They're in the "minority" no pun intended. I dont think Mayweather bumped like crazy. Show was disgustingly soft working the match. The match in of itself was slow and plodding. I really would like to see a wrestler go over a non wrestling while.. you know "wrestling" wouldnt have seen any problem with Show getting back up from the punch, chokeslaming Mayweather and ending it then and there. But as it turns out Shows now stuck as the "largest AThlete in the World" who just got punked out by a guy 1/3 his size. Bears really well for him in the future. Mayweather only won after multiple interferences, an attempt to run away, chair shots, and brass knuckles. It's not like they made Show look weak. PBF had about as dirty of a win as you can get.

Co/sign Big show just got "Bam Bamed" And yet Bam Bam himself said that was the highlight of his career. I thought they did a great job with it. We all knew that Show was gonna lose, but they didn't job him out in some unrealistic fashion, so I'm happy. I think this match is a testament to Big Show's skill as a wrestler. Also, I loved the chokeslam on Mayweather's stooge.

Considering Mayweather bumped like crazy, acted like a heel, didn't try to take all the heat, promoted the show and wrestling like crazy and caused zero problems backstage I don't understand why people hate the guy. Some guys in the WrestleMania thread basically hinted that they didn't like him because of his skin color, which is scary. I would like to think those people are in the minority but who knows. Those people may be in the minority, but unfortunately it is probably not as small of one as we would like to believe. That was illustrated pretty clearly when a thread about Stuart Scott popped up here recently and some of the posters called him an idiot. I could be wrong, but when someone calls a Black broadcast journalist who has risen to the top of his profession thanks to his charisma and degrees from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill an idiot, it is pretty fair to think the opinion was based mostly on the Black part. As for the match itself, it was very entertaining. Mayweather and Big Show both did their jobs, and I definitely would not mind seeing more of Mayweather in a wrestling ring. Oh please, race has NOTHING to do with it. I can't stand Stuart Scott either but love J.A. Adande and Michael Wilbon (except when he talks about MMA.) Stuart Scott is a cliche'd idiot. As for Mayweather-Show...horrible buildup....GREAT execution!

They honestly had a really good match. Big Show lost to a guy 1.3 his size but still didn't look weak.

Good luck on that one, buddy. That only applies to black broadcasters right? So when we mock Carlos Mencia it's not because he's untalented, it's because he's mexican.

To hate a guy because he has a fake eye.
I can honestly say that's the first time I've heard that.

He sold pretty well for someone who was never in a wrestling ring before. I kinda like the fact that it took a kick to the balls, several chair shots, run ins, and a shot with brass knux to take Show down, although I knew that would happen when I saw the backstage bit with Floyd messing with his posse, and he had someone standing next to him with brass knux on a chain.

Your subject line indicates that before the event people were thinking this could be good but were unsure.
Pretty sure EVERYONE expected it to suck because of all the reports of Floyd's demeanor and the latest ones that HHH had to intervene and work the match out with both men.
Hell, not long before the event started there wre numerous threads and reports saying Floyd hadn't even shown up at WM yet...

He just got 20 million dollars from the WWE, I don't think he needs me to give him credit.
Wait.

I cringed at how soft Show was treating Mayweather while getting himself legit hit over and over.

It was no where near Akebono bad, but it wasn't really near LT good either. The match didn't exceed my expectations. It was about what I thought it was going to be. And I never thought it was going to be bad. I do just kinda feel bad for Big Show. He may be feeling fine after all of this, but he's one of my favorites so I was just hoping for something a little better for him upon his return.

I'm not going to give him a damn thing - VKM already gave him 20 Million Dollars, isn't that enough?

You know what Mayweather showed me last night? He's got some respect for the business itself. Yes, he won, but he made Big Show look damn near unstoppable. His entire offense consisted of one flurry of punches, a low blow, a bunch of chair shots, and the right hook (Which looked absolutely painful, BTW)... Mayweather looked like he was scared most of the match, sold Big Show's hits and, hell, even Mayweather's posse made the Big Show look menacing...
The one real reservation I had about this match was about how Mayweather would go over and it made Big Show still look great while keeping some of Mayweather's rep intact...

That match showed me why Mayweather is as hyped as he is and why he has all those millions. He's a great athlete, but an even better businessman. He could have easily given Vince the run around and said "no, I won't do this. No way in hell I'm doing that."
But he let Show step on him, smack him around, etc...and he sold it well. Plus, Show has little credibility to lose because it took Floyd throwing everything but the kitchen sink on him to win.
My only disappointment is that Floyd didn't use an anvil with the ACME logo on it.

My only real disappointment is that, as someone had theorized in the "Mayweather not at WM" thread, he didn't pay off Cryme Tyme to stand around and sing the "MONEY MONEY, YEAH YEAH, MONEY MONEY, YEAH YEAH" over and over again during the match...

Actuall, Flyd did gain more respect for th business at Wrestlemania 24. There was a post show interview with Floyd and he said that he thought that he would be able to do the wrestling stuff easily, but he said that he had no Idea how much work gets put into what you see on TV. He said that after the show he saw Undertaker walking around with an ice pack on his back and Shawn Michaels walking around with an ice pak on his knees. He said that "this stuff is crazy!".
Just like Mike Tyson said 10 years ago: "I just didn't know that the guys here were so crazy!".

LOL, you got to be smurfing kidding me. I don't like Stuart Scott because he has a fake eye, uses catchphrases from the early 90's, and he just does a subpar job at sports commentating. Some people will do anything to take out the race card, jesus christ. He doesn't have a fake eye. Got this from Wikipedia: "In 2002, Scott had been invited to join in the New York Jets pre-season training camp by head coach Herm Edwards. Scott was filming a story about football minicamps for ESPN. He was struck in the left eye by a football that was launched from a Jets football passing machine during receiver drills. He had to undergo corneal surgery that same evening and was out of work for a couple months. Now he wears thick glasses, appears to have a glass eye, and has the teleprompter moved closer. Stuart has two different colored eyes." Not to mention, disliking someone for having a fake eye is silly and immature.
