Some of the divas who the IWC deem as useless- why are they kept around when WWE can easily hire cute shimmer or other indy talent? I think that's already been detailed. Hiring models is easier because they often know nothing about wrestling, they can be cultivated the way WWE wants. They can all look perfect and do playboy or whatever else WWE requires of them. They can also learn wrestling the WWE way. They won't ask for much and okay with the fact that they're just jiggling pieces of meat. You can also herd them out like cattle when it's time to bring new models in. ? i agree i even said something to this effect a few pages back- so what is the point of putting them through FCW and wasting the man power to "train them" when they are just going to be standing around?- I think like i said some of the girls think they have job security thats why they are not committed to training

That's completely untrue. Molly said in her shoot it was Stephanie McMahon who was behind a lot of that along with the whole 'purity' gimmick once Stephanie got wind that Molly was legitimately still a virgin. If you watch the original 'fat ass' segment Trish is really not into saying those lines, so it doesn't sound like she came up with them. Trish was the one that came up with the first fat ass joke, but she didn't want to ask Molly herself so got Stephanie to do it. Thus, she started the whole thing. I think Stephanie is the one to blame for continuing it, but Trish started it. I'm sure Trish is a nice woman, and everyone says she is. But I wonder what it says about her that she looks at someone like Molly notices a physical imperfection and thinks "fat ass". And it wasn't like Molly was anything close to fat. Maybe she was a fitness model too long, I don't know. But when you make a big deal of out "female empowerment" like Trish did, and then mock a girl for not being a size 0, it seems a bit of a contradiction. That's the first I've heard of that, but in any case Molly said she didn't mind the first comment as she figured it was just going to be a cheap comment to antagonise her. In other words, it's not really true, but she's saying it to her to wind her up. But it was only when Jerry Lawler went on and on about it (and he's known for not going to production meetings), and it practically became an angle in itself that it became a problem to her and to most people.

Idk- WWE is going to slowly phase out all women w/ previous wrestling experience in their division once they figure out how to get their T&A robots working. They've been moving in that direction of an all-model utopia for a while now.

I usually question alot of backstage "news". Really I'd take Molly's word over anything I read. I seem to remember her also saying that King felt awful about saying those things but he was being told to, and he repeatedly apologised to her and got threatening emails about it.

Otherwise, you're ugly trash. Speaking of which, I'm tired of seeing hot indy chicks ruining their bodies with implants. Is that how weak and docile women are? Seriously? To feel less able to be something unless they have the aid of cartoon comedy boobs?

Did you know that at one time there was a wrestling in your part of the world named Skye? And that was was quite awesome? Idk, when someone like Cat Power feels she needs comedy action projectile boobs. ..there's a problem. Ah w/e anything WWE is a waste of breath/energy. Too bad they janked it up, tho. Now you gotta be a model or everyone shits all over your hard work.

I personally dont think Eve needed to get implants -but its becoming like a pre-requisite
the sad part is she had to endure HHH making some sort of reference to the fact that she had just gotten her breasts done

They've been moving in that direction of an all-model utopia for a while now. They tried that in 2004/5 when they got rid of every wrestler not named Trish, Lita or Victoria and hired a ton of DS girls. Needless to say, it didn't take. The percieved "need" to get implants is just that, percieved. Maria got the playboy push without them. Kelly and the Twins are doing fine without them. Katie Lea may not be doing too good right now, but they put her in title shots and she just didn't get over

Whatever, It's such a STRONG perception, that's my point. Indy women who looked MUCH better without feel compelled to get them to get a look.
It's unneeded perception.
But yeah, they'll try that debacle again when the figure it out. They want women in their image.

I would say they were draws. Certainly not to the point of an Austin, or a Rock. They were decent merch sellers, sold lots of dvds separately about them. Very few people are draws by themselves. During the hottest periods, Hogan had a Piper, and Austin had a McMahon. And, I wouldn't say they were sidekicks. Lita, by herself, was a pretty established star, as was Trish. The only time Trish was a sidekick was when she was with Christian, and when Christian was retired, Tomko was there as her bodyguard. Lita had a lot of injury issues, and was also a main part of the Hardys, kinda like how Matt and Jeff will always be somewhat linked too each other. They also had to capitalize on her hatred with Edge, and she was a pretty over heel. She had a lot of heat, which I feel women also have a hard time getting. They were pretty established stars, both of them, by themselves or with other people. Lita was the main event girl with Edge for a very long time, and usually was around the top of the card with the Hardys. So, maybe she had some help. Trish, on the other hand, was a big draw by herself. I'll join the "Trish was heavily overrated" group, and I co-sign Cenamark's analysis on her. Lita was good, better than Trish by a mile, but still at her best as sidekick/valet/manager/girlfriend. Quite frankly, after hearing people discussing whether Bret, Shawn or Taker could be considered draws, I find laughable even thinking about Trish as something remotely close to a draw. Isn't TNA kinda like "wrestling fans' wrestling"? So I'm not surprised some female wrestlers being booked competently can improve ratings and please a more "smart" fanbase. It's a wonderful picture, but I don't think you can really take a regional show as a proof... You don't pay to attend a local show featuring former Superstars or "never were" Superstars unless you're an avid fan. So, it's great some girls were interested in Samantha Swallows, but how could that affect it the Big League? The matter is: the vast vast majority of WWE's audience never cared about the "workrate" of the women who were in the ring. Them being billed as Divas, walking pieces of meat, over the last decade has just killed whatever different approach fans could have. Good wrestling can be, at most, a nice touch to the usual TnA show. But a draw worth investing time and effort? Nope

Wow, there's no way Lita was better than Trish, Lita was a botch machine. A poor worker, couldn't talk and really couldn't do anything. Not to mention she wasn't really attractive. Lita sucked, Trish sucked a little less, no need to mince hairs. Lita better than Trish. Wow. That kind put your whole post in perspective. Japan is a FAR more sexist place than the USA and they managed to get a rabid fanbase of school girls going for idol wrestlers. So what it's Japan? Japan is FAR more sexist a place and they did it. A lot of ppl need to pull their heads out of their asses and see women as people. I would say they were draws. Certainly not to the point of an Austin, or a Rock.
