The title says it all now he has a lot of titles Mr Wrestlemania/show stopper etc and odds are any wrestling fans top ten matches will have Shawn Micheals name in one of the matches. Summed up by the crowd chants in the last two wrestlemanias "This is Awesome" OTOH Is he overrated and simply given some great gimmick titles/nicknames who is fortunate that Vince thinks he is brilliant and Trips is his best friend. While his time as champion was pretty much a disaster back in the day and he could never claim to the draw levels of Austin/Rock and Hogan. So is Shawn the best or simply given the gift of WWE promotion and the help of a good friend??? Myself to be clear I think he is the best and if he had not have been I doubt the WWE could have kept going as long as they could with it and not have it fail. Look at when they tried it with Cena but I am curious as to what other think

He's one of the best, but to me he'll never be the greatest. That spot will always belong to Hogan, in my book. And I'm not even a huge fan of his, just my unbiased opinion.

IMO, he is awesome but greatest of all time? No. I was defiently more of a HBK fan then I was Bret Hart, but for some reason Id give greatest of all time to bret over Shawn.

I think so, but i am a pretty biased HBK mark.
He had it all: look, charisma, mic skills, and in-ring skills. He had clear classic matches, was part of one of the most influential groups in wrestling history, held every belt, played a WAY over heel AND face, headlined numerous wrestlemanias, helped pioneer the HIAC, Ladder, Elimination Chamber, and Ironman matches, and is one of the few guys who could say they came back after a 4+ year absence and were still considered one of the best of all time AND left when near the top of their game.

No, the greatest of all time is Michael Tarver.
I'm not kidding.

He's the greatest (all round) of all time, IMHO. He was the reason I started watching WWE.. err... F. His fighting spirit, charisma and in-ring style will never be matched.

The single best professional wrestler I have ever seen. Period.
Not Ric Flair. Not Bret Hart. Not Randy Savage. They are all close, but nobody - NOBODY! - deserves the title "greatest ever" more than Shawn Michaels.

One of the best, probably in the top 5 of all time. The likes of Misawa,Kobashi and Manami Toyota are better imo if we include every wrestler from the world.

The greatest of all time will always be Ric Flair for me, it doesn´t matter what he does now and all that private bulls***, but back in the days he was the Man and he still is in my opinion.
But Shawn Michaels is easily in the Top 5 of all time

IMHO, certainly one of the top five greatest of all time. If not the greatest of all time.

I'd say he's the best in ring performer of all time but he's never been a real huge seller of merchandise or tickets maybe he was back in the mid 90's but i was about 5 back then so i dont know. But i do know that micheals has never been a house hold name unlike hogan, the rock, or stone cold
Overall i think Hogan has to be the greatest of all time, sure he wasnt the best in ring performer but he gave wrestling main stream popularity if it wasnt for him the wrestling indusrty would never have been as big as it is today

I don't think the best of all time in my opinion but in the top five. My top five:
1.Ric Flair 2.Steve Austin 3.The Rock 4.Shawn Micheals 5.Bret Hart
honarble mentions; Mick Foley, Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Chris Jericho, Raven.
