I mean..it's not among my all time favorites but I appreciate it for what it was; a well acted, big budget , over dramatic soap opera.
for all the people who paid to see it few people still claim to like it.

The special effects were fantastic. As were (and still are) Kate Winslet's tits.
Other than that, it's pretty average IMO.

It didn't wow me, but it was far from the black hole of suck people claimed it was. A lot of it's unintentionally funny, especially as the ship's sinking.
Dicaprio went on to better things.

Only saw it once when it just came out on video, and I liked it then. Don't know if I'd care to sit through it again though.

I liked Kate Winslet's tits, that's about it.

Uh yea, she was kind of iconic in that film. I do agree that without the historical context it does seems to be very hyper-emotional and bombastic but I liked it all the same, especially because of the cast, which is fantastic.

One of the most unintentionally funny moments to this day HAS to be when that guy jumps off the back of the ship and hits his legs on a propeller and just continuously flips the rest of the way down until he belly flops into the water below.

I don't like the movie because I saw it in the theaters with my ex-girlfriend, so... there. 2 good things about it, though... {Spoiler} 1 - Kate's boobs 2- Leo dies.

It never fails to make me cry.
But really, Billy Zane is much better looking than Leo. Silly Rose.

You're certainly not the only one. I think it's a fantastic movie that is brilliantly acted. I'm not worried about it being inaccurate, I just think it's really good.

Also, it was just as said by Biafra, a big sprawling melodrama. Directed by a guy who wasn't known for that. It wasn't Cameron's best effort, and it really did a lot to damage Leo's credibility as a serious actor. I don't hate the movie, I don't dislike it, but I don't especially like it.

I remember when my parents came home from the movies after watching Titanic.
My mother was crying her eyes out. My father looked like he wanted to hit his head with a hammer.
After I watched it, I had my father's reaction.

I think it's a great film. The last hour always gets to me. I actually just watched it again last night with Rifftrax (which is great by the way) and even with them making fun of it, It still came off as a very powerful movie.

It's good, but not great. It's a very long movie, though, which isn't hard to put a lot of people off, particularly if it doesn't wow them.

Considering how much money it made, I think it is safe to assume that you weren't the only one that liked it. I actually don't mind Titanic. I watched it over the summer, and wasn't bored. I've seen it before, I'll probably see it again. It isn't a great movie, but in my opinion, it isn't a bad movie either.
*Insert obligatory Kate Winslet's tits comment here*
