What is known is that those close to TNA president Dixie Carter recommended an extensive list of talent 15 to 20 names to be cut. Thus far, Carter has refused to cut those requested since she doesn't want talent who have been loyal to the organization be unemployed in these uncertain economic times. Somebody might want to inform Dixie that she's running a business and not a safe haven. There will always be a market for pro wrestlers, especially ones that have been on television. WWE might want to pick up a few, there's ROH, & Japan. They will be fine. Dixie, do what is in the best interest of your business. You can always hire people back when your company is in better financial shape.

I think it's great she wants to reward loyalty, but if things continue to be fair to middling for TNA, she puts EVERYBODY at risk, not just this segment of people.

I bet they'd save more if they sent Hulk and EZ E packing.

I'm gonna hope that the rumour of Dixie's reluctance to fire wrestlers because of their loyalty is false. Because if it is true, this only proves how weak she is as a leader. As much as I appreciate what she's TRYING to do, she is burning money week in and week out, otherwise this demand wouldn't have been made in the first place. They need to slim the fat and have a tighter roster, like WWE has done, or they're in trouble.

I don't think so. But I also believe he has his payments secure, since he's still on contract with New Japan.

My 15 would be.
1 & 2. Generation Me- useless 3. Jesse Neal- don't see anything in him 4. Lacey Von Erich- all she has is her looks, but she can't wrestle or talk 5. Shannon Moore - never understood why they hired him in the first place 6. Taz- please get rid of him, and hire JR. Never liked Taz as announcer 7. Alex Shelley- overrated 8. Chris Sabin- overrated 9. Jay Lethal- if he has to get over using other peoples gimmicks he shouldn't be on the roster. 10. Homicide- he doesn't want to be there anyways it seems 11. ODB- from her comments she's going to be gone soon anyway 12. Tomko- they don't use him and he's overweight 13. Shark Boy- hasn't been on TV in months 14. Kiyoshi- never used 15. Brutus Magnus- he sucks imo

This problem wouldnt exsist had Dixie not gone ahead and hired every Tom, Dick, and Harry that was either cast off from the WWE or did the Hogan Geriatric tour in Austrailia.
I mean, is there anyone who DIDNT see this coming?

Seriously, Shark Boy's contract can't be worth THAT much. Send The Band packing instead. You win for the smarkiest post I have ever seen in my life!!!!

Firing Shark Boy, who's probably got one of the least expensive contracts on the roster, wouldn't do anything as a mony saving move. Getting rid of at least Scott Hall and Waltman(assuming Waltman's still on the payroll, anyways), who are both LONG past the point where they're any good to anyone, would save a ton of money, because those guys are probably making out like bandits.

If they release anyone soon I guess these will be wrestlers that will be let go.
01 Dr. Stevie 02 Raven (IMO he should be on the creative team or a producer) 03 Rhino 04 Kiyoshi (It's obvious they have no plans for him just let the guy go back to Japan) 05 Homicide 06 Brutus Magnus 07 Tomko 08 Hamada (Her contract will be up soon and I don't they are going to re-sign her) 09 ODB 10 Shark Boy (I like him but I think he's number might finally be up) 11 Brian Kendrick (He's just been kind of there) 12 Suicide (If they have no long term plans they might as well scrap the character)
Well that's 12 anyway.

I'm sorry, but after the last couple months, I say keep Hall and Nash.
Nash has behaved himself very well in TNA and Hall's trying.
I say maybe it's time to say goodbye to Abyss.

Y'know who should be cut?
Hall and Nash neither adds anything whatsoever other than a place to dump money Fire them and I bet you they'll miraculously have enough to keep the other 13 But if they still want too
Kendrick Okada Tomko Raven Tara Val Rayne Stevie Erich Flair Young Terry Hamada Hemme
All of them are either terrible or serve no purpose

Nobody flamed me for putting Angle on the list of people I'd release yet? Wow, this is the most controlled discussion I've seen in TNA forum. Oh, and TTS, Tara is already gone.

The thing is, they're still not doing anything for the bottom line, especially considering that they're supposed to be two of the "biggest names in wrestling history". They don't add anything to the product from a drawing standpoint or in-ring standpoint.

If they count recent releases:
1) Christopher Daniels 2) Tara 3) Dave the Announcer Guy 4) Hamada 5) Homicide 6) Jimmy Hart 7) Kiyoshi 8) Mangus 9) ODB 10) Scott Hall 11) Sean Waltman 12) Taylor Wilde 13) Tomko 14) Ed the Booker guy 15) Vince Russo I saved the Ecw guys, because I think will do an ECW stable if they sign Heyman. I also saved Shark Boy as he works some house shows where he doubles as a ref.

I'm only suggesting people who aren't being used all that often.

I'd say something about them releasing the whole Knockouts division, except that wouldn't save them any money...

I'm not big on contract law (let alone in relation to wrestlers) but surely you can't sign people to contracts, and then fire them a couple of months later without paying up the value of the contract?
If that's the case, then the new people are fairly safe unless they are on pay per appearance deals.
You've got to factor in that some guys who are on PPA deals don't work TV, but are still on at house shows, and that some people (like say, Amazing Red, the Knockouts ect) are likely to be pretty much working for the square root of f*** all, so cutting them is pointless. Decent workers who'll work for next to nothing should be how they fill up the roster if they are going to have Sting, Hogan, RVD, Hardy ect.
People who can go....
- Raven - Dr Stevie - Don West - Homicide - Hernandez - Rhino - So Cal Val - Tomko - D-Von - Bubba Ray - Hamada - Sting

Dixie Carter gets taken to task at times for being a bit of a mark, but it's pretty cool of her that she wants to keep people that have been loyal. I'm guessing some of those include a guy like Rhino and Sharkboy for example.
Anyway, here's who I think will go:
-Amazing Red -Brutus Magnus -Dr. Stevie -Generation Me -Hamada -Homicide -Jimmy Hart -Kiyoshi -ODB -Raven -Rhino -Sean Waltman -Shark Boy -Tomko
Many of those people I don't want to go. A good chunk of that list I don't want to go. But, they have to make room to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on one or two guys that might be under contract. I mean, even though many of these wrestlers were around when TNA were doing much better ratings last year, they're not as valuable as the stars Hogan and company brought in. So we can't have them.
