Bring in Paul Heyman and fire Russo/Mantel. Force Jarrett off the booking committee permanently.

Just me but, here is what I would do.
I would start with a talent hiring freeze (on screen people, male wrestlers, managers, interviewers). I would still hire women wrestlers since the division is still in its infancy.
Use the money saved in the hiring freeze to bring in people to improve the production values.
Next set a limit on how much certain people are on TV. Guys like Angle and Sting have been overexposed and no longer have an important feel to them or their matches. Limit them to one or two segments per show and maybe only one or two matches a month.
With the time saved by not having them on as much, I'd work on finding a balance in the other storylines. Things like the Roode/Young feud went on far too long while things like the X Division traitor could have been stretched out more.
Simpler storylines with more of a focus on wrestling.
Get a midcard title and rebuild the Tag and X Division titles back to the point they could headline a PPV without being in gimmick matches.

Stop hiring former WWE midcarders or former main eventers from 10 years ago If WWE drops the ball on Christian, Tomko and Matt Morgan and TNA recognizes their talent then good for TNA. Maybe so, but to the eyes of the general audience, they'll still be perceived as WWE's rejects/leftovers, and TNA is still minor league anyway, so it's like being cut from the NHL and making it "big" in IHL... TNA was better when they were pushing their talent instead of relying on superstars who stopped being relevant 5 (or 10) years ago. Sure, Angle v Sting sells more, but in the long run it's pointless, as both men have peaked already, and if the new guys are stuck in the midcard because the old farts have to main event just to get a +0.1 in ratings, who'll pick up when Angle & co are done?

Wouldn't it be frustrating to work for a company that drives you crazy? If their product disgusts and appalls you, spending your life surrounded by it would not be fun. For me it would be cool, since I like the company, but I think even I need to be able to change the channel when VKM, Black Reign or the Dudleys walk out. When it comes to earning a living, I can easily check my frustrations at the door. If Vince Russo and Jeff Jarrett walked up to me and said, "Ok, we're going to film a 'Oiled-Up Bubba Ray' on a pole match with Kurt Angle defending the World Title against Awesome Kong, and there's going to be approximately 12 ref bumps (maybe more, we'll tell you 5 minutes before air time) with Kong winning the match, then Earl Hebner running into the ring to reverse the decision (we'll figure out why later), and Kurt retains..." I'd happily say, "Just tell me where to point the camera, Boss."

Can't tell if this is a serious thread or not.. but granted this place tends to lean towards serious threads getting hijacked.
Very simply and it's been stated so many times.. Cornette and Raven get the book. Cornette and Raven the announce table.

Maybe so, but to the eyes of the general audience, they'll still be perceived as WWE's rejects/leftovers, and TNA is still minor league anyway, so it's like being cut from the NHL and making it "big" in IHL...? IF that's true, the general audience is wrong. Christian is a main event talent, and anyone who can't recognize that is wrong, be they WWE creative or 'general audience.' To me, WWE is the minor leagues because they can't match the talent of TNA or ROH. Or maybe they can, but they don't need to because they've got a core audience who will watch whatever they put on the screen, so HHH can win forever without a drop in ratings. Sure, Angle v Sting sells more, but in the long run it's pointless, as both men have peaked already, and if the new guys are stuck in the midcard because the old farts have to main event just to get a +0.1 in ratings, who'll pick up when Angle & co are done? Angle vs. Sting was cool because it was a sort of 'dream match' that nobody ever expected to see when they were world champions of rival companies during the Monday night wars. That said, once you've done the 'dream match' the next logical step would be for Sting to feud with James Storm and Angle to feud with Kaz so that there ARE guys who can credibly pick up when Angle & co are done.

Okay...I do have a few things that I would do, using current TNA storylines.
Abyss's Secret--This thing has been drawn out to the point that it is usually riddiculed on the board. Still...it needs an ending. So here is what I would do.
Mitchell grows tired of Abyss not confessing for what he did and just as he announced the first secret (Mother shooting father) he decides to announce the other. This draws Abyss to come out, but he is jumped from behind by Mesias, Rellik, and Black Reign. Mitchell orders the three monsters to constrain Abyss and they do, handcuffing Abyss to the ring post.
Kaz rushes down and attacks Black Reign, trying to help Abyss (among continuing his own feud) but rushes into a lion's den and gets mauled by the three monsters, getting hit with Mesias's finisher to knock him out of the equation.
Mitchell calms things down in order to reveal the secret. Abyss served a long time in prison because his mother shot his father and he took the blame. All that time in prison, as Abyss was tortured by prisioners and guards, the man, Chris, was left to think about what got him there. See, there is a secret inside of the secret being told.
His mother shot his father because he was cheating on her.
And all that time in prison, all the rage boiling up, Abyss, Chris came to a conclusion. It was the other woman's fault. If she hadn't been with his father, this whole thing wouldn't have happened. So, Chris got out of jail and hunted the woman down. He hurt her. Bad. Looking over the battered woman, something clicked inside of him. He realized what he had done and he ran. As he fled, emotions flying, he would first meet Mitchell. All the fear, rage, and confusion made it easy for Mitchell to mold Abyss into what he wanted.
So there it is. The second secret is that Abyss severely injured a woman. I'd hate to go with killing her (despite the fact that it would be hearsay and Abyss couldn't be prosecuted) but a serious injury that would cause him to realize how wrong he was and would lead to him meeting and joining Mitchell. I also envision Rellik and Black Reign mocking and heckling Abyss during this.
However, one more twist, just for Russo's sake...
The woman was Mesias's sister. BAM!
Anyway, after this was revealed, I'd have Abyss "snap" and break the handcuffs, tossing Reign and Rellik aside he and Mesias would battle to the back. A fight connected more than we could ever expect...
Well...geez...that was more writing than I expected. However, I have a few other ideas that I might post later (including an idea I had for a Christian/Joe feud). If you actually read all of that...thanks.

