When I read this part:
I knew what I was in store for. Now as a guy who likes both Sheamus and DB, this has to be the most pretentious thing I've read on WC in a minute

I still would have inducted XI before 27. I mean, 27 was bad and all, but a lot of people have been wanting to see XI inducted for ages--me included. I emailed RD about it over 7 years ago, and he flat out said he would never induct 11. I don't know why...production problems, indulgence on celebs, poor match selection and a football player cleanly beating a wrestler.

Edge destroying Del Rio's car. This made absolutely no sense whatsoever and just made the face look like a dick. That was Edge's last face run in a nutshell. the kidnapping Paul Bearer storyline was so heelish. Edge's face character was always a dick. Doesn't anyone remember when he would get pissed off and attack someone with a chair after his match while the audience cheered him on?

For all the literary criticism I think his brilliant Melina joke is being ignored. Good work.

You have Luger and Bulldog in a throwaway tag match. You could have done Luger vs Bret for number one contendership, a match that was sorta teased all through 1993/1994 and never happened. You could have had 123 Kid in a match, maybe against Candido, that would've been awesome. Even keeping the same matches you could have had Bret/Backlund be a match similar to their contest at Survivor Series 1994 rather than something that amounted to a squash.

Not deserved at all, I don't think. Personally while I found the show disappointing I thought it was a lot better than 25 or 26.
Though those two at least didn't have the same massive pacing problems.
Also, I really don't know why people can't get off the presence of the backstage skits. Every Mania has them, and other than that Rock / Eve / Mae Young / Austin one they were all pretty short.

ADR/Edge and Taker/HHH were the only above average matches on the show. Main event sucked donkey balls and starting Mania with a 20 minutes promo :smh:

I was just going by the March 1995 roster I found online: Looking at History of WWE it seems whether he was signed or not Skip didn't debut until May. I went ahead and looked up shows from before Wrestlemania on HistoryofWWE, as far as guys that weren't on the show but could've been and I see guys like Pierre, Kama, Hakushi, Tatanka, The Heavenly Bodies (who could've had that tag match with the Blus), Aldo Montoya, Adam Bomb, Kwang. Hakushi vs 123 Kid or Aldo Montoya (both matches that were run on house shows pre-Mania) alone would've done a lot to improve the show, not to mention all of the alternative and better decisions that could've been made as far as booking goes.

Probably the worst thing about Bryan/Sheamus not making the Main Card was that it was turned into a Battle Royal that THE GREAT KHALI won!`
That is just awful. If they cut Rock's opening monologue and cut Lawler/Cole in half, maybe 75%, and they'd be able to have that match.
It's something that I wanted to Bryan and Sheamus to bring up during the Build-Up to this year. Last year, the company didn't see fit to even put their match on the show. Now, they're in a match for the World Heavyweight Title.
I just think the good stuff like Orton/Punk, HHH/Taker, and Rhodes/Mysterio was very good, but the bad stuff just dragged on FOREVER!

Great. I've been to only two PPVs (WM 27 and December 2 Dismember) and they both got Wrestlecrap inductions. Seriously, f*** my life.

Wrestlemania 27 wasn't wrestlecrap worthy. I'm not even adding a 'IMO' because a couple of dodgy skits, an awful announcers match and a disappointing main event do not make wrestlecrap.

Guess a good thing then that in the midst of a crappy storyline the Invasion PPV itself is generally seen as pretty solid - only PPV I've been to. Also, I will continue to stand by the opinion that Unforgiven 2002 should have been inducted years ago.

I never heard about him being injured, whatever his condition was he was able to wrestle three matches in Japan just two days before Wrestlemania. Like I wasn't there and stuff but to me I can think of a million ways to improve Wrestlemania XI.

IIRC, his arm is in a sling and that's why he's in Razor's corner for the match.

You could've went to the infamous Monday Nitro where Chucky cuts a promo on Rick Steiner like I did! I bet that sucked. I lucked up with WCW. I went to one show and it was the Nitro where Goldberg beat Hogan for the belt. The whole show was fantastic. But WWE/WWF? Pssh. I've been to 5 shows (2 PPVs, 2 RAWs, 1 house show) and they ranged from terrible to okay. Granted, I don't think WM 27 was Wrestlecrap worthy. It's not one of those "so bad it's funny" things. It was just a poorly booked show with a few of good matches. It certainly wasn't worth $70 or however much it cost, but I had free tickets so I feel that I dodged a bullet there. I still hate that the one WM I attended was such a let down. NOTHING historical happened outside of Edge's last match, and that wasn't even on purpose.
