But you also work more dates, too. But it's also much more exposure, even if you worked 3 years in the E and hated every second of it... You'd make a good amount of cash and what you could charge on the indies would go up by a large amount. What exposure? The guys who end up jobbing to Shelton Benjamin & Miz/Morrison? Plus, it is possible to make as much money in the indy scene as you can in the WWE.

*cough* Young & Team Canada *cough* Wasn't Young booked as the goofy face in that group? I don't remember him getting total face-heat in any of the Team Canada feuds before his "jittery paranoia" gimmick started. He was a heel early on, and then went into slightly face after he got cheered for big shots he used to take around the end of Team Canada.

Well on the bright side you make more money to be miserable in the WWE. I'm reminded of Punk's comments about what he'd do if misused by WWE. And coincidentally, Shannon Moore.

Hell look at a guy like Matt Sydal who signed with the E.

They need a development area for the writers to be taught how to be creative.

Yeah, it's possible (I think that's why Styles said he didn't sign), but you have to work an assload more most of the time to make up for it. Wasn't Young booked as the goofy face in that group? He was a heel early on, and then went into slightly face after he got cheered for big shots he used to take around the end of Team Canada. That's what I mean. They started booking Young as the sole face of the group in 2005, but Homicide was starting to get massive face heat while saying "I hate white people". Young is over, but Homicide could probably get more heat (and believability), but maybe that's just me (I honestly can't get behind Young anymore).

You know......TNArick might be the dumbest poster I've ever encountered....that covers a lot of ground too. But he hasn't flamed anyone....yet Don't do this again.

Styles didn't sign because he got the 500 a week development offer and his wife was in college and he didn't wanna move to Louisville. If they had offered him a full fledged WWE deal he'd have taken it.

Styles has stated on some podcasts I listened to that he never would have went to WWE because their lack of getting anyone over in the last 7 years.

Course, Funaki was around since the Attitude era, and Roode is a new guy. Plus, how is Homicide more believable? Young's been around longer than Cide, and had more of a big connection with the crowd.

Because I can assure you that he's plainly lying and sour graping. Plus, What the hell is up with those guys talking about how miserable it is on the "other side"? They're like "Hey we're happy here. So you too should stay" Notwithstanding the fact that the guys who say this line are the guys who pushed down talents who feel miserable.

I also don't buy when wrestlers say "oh I'd never sign with the WWE" most of them say it with the idea that the WWE will never have interest in signing them so it makes them look cool to their indy fans. Corino said that for years and magically he's now trying to get a job there...point is he only said it because he knew they weren't interested.
You get a contract put in front of you, that tune usually changes.
