Huh? CM Punk seems to be doing alright for himself. Sorry, I meant God (technically the same thing). HBK's one time tag-mate. His marching orders came with this post-it attached: "Our all-conquering entity has jorts. Beat that! Ya' hairy prick."

Booker T. He was one of the top guys of WCW and the minute he gets in the WWE they bury him to the Rock, and then Austin, and then Triple H. No slight against those three, but it felt like it was the WWE's agenda to introduce Booker T as "the poor man's Rock" instead of him being a serious competitor like he was in WCW. I thought the opposite. In WCW he was another generic upper midcarder I never paid attention to. In WWE they gave him a personality and showed he had the charisma to stand next to the Rock, Angle, or Golddust at their best. He was doing gameshows and commercials and had way more success than he ever got in WCW.

I'm thinking Cherry, Kaval (now, though it was mutual), the Usos (they aren't bad), Darren Young (the guy has talent), and the "Burchills".

Kaval. If you're gonna make him win your competition, that means you have some f***ing idea on what to do with him after. I just know god damn creative was like, "Yeah, we're just slow and can't come up with anything for you...peace out"
I understand that they have to write a whole bunch of scripts and all for shows, but come on, HE WON YOUR COMPETITION, DO SOMETHING WITH HIM.

I agree on Burchill, but is my memory failing me on Knox -- doesn't he have the voice of one of the chipmonks?

This thread topic begins and ends with Colt Cabana- at least they did SOME things with the other guys mentioned here. Cabana is the only one i can think of that was/is supremely talented, and they did absolute dick with him from the moment he signed to the moment he was released.

Big Show - His lack of direction can be attributed to his weight gains over the years, but WWE messed his push up with start/stop booking, far too many heel turns (he's never been a convincing heel IMO - I never bought the "waking a sleeping giant" crap) and losses and a boring character when he should have been the next Andre. Look at how Show is now - a very over slightly goofy face who can get serious at any time and easily dominate anyone. That's what he should have been from the beginning and he could have become a major cross over star. I guess when he debuted they were more concerned with feeding people to Austin. It's ironic that Vince has been reported to have said that WCW didn't know how to book a giant, when Show was booked brilliantly in WCW compared to his WWE career. Yes, this is the best way to look at it. In the "What's Next For The Big Show" thread, it's really hard to fathom 10-11 years ago that we'd be at such a loss of direction for this guy. A big guy you're trying to promote as "The World's Largest Athlete" should not have such a lousy win/loss record. He should have been an attraction in and of himself like Andre was. It should be a huge deal to watch the Big Show, but it's not. He's just another wrestler who happens to be a big guy. In a way, it's like Yao Ming in the NBA. Yes, he's the NBA's tallest basketball player, but what has he done over the past few seasons? There's no way to promote a guy as a huge deal when he's always hurt and can never play. You're not going to buy a ticket to see a big guy sitting on the bench, just like you're not going to the arena to see "The World's Largest Athlete" lose night in and night out. Between him and Vader, I don't know what was more depressing to watch deteriorate into a vast "Land of the Forgotten Ones". Don't get me wrong, I think untapped potential is a disappointing thing, no matter what the size or ability. But, when you have an internationally recognized commodity like Vader or hire an awe-inspiring man like the Big Show - one that has "can't miss prospect" written all over it, and you fail - it doesn't just hurt the one guy or an angle. It hurts the entire company, not to mention the perception of said-company.

Kanyon.
Prior to his injury in 2001, they seemed intent of making the "Who Betta than Kanyon" catchphrase stick, along with using him as a decent midcarder. But then he got injured, returned in 03 to Velocity hell, and was fired not too long after.

I dunno, he did have that pretty unfunny online show for awhile. That's more than some guys can say.

(I mean as opposed to WWF)

Elijah Burke and Sean O'Haire, although O'Haire was apparently a giant dick backstage. But I guess at the same time that didn't affect guys like Batista and Orton, who were handpicked by Triple H and Ric Flair. But Burke's case was just f***ing sad. "The Diva Search is a joke", released shortly afterwards, only for them to completely scrape the concept the following year. Retards. preach it! i dont get it tho.......wwe has people that they want to push and thats all. then when those guys die, retire, start getting stale, they scratch their heads then give miz the title.....

Elijah Burke, Serena Deeb, Colt Cabana, Shelton Benjamin, Pirate Burchill (Perfect for today's PG direction), Katie Lea, and Raven.

This. My friend told me that he was pretty much a black AJ Styles. He had all the tools to become successful. But soon WWE stopped utilizing him and he started to not care and half ass it, resulting in him being fodder for top faces like Morrison, Christian and Triple H, and a welcome mat for new superstars like Sheamus, Yoshi Tatsu and Vance Archer. If I remember correctly, rumor has it that Benjamin got into trouble back stage, which resulted in him getting the jobber treatment which also resulted him losing all that buildup. Actually its true. Word has it that he disrespected a WWE Veteran backstage which caused his red hot push to go up in smoke.
