Am I the ONLY dude in existence who liked the idea of the Extremis armor? I know yeah yeah, it kinda goes against what he is, but at the same time, Stark is all about the new era of cutting edge technology. Nanomachinery is the future. It kinda makes sense to adapt to the situation and the times. It never bothered me.

I didn't hate it, it just to me took away from him actually using his brain to solve problems once he had 'powers'.
Wasn't a huge deal, I just like him without it.

I just hope they don't do the ghost crap from the animated movie. That kind of pissed me off.

I don't see why no Mandarin is that big a deal anyway. I don't think Mandarin when i think Iron Man. When I think Iron man the villains that come to mind are Crimson Dynamo & Titanium Man.

Cap didn't come off looking much better either.

New origin story = bad. New Iron Man movie = good! They aren't going to change his origin story in the movie. The origin in the Extremis storyline is the one they used in the first Iron Man movie. Oh, really? In that case I'm for it.

It is, cuz when he's done right he can be a really great character. I just hope we don't see Tony fighting yet another dude in armor in this one. I've liked both movies, but enough is enough with that. My other favorite Iron Man villain I'd love to see is Living Laser.

Living Laser woud be cool, and he'd be very easy to adapt to a live action movie.

Y'know, after Iron Man 2, the only interest I have in this movie is wondering how in the hell a guy who directed one movie ten years ago got assigned to directing it. Him getting Death Note I get, since that one's probably doomed to development hell anyway and it'd probably bomb regardless because the idea's weird as hell (though awesome, in Japan at least - granted, didn't even really like the live action movies), but who did he blow to get Iron Man 3?

I wanted Mandarin because it would have given us a movie villain for Tony that wasn't in armor or a machine. Technology vs. Magic would have been awesome.

He wasn't an after thought, he was in the background. Fraction's entire run was set up by Mandy, and he has gone full blown off the deep end to get Tony. He has a ton of Tony's Rogues turned in to human bombs, if they don't do what he says Living Laser will not live. Same with quite a few other rogues. He has also stooped to terrorism and industrial sabotage. Mandarin is all up in Iron Man right now.

Also, there was an Invinicble Iron man annual or one shot that showed what he has been up to for a bit. Great great one shot.

It kinda makes sense to adapt to the situation and the times. I like it to a degree. The original Extremis tech was cool and fit the character, however his current Bleeding Edge armor is just ridiculous. He's basically a cyborg at this point.

Or am I just thinking of the cartoon where the rings were tech based in some way? The rings are alien technology or they were originally I believe. I don't get why they can't do Mandarin at some point... especially as they have kind of been building up to him in the first two movies. With the 10 rings being the people that kidnapped Tony, being the ones to give Whiplash the tickets to America... and not to mention the theories stemming from Hammer wearing a ring similar to one of the Mandarins throughout the second movie.

How about the Silver Centurion armor? That was supposed to be the suitcase armor in 2.
