Why is this guy held in such high regard (As far as the indys go)
I really have no clue. I've seen clips of him here and there but it was never anything special (Although I haven't seen a lot)

Necro is one of the funnest guys out there, who can beat down with some bloody garbage wrestling, only to have a decent match at a later date with some good mat skills. He's well rounded but you wouldn't guess that from watching his hardcore stuff.
And as previously said, cause he's one crazy mo-fo.

Not a fan of garbage wrestling, so it always killed me that a guy as obviously talented as he was resorting to that stuff. Truth be told, I was pretty happy when he finally left the Texas indy scene a few years back.

for me, i think he brings a sense of reality back to wrestling. Hes not a muscular huge guy, but ill be damned if i wouldnt stay far from him if a bar fight broke out.

I just always found the name Necro Butcher to be silly. He kills the killed? As previously stated though, he is indeed a crazy mo'fo.

I can't stand the guy. His matches are so boring to me. His match with Super Dragon(who I also despise) was easily the low point of BOLA 2006. I would've been sleeping if the rat bastard hadn't taken my chair from me. I just don't find his style entertaining. Garbage matches have been done and been done much better. IMO. To be fair though, I met the guy after the show and he seemed very cool. Just not into the wrestler.

He's great. He's a hardcore wrestler who can go. I completely disagree with the previous poster, as I haven't really loved any match of BOLA except for Super Dragon/Necro. To back up the point that he can really wrestle, in a hardcore/falls count anywhere match, Necro performs both a hurricana from the top rope and an O'Connor roll. Tell me another hardcore guy that would do that.

Like I said in another thread he is one of (if not the most) over guy on every show he is on and almost always loses, who else can do that? What does being built have to do with being a wrestler? |

Necro has good basics, actually - trained by Black Bart - and can work, but the hardcore stuff works for him. He shows his actual class in the ring simply by being able to cross over into non-hardcore wrestling, something I don't think many other deathmatch types could do.

He's not a great technician or anything, but the man is a great brawler (and not just in hardcore/garbage/deathmatches). There's always a place for that in my book.
