Okay, TNA doesn't NEED the big super heavyweights but I'd love it personally. Hell, I'd love it in WWE too.
I miss guys like Vader & Bam Bam! Excellent wrestlers who were MONSTERS but had great matches with guys in the vein of Sting and Bret Hart which TNA is FULL OF (AJ, Daniels, etc.). I like my small flippy dudes but variety is the spice of life. Let them mix it up.
It's funny how we've done a 180 from like 15-20 years ago where, until ECW and the WCW cruiser division, guys like Malenko and Guerrero couldn't catch a break in the big leagues despite their enormous talent. Now, a guy like Vader, Bam Bam or Bossman, would have to lose weight before getting a second look. "He's big...He can't work!"
We could be missing out on some great guys.

Hogan says TNA lack super heavyweights. He was on the Bubba's radio talking about this. He said he beleives they need more bigs who can work. He mentioned guys who have size and can move to. He thinks they could use more guys like Vader, Hansen, Gordy, Bundy, Bam Bam, Brody, and Hercules. I don't know many young bigs in American. I wonder can you guys come with any that fit this profile. I believe Bison Smith, Claudio(not your typical big) Hero(naturally), maybe Brodie Lee. Hero's not a "big" Yes, he's tall, but he's so skinny he can't even sit on the toilet without being afraid of falling in.

TNA should take a shot on Dave Moralez, who is currently in OVW as Dave Mastiff - he's not a tall guy, but that doesn't matter so much in TNA - the important thing is that he wrestles like a monster, and is built like someone put lets on a wrecking ball.

Remember that 2 of the most popular WWE guys of late were John Cena and Jeff Hardy. Neither is superhuge. Indicating that McMahon, at least, is willing to move on from the bigger=better stereotype. TNA is trying to compete with WWE. Unfortunately, it's trying to compete with the version of WWE that existed in the 80s, when people who got pushed were roidmonsters. Umm...yeah He doesn't look THAT big now. I mean, he's certainly strong looking, but that Cena (Prototype) was when Cena was in OVW and basically looked like the Terminator. Contrast it with Bastista, who still looks that huge.

Really it's like people are serious about OMG he's going to ruin everything with a big guy.
Brock Lesnar is a big guy he's the biggest PPV draw right now.

I don't think just because TNA add a few bigs mean AJ, will get buried. I feel it will help add to his resume with fans. I became a bigger fan of Aj doing his matches with Joe. Watching him compete against a strong heavyweight made me pull for the underdog.
I believe we're to quick to discount the postitve effect it could have. Japan, PR, and WWF made alot of money and stars off monsters.

Actually AJ and Daniels are not as big/tall as Bret Hart or Sting, Sting dwarfed AJ in their matches. But guys like Beer Money, the British Invasion...Well I guess those are the only mid-sized guys. and foley, but the dude is fat then there is Stevie TNA has 6 big men, 6 midsized guys, and a bunch of short guys

Lets not forget guys Bischoff will help Hulk pick the talent. He has a good eye for talent he went and got Rey Jr., Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit, and Juvi. He did say that he likes alot of different indy and international talent. Also I know he has alot repsect for NJPW talent.

Exactly one of whom ever made it above the midcard in WCW, and that was when Bischoff wasn't with the company in a creative capacity. So that track record doesn't really jive with me.

I kinda see where Hogan's coming from. It's always seemed like, until Morgan and Nash started wrestling regularly, the only big guy they had was Abyss. I remember when Abyss was rumored to be going to WWE that a lot of people said that while he was a big enough dude, in the WWE he'd be an average sized hoss, which would not work to his advantage. However, TNA has worked well with having the smaller, agile wrestlers, so I wouldn't have any problem if they got more big guys, as long as they don't lose that balance.

When you have guys like Hogan, Hart, Savage, Nash, Sting, DDP, and Goldberg in the main event they couldn't make room. It was when Hogan left, Hart left, and Savage left that the midcard guys started to make a rise.

I Hopefully Hogan and Eric learned their lessons from seeing the success WWE had putting Eddie, Benoit, Rey and Jericho in the main event while WCW kept them stuck in the mid card. What success? Their world title runs were not that good.
