"Losing his smile" rather than facing (and jobbing to) Bret Hart at WM13.
Claiming he knew nothing about the screwjob until years after the incident.

Davey Boy Smith dedicated a European Championship title match (that he knew he was winning) he was having with Shawn Michaels, to his dying sister. Well, Shawn got Vince to change the finish so that Shawn won the title instead. Bret Hart said Davy Boy Smith was never the same after that.

Wasn't Shawn also responsible for Chris Candido quitting in '96? Yeah. The story goes Candido caught Sunny with Shawn because Shawn had a bunch of coke or something. Candido finds out, says he quits. Whomever he was standing with says, "You can't quit without written notice!" so Candido turns over his hotel bill writes "I quit!, Chris Candido" and walks off. Shawn once also completely buried Taker when Raw was off the air. He was calling out Taker, saying how Taker wasn't man enough to face him and so on, knowing full well Taker wasn't in the building. When Taker heard of it, he was f***ing livid, but Crush, who was very close to Taker, convinced Taker the whole segment was off air and was very funny.

This thread could be 20 pages long and still not cover everything I have heard/read about Shawn. He was a grade A douche from everything I have read. The Hogan thing doesn't make sense because Hulk was the babyface. He had to win the last match, so if a rematch was ever in the cards than Shawn likely would have won the first one unclean so Hogan could get revenge. In other words, I think this story is fabricated. HBK being upset that he had to feud with Masters seems a lot more plausible to me. He only found out there was going to be only 1 match on the Friday or Saturday of Summerslam, AFAIK. Hence the legendary overselling job that he pulled. Yeah, the plan I believe was for HBK to go over and Hogan to win the rematch. Then Hogan mysteriously picked up an injury during the week before Summerslam which miraculously healed when HBK agreed that there would be one match with him on the losing end.

From what I heard it went a bit different. Ahmed Johnson had the coke and Chris and Sunny wanted to have some of it. Ahmed said they could have it if Sunny slept with him, so she went up to his hotel room. After they were done she was about to go back to Chris but Shawn met her in the hotel corridor and talked her into going to his room with him instead. Candido kept waiting and waiting and waiting and finally went looking for her. Finding out, of course, that not only there wasn't any coke left for him, but his girlfriend also got laid not only by Ahmed Johnson but by Michaels as well. So he quit on the spot.

If thats true, thats just mental. Anyone have a list of wrestlers she had flings with? Would be interested in seeing how long it is...... ..... Thats what SUNNY said.

I'm sure someone could give you a list. They would be doing what most people would be doing, guessing, but they could probably furnish a list of maybes and "I heard it from a guy".
Has anyone else noticed that wrestling fans are the biggest gossiping hens? Hell, me included, but it's true. We want to know who's dating, what guy's getting fired next, and who hates who.

Yes, you may be correct. I think Shawn went up to Chris and said "Thanks for the bump" or something, as I now recall.

In addition, we also develop a more personal attachment to the wrestlers than usual athletes. They aren't hidden by bulky protective gear or stuffed into jerseys, we see their face, hear them talk, and see them every week, all year.

But the thing I described certainly applies to me. I see them as characters week in and week out doing scripted stuff all the time that it's just fascinating to learn about them as humans.

Didn't he come back to the locker room at Wrestlemania 15 or 16 so high of his rocket? Apparently Taker was so disgusted he walked out? I think that was also the same night he had a big argument with HHH.

'No condition to perform' back when during his commish days, right?
As an aside, I don't know why Taker never broke his foot off in his ass a few times.

I remember a story where he tried to make an ass out of Ken Shamrock by calling out his moves during the match loud enough that people could hear him. I think the only reason Shamrock didn't do anything is because he had no idea what was going on. Then there was the time where he along with Triple H tried to bury the Rock back when he was IC champion. He apparently told Ken to "call your spots nice and loud". HEH! Okay, that's funny. Mean, but funny. Still, when I watch that match, I only hear Shawn talking... I don't hear anything from Ken.

I don't think guys like Shawn ever really change. Maybe they mature a bit, but they will always have that prick side to them. I have friends like that. Plus, anyone who hides behind religion as much as Shawn does/did is probably doing it for a reason. I can't believe anyone here would defend Shawn's actions against Hogan at Summerslam. Even if you hate Hogan and love Shawn, it was one of the biggest slaps in the face a wrestler can do. You don't make a mockery out of a match like that. You do your job and beef about it backstage if it is a problem. It's not like Hogan beat Shawn in San Antonio in a match that Shawn dedicated to his dying sister, or anything. The build-up made Hogan winning clean as the only plausible conclusion to end the story. You can't trade wins like that and except fans to plop money to see rematches. It would be nice if someone made a list of all of the Shawn douchebag stories and compiled it into one post. It would be a LONG post, but entertaining nonetheless.

This is as good a place to ask this as any. Can I get the definitive explanation of what this whole "lost his smile" business is all about? I hear it on here all the time but I'm not 100% sure what it means.
