TNA is my favourite wrestling promotion. Althought I hate to admit it the product has went way way way downhill in the last year. Instead of being different its turning into a second rate WWE with the Angles being the mcmahons.
I know not everybody likes TNA and I'll probably get a few sarcastic posts, I was just wondering what you people thought would help turn the promotion round.
If you were in control of the book at TNA what would you do? is there any other things you would do to improve the product?
PS: I'm not dixie carter

save_us.tna?
I would book it as a true alternative, or rather, how TNA was earlier. Use the big names to draw in the casual fans, but use the young and new guys as the basis and future of the promotion.

I don't think it needs saving.

In my opinion, go back to focusing on what they used to. Young talent, showing the viewer something they wouldn't see on WWE programming. Focus on the wrestling action. It's good to show "personalities", but damn it, don't let that take over completely, to where you lose site of the wrestling.
It's obvious at this point, they have their audience. The 1.1 is as much written in stone as any rating can be, and no ammount of "oh, look who we signed, woo!" is going to get the rating to rise for more than a week. No gimmick match does that, no "megaswerve" does that, so why not just let the guys go out there and do their thing, instead of worrying about how gimmicky everything can look?
Also, just for grins, I think having everyone in the back line up and kick Dutch and Russo in the nuts would probably help things. Hell, put THAT on PPV, I'd buy it.

get rid of Russo. bring in a better booker. book TNA as a true alternative to WWE. return to a more basic, old school style, but with better wrestling - true faces and heels, better psychology, tell a story in and out of the ring that grabs people's interest, strong build up to feuds and ppvs blow offs, less stupid gimmick matches

Also, try to get Shane Douglas back as a heel color man.

The thing about Russo, and I guess it's like a double edge sword.
When it comes to characters, Russo is king, in my opinion. He's so good at bringing out people's personalities, it's ridiculous. But, he ends up focusing too much on the characters instead of making the show a wrestling show.
I think the perfect booker would be an equal mix of Jim Cornette, Paul Heyman and Vince Russo. Russo for creating characters, Heyman for creating conflict, and Cornette for his old school ways.

Do you realize it's 2008 and Samoa Joe still hasn't one the TNA title? They've jobbed him into oblivion and just like Goldberg, nobody cares. TNA is a second-rate WWE.

I wuld like ot see the world title and x-division title only defended at pay per views. Add a tv titel and maybe a womens title if the division keeps growing.

If you mean just titles in general, he's a Tag champ and a multiple time X-division champ, and I'm sure you meant World Title, which I agree with you(although its going to take a bit of work to rebuild him back to where he was in 06/early 07)

I don't think it needs saving. I look forward to laughing at TNA much as I laughed at WCW 2001.

TNA has used up their second chances repeatedly.
I used to defend them mercilessly but no longer.
They screwed up with Samoa Joe. I can't forgive them.

No they don't need Ron Killings.
They need to re-evaluate why they exist, fire the deadweight and start anew.
