I honestly think mania 12 was worse, Aside from the Diesel/Taker match & some of the Iron man match (Overall that was a dull match)
Mania 12 BLEW!!!!

For the price, it was junk. If I was watching it for free, I would have no problem with it at all. Too many filler segments, some matches in the middle were very sound but had no meaning at all, etc, the main event was a concussion filled dud... This is more how I think people should be viewing it: take into consideration that this was an expensive pay per view, and that it was supposed to be the biggest, best show of the year...and I think it does deserve an induction. The high points of the show weren't that good. Orton/Punk and Rhodes/Mysterio were ok, maybe Orton/Punk was slightly better than ok...not much else going on, outside of about 10 tense minutes of Trips/Taker. Hell, WM 2 got inducted and that had a great Tag Title match and a couple other decent moments. Thing is, it's not about shows having NOTHING good; its rare to see a show where's there's absolutely nothing redeeming about it. It's about taking a show in in totem. Did last year's show have a few redeeming qualities? Sure. So did past shows that got inductions. But the overall experience was horrific. Booking a supposed "World Title" match first, bumping off a solid sounding US title match, 20 minute opening promo, horrific backstage sketch with a rapping leprechaun, the worst match in WM history...between two ANNOUNCERS(!!!)...and a pretty terrible main event. Basically, to balance that you, you've got a few ok matches and some good moments in the 'Taker match. Put all together, it's a pretty damn crappy show.

apparently last years show is on the same level as WM 2 and 9
and worse then 11 and 12 which aren''t inducted for reasons I'll never understand

No it wasn't. It had the match of the year on it. But CM Punk-John Cena happened at MITB? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)

The review is inane; the event wasn't that bad; I agree with most people, yadda yadda.
But, I do want to call attention to one thing. The reviewer makes this huuuuuge deal about the world title match going on first. What a bizarre and outdated way of thinking to act like match order represents level of importance. In fact, they put it on first BECAUSE it was important.
People make this point sometimes on here, and I absolutely never understand it. It hasn't been true for YEARS that the "least important" match goes first on a PPV, and yet people still trot it out when they want to criticize something. Weird.

Yeah, whoever wrote this had some kind of agenda. And it wasn't RD Reynolds, as he was busy working on a shoot interview.
That being said, there were quite a few bad moments at this event. I wonder if TNA will ever get an entire PPV inducted soon.

Actually after thinking about it, I would have inducted WM 25 before 27. Take away UT/HBK and WM 25 was a total shmozz.

I still remember getting out of work at 7 on WM27 night, rushing to walk to my friend's house, and got there a half hour late...only to walk into the Rock cutting a promo.
It is not a Wrestlemania to remember.

Honestly, it wasn't that bad of a show.
Taker-HHH was great. Punk-Orton and Edge-Del Rio were good. Rey-Cody was a pretty good midcard match.
The main event was horrible though. But still, I wouldn't even put 27 in the bottom 3 of WM's.

I'm going to flat out say it...while Wrestlecrap introduced me to a lot of inductions I had flat out forgotten about and were humorous, I honestly think that the writing (including RD) on the site has been basic for many years now. A lot of the time, if the writer is watching something they don't like, they'll compare it to something else 100 times worse and outrageous, and they'll continue go back to the same formula over and over instead actually critiquing what they're watching. I think after Death of WCW, they should have just gone to video...which they sort of have with WCRadio...but the other stuff just is outdated. I still think the first 2 books are great, even though they have a LOT of glaring errors and favoritism.

I got the impression after watching it that it was bad. Sure Taker vs. HHH was arguarbly a classic and Edge vs. ADR and Punk vs. Orton were both very good matches but the bad I'm afraid far outweighed the good. I remember putting on my Facebook status I was happy I didn't stay up to watch it and watched it on the Monday afternoon.
Plus I think the reviewer is giving Rhodes vs. Rey too much credit it was average at best.

I think it's crazy that WM 27 would get inducted over Victory Road.

I think the days of wrestlecrap are over, at least in terms of the original definition of that concept. The WWE is too conservative now. There's bad shows/gimmicks that don't go anywhere, and there's a guy dressed as a turkey who dances for 20 minutes during a PPV. Totally different things.

It kind of deserves it. That main event was one of the most dissapointing in WM history, and that's what a show should be judged on. It will also go down as highly unmemorable overall minus Taker/HHH.
However, it's hard to take Wrestlecrap seriously until they induct Wrestlemania 11.

Actually, you've stumbled on a point that you never meant to make. With the exception of Eddiesploitation (which had to be there because it was just so mind-blowingly disrespectful; Jeff Hardy at Victory Road would also fall under this category if it's ever inducted), Wrestlecrap was never meant to be taken seriously! That's the entire point. Weird, goofball crap that was memorably weird and off the wall. Things that were stupid in a corny way. The WM27 just comes off as a snarky list of grievances that the author means to have taken seriously. Instead of poking fun at something with a loving hand, he's bitchslapping it with the "IT STINKS!" Caustic Critic baseball bat of bluntness. It comes across as the opposite of what WC was supposed to be about, to me, and more like it should just be some random thread on /wooo/.

WrestleMania 27 was not Wrestlecrap. Completely unwarranted.

I wouldnt call it wrestlecrap.
However, by Wrestlemania standards, it was pretty lackluster

Actually after thinking about it, I would have inducted WM 25 before 27. Take away UT/HBK and WM 25 was a total shmozz. 25 was more underwhelming/anti-climactic than bad. (Kid Rock/Divas was the only cringe worthy aspect of the show) Mania 27 had too many rediculous sheananigans (WHC/royal rumble winner curtain jerking, cole/lawler mess, main event mess, two 5 minute multi person tag matches, a 15 minute opening promo) thus i feel the wrestlecrap induction is warranted
