Scrapped by with a last minute equaliser. So at least my team had a better day than some.

Oh dear just imagine the balloon related puns in the papers tomorrow.
And I think today officially marked the day where Football fans realised they needed to start wrapping up warm going to games. It was freezing at the Emirates today.
But Arsenal sure made us sweat for the 3 points. Arf arf.

Awesome!
MOTD blurred the face of the guy who hit the balloon onto the pitch
Dunno why they bother, one of the papers will do it
There was 7 mins of injury time? And Man Utd weren't involved?

YouTube has the face of the kid who threw it on - he will be beaten in school next week.
Good win for Arsenal, but we played poorly in the second half - wouldn't have been surprised if Birmingham had gotten something from it.

Not happy with that at all. Were Blackburn the better team? Yeah, probably. Did any of their goals come from being better?Perhaps 1.
Their first goal came from badly defending a freek ick that shou;d've been given to Burnley. Chimbonda grabs Elliott round the waist and drags him off the ball. After Elliott's been pulled to the floor, 1 of his legs catches Chimbonda in the face. Who gets the free kick? Blackburn, when it should've been the other way.
2nd goal, Jensen gets shoves off the ball by Di Santo. 1 angle looks like its Jordan but reverse angles show Di Santo reaching out and pushing Jensen. It's completely ignored, and Blackburn score.
3rd goal came from catching us after pushing up, which probably wouldn't have happened if we hadn't been losing 2-1.
We were possibly the better team in the 2nd half but didn't do anything with it. Blackburn were better but their first 2 goals did not come from playnig better but from missed/wrong decisions. Had the goals come fairly I'd hold my hands up and say so. As it is, they didn't, so I am not happy.
On a positive, Eagles was superb. However, Fletcher was god-awful. Eagles should start against Wigan.

Eh, from where I saw it he did push him. Couple of angles definitely look like he reaches out and shoves Jensen. Either way, that doesn't change that the 1st goal came from a frree kick that was given the wrong way. Which would put the score at at least 2-2.
I'm not at all bothered about the derby bragging rights. It's the fact that it's 3 points lost when, though we weren't good, at least 1 and IMO 2, goals shouldn't have stood/occurred.

Seeding that draw is just wrong.
I assume they're two legged ties which makes it worse, they could have at least done a draw to see who'd get the second game at home.

just seen the second goal again, di santos doesnt touch jensen Well if he doesn't shove Jensen then he's shoved Jordan into Jensen, as his right arm goes out, and afterwards he briefly pauses as if he expects a free kick to be given. Also it's Santo, not Santos. And regardless the first Rovers goal came from a free kick that was given completely the wrong way, which would put the score at at least 2-2. The same happened at Spurs though, and Liverpool. At Liverpool Kuyt's offside for his goal making it 2-0. Admittedly we probably would still have lost, but it could have altered the game. At Spurs, Lennon's strike deflects in off Jordan who was tripped and caused to stumble moments earlier, and Fletcher's perfectly good goal which would have made it 1-1 is disallowed. Chelsea we were throughly beaten and it should have been by more than 3. Stoke we didn't take our chances and they did. Spurs and Liverpool's other goals, and Blackburn's 3rd, were all perfectly good/great goals. However key events each time were questionable decisions that went against us every time without fail. I'm not normally one to blame referees, but I have noticed a few odd things that have occured at crucial moments away this season.

Must say it sure was fun reading The Sun this morning and their reaction to beach ball gate (yes I'm calling it that).
The beach ball has more goals this season than Heskey! And even got in The Sun's team of the week.
Already stories about Utd fans getting ready to sneak beach balls into Anfield next week and making a song to the tune of 99 red balloons. To be fair Liverpool have accepted it gracefully, I'm not sure Sir Alex would of or even Wenger to be honest.
