No it wasn't. It had the match of the year on it. But CM Punk-John Cena happened at MITB? Yeah, but it didn't have Triple H / Taker.

Does anyone think Undertaker - Triple H from last year was better than either of the Undertaker - Michaels matches?

He freely admits to Taker-HHH being a MOTY candidate and Orton-Punk, Rhodes-Mysterio and Edge-ADR being awesome matches. Really a PPV with 4 great matches should not be considered wrestlecrap unless the rest of the show is live footage of Vince McMahon doing a poo. And as bad as some of the show was, it didn't get that bad.

Does anyone think Undertaker - Triple H from last year was better than either of the Undertaker - Michaels matches? I thought it was easily better than the second Michaels match. The first, I'm iffy on it.

Wait a minute, Wrestlecrap's inducting a wrestling PPV from early 2011... and its not Victory Road? If we went with that kind of logic it'd be hard for anything non TNA related to make it as an induction. It's like the opposite of the "Simpsons did it" thing, there's always "Well TNA did it worse!"

No it wasn't.
The article itself states there were a number of positive matches, plus Snooky's involvement was somewhat positive, she made a decent showing.
Interesting choice. Wrong choice.

So four of the best matches of 2011 counts as a "little bit"?

I agree with the article writer tbh, except I found Undertaker vs Triple H boring and slow until the final moments.

Yeah, I totally agree with the event itself being Wrestlecrap, but the writing of the article left me very, very confused.
If he was going to make the point that "there were a few good matches on the show...but the rest was so bad that I barely even remember them!" or something I'd get it, but he didn't even try making that point.

It was bad enough that I didn't watch WWE until punk did that promo on cena.

It was bad enough that I didn't watch WWE until punk did that promo on cena. Oh, you lucky bastard. I gave up last year myself until the night after Money in the Bank (besides looking at the Punk promos on Youtube), but it wasn't until after the Rock birthday episode. Now that show sucked. Granted, people weren't expected to pay for it.

oh it certainly deserved to be there, if only for the downright TERRIBLE time management. Cole/Lawler, Rock's too-long promo, pointless and unfunny skits taking up space that could've gone to the wrestlers and an anti-climactic and terrible main event just clinched it. it did have some good matches but when nobody remembers them because of the crap, it deserves to be Wrestlecrap.

Really disagree with it. The post isn't funny. Wrestlecrap inductions are funny & well crap. Wrestlemania 27 was a well produced very enjoyable show. There was no wrestlecrap there except for Michael cole.

I'm sure you could make a great argument for it being there. But, writing the induction and mentioning how great most of the matches and how good Snooki's involvement was really makes that hard I would think.

The biggest problem with the show is that it never really got momentum because all the good things were followed by bad things that cut the show off at the knees and nullified whatever gains that had been made. It ultimately ended without anything of consequence having occurred, outside of Edge's last match which was entirely incidental, and nothing having been resolved. Despite having some good matches it was far less than the sum of its parts, a letdown for the audience who were asked to pay $50+ to watch it, and above all a really awful narrative.

People really overreact negatively to 27. I thoroughly enjoyed everything but Cole/Lawler.

I dont like 27 much at all, but I wouldnt classify it as crap either. Its just not a very good Wrestlemania. It was a very boring broadcast.
