drop, more than likely, TNA will just start adapting the WWE model and we get more comedy sketches and squash matches. I really don't think not watching the show is going to get TNA anywhere but cancelled. And every time the ratings drop, it gives more fuel to the ones who are waiting for TNA to die.
I'm not happy about certain things, but I still enjoy watching TNA more than I do WWE. I'm pissed that it looks like Joe is going nowhere in the company, and the Pacman Jones stuff is way off base, but even the stupid stuff is surrounded by decent matches, which is something the WWE, especially Raw, doesn't have.

you'd think people who tolerate cena overcoming the odds and the dating game/wwe idol could tolerate angle beating joe and angle berating his family. or at least i would think.
