Disclaimer: I actually like the idea of hiring Booker. He's very charismatic and a good wrestler. It's TNA's tendency to give significant time/money to relatively blah ex-WWE talent (VKM is probably the best example) that made me use the "desperation" remark. TNA have plenty of wrestlers who could become very over if given the opportunities that TNA tends to squander on overpriced "names" like Rikishi, Test, and (although he never actually wrestled) Pacman Jones.

Kaz wrestled a few matches in WWE, that must be why they're pushing him now. Is that a serious statement?

I'll certainly give you that; there's no argument there. But the way people go on and on and on about TNA hiring 'WWE guys' and not knowing what to do with them is a little unfair. Yes, I agree with you that a lot of times TNA seems to go for the shock value (coughRUSSOcough) effect by hiring guys newly gone from the WWE; but some signings are really good for the company -- Christian tops the list, along with Angle, Team 3D (who perhaps have overstayed their welcome now), Rhyno, Raven and possibly Booker T. But McMahon can also be accused of the same shock value goal, though more often than not, he at least was able to do something with the guys he brought over. (Not always; i.e. Vader, Lex Luger) As for not knowing what to do with these 'WWE imports', TNA can certainly be accused of dropping the ball with some of them; granted, there's not a whole lot you can do with guys like Rikishi or Test or Rhodes. But when they have done something good (i.e. Christian), it seems to be overlooked. I guess my point is that it's gotten really old and tiring to constantly hear how TNA is only signing 'WWE guys' for the shock value, and that TNA is always counted out before even getting a chance to do anything with these guys. Yet, no one doubts McMahon, despite his fumblings with guys like Vader, and his hair-brained characters for self-amusement, and his silly and pointless skits. I am not saying that I approve of every move TNA makes -- I'll be the first to say that the younger talent needs more air time, more main event time, and more time to work with (and go over) the veterans -- but I just think it's time to cut the company some slack and let's see what it can do amid all of this negative feedback. like i've said. TNA needs to stop worrying about WHO they are hiring. and they need to start worrying about their wrighting... they could hire GOD to a 10 year contract, and no one would watch if it wasn't compelling storylines. Excellent point.

and just to keep on subject... you think the joke is getting old? i think the fact that they keep hiring WWE guys to try and get themselves over is REALLY old. they need to make new stars, not use recycled stars Stars like Kazarian, Robert Roode and the Motor City Machine Guns? All getting their due at Genesis. And please understand that Masters is not yet being picked up. That was a joke. oh i understand that. but since when have TNA made MCMG look good? i mean, when was their last televised match? the last time they got the upper hand was because the whole x-division helped them... i'm definately glad to see Kaz and Roode getting pushed... thats a good thing. and lets all hope and pray that they don't hire masters, because if they did, something tells me Kaz would be masters lunch meat on impact.

*upon hearing that Chris Masters has been fired, Dutch Mantell leaps from his chair to get to a phone, he trips and the chair falls ontop of him trapping him there*
Dutch: HELPP!!!!! HELPPP!!!!
Jeremy Borash: Oh my God, Dutch! Let me get this off of you
Dutch: NO TIME! You must....sign Chris Masters! *passes out from the pain*

but when you hire a handfull of guys who are more than halfway into their careers, then you've only got a few years untill they are gone or just plain stale... and if you're not using those already established guys to build up new talent, then when those guys go stale and start retiring, then what are you left with? a weak looking group of guys who were beaten time and time again by the team 3d's of the world.

Fair enough. But the WWE hired a lot of WCW guys (before McMahon bought the company), yet no one is bashing Vince repeatedly over it. WWE didn't constantly push the WCW newcomers at the expense of his own guys, though. Most storylines in that period were pretty Austin and Rock centric. When you constantly push anyone from another fed like TNA does for a cheap pop, it smacks of desperation. And Austin was a former (fired, no less) WCW guy. As was Mick Foley, Ron Simmons, LOD, Dustin Rhodes, Sid, Brian Pillman, etc during the Attitude era. All of whom were pushed pretty heavily. More recently you have Rey Mysterio, Booker T, Finlay, Jamie Noble, Chuck Palumbo, Torrie Wilson, Jimmy Wang Yang, Chavo Guerrero, Gregory Helms, etc. They all came from WCW and many have been pushed pretty heavily. That doesn't even take into account those that spent time in ECW. Hell, Trevor Murdoch, Jeff Hardy, Brian Kendrick, Paul London, Mickie James, Umaga, Jimmy Wang Yang, Monty Brown, and CM Punk all had stints in TNA before joining (or rejoining) the WWE. The whole argument is silly. As long as there is more than one company, there will be talent swaps. If the company see value in them, they will be pushed how the company sees fit. End of story.

You missed an unfunny joke. Also you apparently missed that Chris Masters was released by the WWE, creating the basis for said unfunny joke. I calls em as I sees em, Decker!
