Considering Mayweather bumped like crazy, acted like a heel, didn't try to take all the heat, promoted the show and wrestling like crazy and caused zero problems backstage I don't understand why people hate the guy. Some guys in the WrestleMania thread basically hinted that they didn't like him because of his skin color, which is scary. I would like to think those people are in the minority but who knows. Those people may be in the minority, but unfortunately it is probably not as small of one as we would like to believe. That was illustrated pretty clearly when a thread about Stuart Scott popped up here recently and some of the posters called him an idiot. I could be wrong, but when someone calls a Black broadcast journalist who has risen to the top of his profession thanks to his charisma and degrees from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill an idiot, it is pretty fair to think the opinion was based mostly on the Black part. As for the match itself, it was very entertaining. Mayweather and Big Show both did their jobs, and I definitely would not mind seeing more of Mayweather in a wrestling ring. I dislike Stuart Scott because he makes the whole damn show about himself, about his catchphrases. I also dislike Jay Mariotti, Skip Bayless, and any of the other stupid white broadcasters who do the same thing. Thanks for labelling me a racist, though.

They're in the "minority" no pun intended. I dont think Mayweather bumped like crazy. Show was disgustingly soft working the match. The match in of itself was slow and plodding. I really would like to see a wrestler go over a non wrestling while.. you know "wrestling" wouldnt have seen any problem with Show getting back up from the punch, chokeslaming Mayweather and ending it then and there. But as it turns out Shows now stuck as the "largest AThlete in the World" who just got punked out by a guy 1/3 his size. Bears really well for him in the future. Mayweather only won after multiple interferences, an attempt to run away, chair shots, and brass knuckles. It's not like they made Show look weak. PBF had about as dirty of a win as you can get. There was a reason they added the "Anything Goes; win by pinfall, submission or KO". Getting KO'ed by a boxing champion at any size doesn't make you look weak. Especially when it took all that other crap to beat Show. It was better than it had any right to be. The only thing that bugged me was all the "Rocky movie" bits they threw in the match. (And the whole No Limit Soldier posse in Mayweather's corner. It's fine if they wanted to put Big Show over as a guy fighting adversity and heavy odds.) They did the cornerman chair bit and the chokehold/sleeper from Rocky III. (Couldn't they, at the very least, use a wooden chair?) The manager reeked of G.W. Duke from Rocky V. I half-expected him to scream "Touch me and I'll sue!" I still think Mayweather's a prick, but that's what he wants you to think. He did a good job, Show did a good job putting him over without looking like a total loser.

I'll give him credit, he did a pretty good job. Match was pretty entertaining.
EDIT: I don't really get why people who didn't like the match/don't like him are coming in here to post. Kinda pointless, isn't it?

It was pinfall, submission or knockout, right? So why not have Mayweather pin him? Then he only would have been down for three seconds instead of ten

Better than Pac Man Jones. Better than NASCAR guys. Better than Toby Keith Better than Chicago White Sox players ...is my point clear?
This was a fun match and with the crowd I was watching the show with, there was alot of excitement for every bump Mayweather took.

The match was better than I thought it would be. Still, it wasn't a match of the night candidate. But they did what was asked of them, and I imagine that Paul Wight took home quite a tidy sum for his jobbing.
And it sounds like after the match Mayweather made the statement that wrestling is a lot harder than it looks. Well ... of course it is.

No one said anything about it being a 'lovefest', I asked if you didn't like it, why bother commenting in a thread where people did? Why not go to one of the others ones where people are bashing it and go at it. That was mostly for the people who have been complaining about the match long before it started and those who are still bitching about it long after it ended.

Well it was better than several "proper" matches on the card. I liked the finish as well.

It was better than I was expecting, even though Mayweather's and his posse's no-selling at the end annoyed me a little, but I guess they aint trained for that.

he wasn't book as unstoppable, mayweather was booked like how he should been, relying on his cronies and lots of cheating.
IMO all it did for Show was make show look more legit and I applaud Mayweather's effort. A really fun, basic match.

It did what it was intended to do, and did it effectively.
Mayweather was alot better in the ring than I expected.

big show is 7 feet tall and 5000 pounds and floy mayweather isnt even a wrestler but he won? this it makes no sense. i dont think he can pin ric flair so if they wrestle again in match that is hell in a cell i take big show to chokeslam him off the hood of the cage.

This is picture perfect booking of bringing in a non-wrestler celebrity, having him go over one of your guys, and making the wrestler and the athlete look good.
