Let's keep the talk of Nigel and his TNA career to the TNA boards now. If you want to talk about WWE missing out on him and the possible reasons why go ahead in here.

With Nigel officially gone I'd change the title of this thread to "Danielson NOT coming to WWE?"

First Samoa Joe, then Claudio Castagnoli, and now Nigel McGuinness and possibly Bryan Danielson?
WWE seems to have a poor track record when it comes to successfully signing indy darlings.

Guess all those people you mentioned caught a few episodes of RAW. I'm sorry, but it is true. If you were a hot up and coming wrestler, who had yet to be exposed to a nation wide (not to mention international) audience, would you trust the E not to ruin your budding career?

I don't see why everyone was thinking he'd end up being Nigel McGuiness in the WWE...you KNOW they'd change his name to something even worse than what TNA is giving him.

I'll discuss his TNA possibilities in the TNA forum, but I'll say this: if WWE ends up being the party that screwed this up, then they just missed out on getting themselves a possible long-term World Champion.
If Nigel simply didn't like the way negotiations were going, then it is what it is. But Nigel seriously is good enough to become a champion, and a great one.

It should be remembered being an indie guy, while lacking job security, grants a lot of freedom. Freedoms you have to trade for the perks of WWE. Whether or not the trade is worth it is up to the parties involved.

Hell, I'd say Bourne is in the failure group right now with his move to RAW and Ki is undecided since he is out with injury but, was looking good in FCW. If you want to get technical though, most of their top guys at the moment (barring Orton and Morrison) were all somewhat top Indy guys at one point.

He had knee surgery and I heard he had to have another so he's still on the sidelines and in FCW I'll give you Bourne and Punk. But then I'll take Kendrick, London, Noble, Cabana and a few others and say it's more likely than not that WWE won' work out for guys. As for Nigel. This is a huge screw-up by WWE. He could be a cornerstone of that company in 3-5 years easily. WWE use to be really good at signing indy stars when the iron was hot. Now it's laughable that they screwed up with Claudio, Nigel and potentially Danielson.

Bourne at least got over and a T-Shirt I don't think Scotty Goldman ever got a Profile on the website And he was the best treated out of that crop Jay Bradley and Shawn Spears were jobbed out to Super Crazy then fired at least Cabana got squashed by a former world champion and someone on the upside of a push

Plus he was getting a lot of praise for his work in FCW.

How do we know wwe screwed up? It's not like he would be a game changer. Some guys just don't feel like working so much

I mean, while it would of been cool to have him Danielson was the one I really want. Nigel has a few injuries in his past, and it's not like he'll be someone they will die without. Danielson isn't a MUST HAVE either, but he's certainly one they've likely been after for longer.

Not sure how true is it but I have read else where that the biceps tears might have been a issue with WWE and they decided not to sign him.

I think he is going to be their new midcard standard bearer. Which is a good spot. I'd love it if he cut his teeth for a year in Ecw
I really think dos caras, low ki, and danielson will be brought in when spots open on ecw/smackdown
