John Cena is not a big superstar.. AJ Styles is more of a household name then John Cena. The only people who cheer for Cena are the toddlers that parents bring to the shows.
John Cena buys pops for Conway.

John Cena has done nothing to rise the ratings. When Russo was booking Austin the ratings went up. When Russo made Booker T a fun WCW character the ratings went up and the crowds were hot. David Arquette winning the title was entertaining and his character was great, John Cena is bland, and so is Randy Orton. And no Ken Kennedy, Eugene, Sanitino are not the next Rocks.

Styles has stated on some podcasts I listened to that he never would have went to WWE because their lack of getting anyone over in the last 7 years. How many lies are you going to tell? I am starting to think that this is a fake TNARick or you are just THAT delusional. What he said was on NUMEROUS occasions was (paraphrased) "When I found out that I had an offer from WWE, it was a dream come true, until I saw the type of deal they wanted to sign me to. At that point in my life, with my wife in College and where we are now, $500 wasn't cutting it. At that point in my life, it wasn't smart for me to move to Louisville and give up the money I am making now." Russo was the person who said on numerous podcasts WWE hasn't gotten anybody new over in 7 years, which is of course wrong. Kurt Angle, John Cena, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Batista, Edge, MVP, Lashley, RVD, Londrick, and many others.

More people have heard about Funaki than Robert Roode. Yeah, it's possible (I think that's why Styles said he didn't sign), but you have to work an assload more most of the time to make up for it. That's what I mean. They started booking Young as the sole face of the group in 2005, but Homicide was starting to get massive face heat while saying "I hate white people". Young is over, but Homicide could probably get more heat (and believability), but maybe that's just me (I honestly can't get behind Young anymore). Course, Funaki was around since the Attitude era, and Roode is a new guy. Plus, how is Homicide more believable? Young's been around longer than Cide, and had more of a big connection with the crowd. Funaki shows up on television like....once every 3-4 months. But fine - how 'bout the Highlanders? I doubt that if you sit 100 random wrestling fans down that you'll hear more "Oh yeah, I know that Robert Roode guy" than "Oh yeah, the Scottish guys". It's not a knock on TNA, it's just simply "the WWE is bigger, therefore the lowest guys get good exposure". Which is more believable - a badass 'Gringo killer', or that guy that got the crowd to do a stupid dance and is afraid of his own shadow? I'd rather have the guy who people just WANTED to see kick someone's ass, than the guy who's major pay-off in a feud was tarring and feathering. While Young gets the crowd behind him and has been there longer, I just don't see how he'd fit anywhere near a main-event. He comes off as a cheap mid-card comedy act to me. It'd be like putting Doink in the main-event. Everyone loves him, but no.

Isn't there something ironic about a bunch of guys who got fired talking about how the WWE sucks and the guys are miserable? What's Angle stand up and say that they are bad company for firing him because he was a drug addict? Actually, Tomko quit because he thought WWE wasn't using him well and switched his team of Goldust to Snitsky, and then he went to Japan. Yeah, and Booker T. never signed a new contract.

Guys, if you haven't figured his gimmick out yet, just do yourselves a favor and stop responding to him. You know what I'm talking about.
Anyway, that's interesting to hear. I'm not going to comment on backstage life in either company, since I have no idea what either are like, but I guess it kind of says something when Booker gives a speech about it, since he's so new to TNA. I could easily see both locker rooms being a bit "meh", myself.
That said, I hope that when 'Cide heard about what they said about him, the Kill Bill siren started screeching in the background.

CM Punk, Randy Orton, Batista, Edge, MVP, Lashley, RVD, Londrick, and many others were not anywhere close to being over. Kurt and Cena couldn't keep ratings up. WWE has been down in the 3's until they made a show highlighting the best of Russo's era that brought them back up to the 4's. WWE would get higher ratings if they just replayed the Attitude Era every week.

Once again here's what he really said: (paraphrased) "When I found out that I had an offer from WWE, it was a dream come true, until I saw the type of deal they wanted to sign me to. It was a local podcast that only had about 300 viewers. It was around 2002/2003/2004ish and the site was called TNAXTREMEPODCASTS but they shut down doors after Trytan refused to appear on the show.

I like Booker but at the same time I've come to realize he has some responsibility issues. He blames the WWE for his name being on the Signature list and him being suspended.....how's that make any sense? He was the fool that ordered the shit and he's talking conspiracy and how they didn't protect him..really Book you messed up just admit it and move on.. Also I thought for the majority of his stay Book was well treated in the E. The only time I thought he got really hosed was his Mania fued with Triple H. Outside of that he was generally always booked at the top of the card and presented as one of their top stars. If any guy there has any reason to talk shit on the WWE it isn't him...hell Angle was pushed that way too and only got fired because he refused to go to rehab... These guys act like they were held back like crazy...when it really isn't the case.
