the reason Kaitlyn doesn't get pushed more

I'm the type of guy who generally likes the skinny type girls, but I even think Kaitlyn is friggin' hot.

Besides, if Vince didn't like thicker/bigger Divas then why has Beth Phoenix been the most pushed Diva since McCool? I honestly think it's because she was awful in the ring. I haven't seen Kaitlyn's work on NXT lately, but many of you guys seem to think she's getting better so maybe a return to Smackdown is near.

Beth, by no means was the biggest pushed Diva since McCool. Sure, she had a 4 or 5 month title run, but she was not pushed to the moon or anything during it. She was a punching bag for Kelly Kelly & Eve, & then later Kelly Kelly & Maria Menounos. Beth never came across as dominant.
Kelly Kelly is the most pushed Diva since McCool.

Honestly Maryse's extensions were always terrible. You guys just don't notice because...well you're guys. Women notice these things. Obviously, me noticing it as a female wouldn't affect her push in WWE. It would affect her in Hollywood where she's trying to make a career, because quite frankly people notice those types of little details and things that a wrestling fan is going to over look because she's hot.


I think Kaitlyn does deserve a shot, but has been sidelined I really don't think Eve is capable of putting on a good match, decent maybe but I don't really rank her that highly despite how athletic she is...her wrestling is always off and never quite connects. It's crazy because she has to be up there with Naomi as one of the most athletic women on the roster, but her wrestling always looks so...fake.because of internal politics or gripes about her look. If WWE can tell Maria to lose weight, I have no doubt they'd have a similar issue with Kaitlyn. Remember, they even authorized the Mickie James/Molly Holly is fat storyline and had commentators talking about how she put on weight. While at other times, they pushed stick thin Ashley Massaro who looked like she hadn't seen a sandwich in years and had no wrestling ability whatsoever.

Kaitlyn getting mistreated for this is entirely possible.

Are you serious? I mean I know you dislike Eve but At least Give her some credit for working with what She's given. She's been a good heel so far.

I don't know I believe this, but it is possible even though someone like Beth is pushed. It's possible to make exceptions if you've got an opinion, but eventually you'll hit your limit

Last summer when Kaitlyn was Natalya's protege(And was wrestling on Smackdown regularly) she was a LITTLE bit on the the chubby side (Remember last summer when Rosa Mendes poked fun at her weight?). I don't believe her lack of push is because of her weight. I think she needs more time at FCW and her weak promo skills aren't helping her progress. It sucks for Kaitlyn that she got sent to the doghouse that is NXT, but at least she still has a job, didn't E release Cherry because of her weight??

You can't really criticize WWE & company for their shallowness when you're argument is that YOU think she is hot and it is wrong for anyone to say otherwise.

Don't get me wrong; I agree with the sentiment that WWE's idea of beauty is harsh, and extends into the greater society, blah blah blah. But the case made in this thread seems to be that WWE & McMahon are wrong because Kaitlyn is, after all, hot - and thus is an acceptable person to expose and objectify on TV.

So, the reason Kaitlyn isn't getting pushed is because she's too heavy? That makes sense to me. I mean, she'd have to be pretty heavy for no one on the roster to be able to push her. Maybe she's made of some sort of super dense material or has Colossus' mutant power.

Mind you, this was with her having only been on the NXT roster for about two weeks. As I recall, her first official match with the company was the one with Maxine on live television.

Isn't it at least plausible that she's not on television because she's not that good?

Beth, like Mickie Before her, has gotten multiple pushes for months on end. People only seem to harp on the lull periods.

I call the this the AJ styles syndrome. Guy's been there forever, pushed to the moon every couple of months, and people keep saying that he's being held down.

I never saw her when she was apparently terrible, but I thinks she's been pretty damn good in the ring since she went back to NXT. I sometimes skip through divas matches, but she's always one I watch because she's got a lot of strength and pulls off some really cool moves. I also don't understand why people are saying she's terrible on the mic, she's no Maxine, but she gets her point across well and seems pretty natural. Watch her on this weeks Backstage Fallout, she's ten times better than the divas that get pushes.

Stephanie herself has been known to criticize Divas for their weight. One example I heard years ago was Nidia. Stephanie told her to lose weight and Nidia supposedly said something like "you're not much smaller than me" which got her tons of heat.