I'm just going to say "get D'Amore the book again and give Joe the title" like I always do with this question... ...but the word is "improve". If a company is either profitable or about to work its way out of debt, it doesn't need saving. IF that's true, the general audience is wrong. Christian is a main event talent, and anyone who can't recognize that is wrong, be they WWE creative or 'general audience.' Hey, I think that Finlay is a "main-event talent" too. However, the general public and the WWE front offices disagree with me, and I really don't care in the end as long as I get to see him. Since it's all performance art, the most "deserving" is whoever a given promotion wants to be at the top of the card. I don't subscribe to the "dues" argument.

Hey, I think that Finlay is a "main-event talent" too. Really? Finlay? Ok, well I've had people people think I'm nuts for considering AJ the best in the world, but I guess it's all subjective. I've never enjoyed a Finlay match, and there's folks who think AJ is just good for 'spotfest' matches. Opinions can't be right or wrong, just rare or common. That said, if the common opinion is that Christian isn't worthy of being in main events, I cannot understand it at all. I guess I'm not the 'typical' wrestling fan.

perhaps make every other backstage segment not be about angle.
Let AJ be awesome and not look like a complete tool.
Turn the alcohol gimmicks down from 10 to about a 2, not everyone has to be a drunk.
get rid of rellik, not that he's a bad wrestler, but becuase you not only dropped the ball on him, but kicked the ball down the street into a manhole never to be recovered.

AJ is the best thing in TNA. Even when they book him like a loser, he still looks better than anyone in the ring. Plus his tag team with Tomko rules.
WWE is a minor league? Really? There are still people that think TNA is WWE's 4th brand.

First and foremost, I think what TNA needs to do is re-evaluate themselves and what they are doing.
1) The reason they got the 2nd hour so that more guys will get more TV air time, yet when the second hour arrived, the show is now more focused on ex-WWE guys (Angle) and the home-grown talent are stuck in either gauntlets, comedy angles/matches, jobbed to main-event guys, and matches that don't even last for five minutes. The X -division vs. Team 3D didn;t fool me as this was merely an excuse.
2) Stop hiring guys, hell the WWE hires guys like every quarter or so.
3) Don't be afraid to release talents you hired if you're not going to use them anyway.
4) Get Dixie off the crowd

Actually pretty cool but i'll add another twist for russo sake. Judas's sister was a agent from the peoples rebpublic of china posing as a KGB spy when she met Kaz, whose objective was to elimate the the boss (awesome kong) but really awesome Kong was working for the Philosophers (Angles) and Kurt ordered Kaz to Deafet her. Then a few years Later Kaz was cloned into the MCMG but there was a 3rd clone who turned black (jay lethal) who have to deafet Team D...woah excuse me Team 3D before they destroy the now patriots(angles) which they dont want to do because they realize that the patriots are dead.... Snake:What the helll.....

1 - Get back to being a true alternative to the WWE instead of WWE-lite. WCW was best when they weren't the same product as the WWF was. When WCW tried to emulate was WWF was doing, WCW 2000 was born. This is not a good thing.
2 - Cut back on hiring the ex-WWE/WCW guys unless they're BIG names. Getting Booker? Great decision. Getting Black Reign and Rellik? Not so much.
3 - Pacman Jones was a huge mistake. Never do anything like that again.
4 - Fire Dutch Mantel. Get Scott D'Amore back on the creative team and along with being a writer, have him act as a filter for some of Russo's wackier ideas. Russo IS a good writer when given limits and I think D'Amore can keep him in check.
5 - Make AJ Styles a serious character again. And turn Eric Young into something besides "TNA's Eugene."
6 - Get the hell out of the Impact Zone for TV tapings. Bring Impact on the road and get the product's name out there with affordable prices.
7 - Make Samoa Joe TNA World Champion and give him a reign that firmly establishes him as one of the best not only in TNA, but in pro wrestling as a whole.
8 - Get a better announce team than Tenay and West.
That's all I got.

WWE is a minor league? Really? There are still people that think TNA is WWE's 4th brand. Those people are wrong. Yeah but they are people that don't watch wrestling(ESPN). I remember when PTI was covering the Pacman deal and they said this. Wasn't the whole reason TNA signed Pacman was to get the mainstream press to know them? And this happened after Pacman first appeared. The only two major things TNA can do is cut down the ppvs and have the announcer stop taking over promos and interviews.
