Spidey's Gallery kind of sucks outside of Goblin and Doc Ock. On one hand you got interesting but one note guys like Venom, then you got scrubs like Rhino, Shocker, and Electro. God I can't wait till Gauntlet starts and these guys stop being scrubs.

God I can't wait till Gauntlet starts and these guys stop being scrubs. Spidey had some top notch characters for a while though. I mean, you could see the potential there. I will defend to the end Kraven's awesomeness as a not only a villain, but as a lasting, impactful character in the Spidey mythos. I also, as I have stated before, really dig the idea of how Spider-Man has all of these goofy bastards like Puma and Vermin and all those...and then there's Carnage. TONS of folks on here hate Carnage with a passion, but I like how super-serious and dark his character is (or was the last time I read a Carnage story YEARS ago). The fact that you have all these bumbling suited villains, and then the stone cold serial killer Carnage amongst them...he stands out. I wouldn't mind if they turned him more into a sort of Jack the Ripper type character....you know, how Eddie Brock used to turn the symbiote into tuxedos and such? Have Carnage do that, and turn him into the "Whitechapel Killer" for the new millenium. I know....I know....such thing as serial killers don't belong in Spidey books and Carnage is crap...yadda yadda yadda. You have your opinions and I have mine. I like the guy.

Whoa now the only real scrubs in Spidey's gallery are guys like Hydro Man,Big Wheel and The Enforcers
Shocker's just basically a merc And Rhino and Electro could be big time if it weren't for Rhino's stupidity and Electro's insecurity

Apocalpyse, at the beginning, looked like a badass, but you knew that he would be defeated. Rule of thumb: don't build up people so powerful that you won't be able to present their downfall without bitching from others when it comes to continuity errors.
Also, he's a royal pain in "Marvel vs. Street Fighter: Clash of the Superheroes".

If Carnage was that classy Jack the Ripper type dude, I wouldn't hate him, that would actually be cool. And yeah, Spidey did have some Top Notch villians. Mainly guys that I mentioned were actually pretty decent villians. But as time went along they just started getting treated as jokes more & more. Personally, I've all ways felt Shocker would fit with Iron Man better, the guy is basically the low rent Iron Man, made his original suit out of scraps from prison and made a highly effective Vibration based weapon despite the fact he's a high school dropout.

They might not all be A-List baddies, but a good portion of them are memorable and work well inside Spidey stories. Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Lizard, Kraven, Mysterio, Sandman, Venom, Hobgoblin, Rhino, Electro, Scorpion, and Vulture are all great villains in their own right.

They worked well years ago. Before the current run of AMZ alot of them were either in shit stories only or just total jokes. When was the last time Electro, Scorpion, Vulture, Lizard, Mysterio, Sandman, or Rhino had a good story?

I think that was a few years back, unfortunatley never got the chance to read it yet. While it may look like I hate Spidey's villians, I don't, I like them alot but due to certain things they need to be repaired badly. It's why I'm really looking forward to Gauntlet.

And, Venom's now Anti-Venom. I thought they should have made Eddie Brock the New Scorpion. That would have been interesting.

The reason they aren't in good stories is because of bad writing, not because the characters don't have any value.

When was the last solo Electro story anyway? He's more of a team up whore than Shocker is New Avengers. And we all know about that letdown. Here have a a moment of Electro being awesome then have him bitch out later on instead of giving you the awesome fight you were hoping for!At least Electro utilizes his powers well unlike Hydro Man.

So what does everyone think of Omega Reds recent death, I always liked him but he seems to generate a lot of 'meh' responces. www.mutanthigh.com/trees/summerstree.htmlSupposedly this is the "Complete" family tree of the Summers line.....I refuse to believe it because I thought that Mr. Sinister was somehow related to the whole mess and time travel was involved in some way. Back on topic.....I truly hate Maligna from the old Mighty Mutanimals book.....mostly for succeeding and actually destroying the entire team in the last issue. I loved the Mutanimals. Sinsiter is always lurking around in the Summers past, but apart from taking there dna I don't think he is related in any way to the summers. Unless you counted that odd alternative reality involving Gambit being a summers clone third brother, which would loosely make Sinsiter a non-biological uncle, lol

But indeed, meh. The only thing I feel about Omega Red in any capacity is disappointment that he wasn't in the Wolverine movie. That may have been pretty cool. (Although, would've been hard to make him believable on film, I'll admit.)

Outside of being a good character to use in a couple video games, I never did really care for Omega Red.

God I can't wait till Gauntlet starts and these guys stop being scrubs. Frankly I always though Green Goblin sucked, much preferred Hobgoblin. The problem with many of Spideys villains is they are all over-obsessed with Spider-man. What sort of motivation is it for a supervillain to get out of jail and decide I must destroy the guy who locked me up, even though before that point his goals were completely different. Having said that bar Hydro-man and many of the lower tier spidey villaisn I think they are all very well rounded characters. Special props to Shocker, Hobgoblin and Chameleon who I like a lot. However I won't have anything be said against the Master of Illusion Mysterio who is pure awesome, who else pulls of a fishbowl on his head so majestically.

That is the problem with them, they're to obsessed with beating Spider-Man which actually makes sense in a way.
If you rob a bank and Captain America shows up, he'll just beat the crap out of you and spout some justice stuff. If it's Spidey though he'll be beating the crap out of you and insultiing you, your mom *Unless you're Rhino*, your lifes work, your friends, and everything else connected to you. Though Mysterio is kinda immune to Spidey syndrome as I like to call it, he's never really came off as a scrub and was all ways taken a bit seriously, Same with Chameleon and Shocker depending on who's writing him. And yeah, while I like Norman I preferred Hobgoblin, who is a good example of a character who had a "Who is he" arc that lasted a good long while done well. All so recently Electro has shown up and he is being taken seriously, thank you Gauntlet.
Do wish Puma and Aloyosha Kraven would get used more, and Al as a partner for Spidey which I think is going to happen seeing how Spidey is going against Calypso and her daughter soon.
And when the hell did Omega Red die? Yeah he was meh but I liked his look and gimmicks.
