Well holy shit, this actually speaks volumes, doesn't it? I know Shane's a smart guy, but what kidn of offer could a company, any company, make to him that would beat the undoubtable perks he has now?

How long til a "but whats shane doing in the impact zone" appears? Sort of a self fulfilling post really  Anyway, that's crazy. I'd love to see him set up some genuine competition, he wanted to buy Pride before UFC did, right? Maybe set up an MMA fed. Realistically, it's probably economy/family concerns. Although, you'd think he'd be pretty set for life, so I dunno. Shane always seemed like a genuinely nice guy and his goodbye message seemed quite heartfelt. Hope he does well in whatever he intends to do from here |

Might nto be a bad idea either, given it's exploding in popularity and the man obviously has a passion for it. T's a risk, of course, and a major one, but even if it flops it's not like he couldn't get his job back in like five seconds. |

Shocking. Everything seems to be changing so quickly - first Linda takes her leave, then Shane; who next? I really hope Trips is getting prepared to take the main seat sooner rather than later.
Anyway, good luck to Shane 'O. He was always my favourite McMahon and he's an intelligent guy, so he should have a good understanding of what he wants to do. Why he wants to do it is another thing entirely, considering he could just about retire right now if he wanted to; I must assume it's something he's passionate about. Nice message, too.

Damn. McMahons are dropping from this company like flies, I guess, given how quick Linda and Shane leaving were to each other. So... Who's next? Trips, Stephanie, or Vince? I'll hold my wager until we can get confirmation as to whether or not Triple H is following advice from Arn Anderson these days. Maybe Shane's one of the few people that understands when they've made enough money and he's going to spend time with the kids?
I have an Uncle that did something similar, retired from a stupidly good job because "I made enough money for a couple lifetimes, so it's time I enjoyed the life I have left"
