I'm thinking eventually she'll be pushed. She's still not a particularly good wrestler to be honest.

I'd agree that Kaitlyn isn't all that in the ring, yet. But 'yet' is the operative word. When you think that her first matches on NXT were pretty much her very first matches EVER it's fair to say she has improved pretty quickly. And under a fair bit of pressure. She is already decent in the ring and has shown flashes of genuine talent in my opinion. I wouldn't say she is better than Kelly Kelly or the Bellas but that, to me, isn't as big a criticism as it sounds. Kelly and the Bellas aren't nearly as bad as people make out in my opinion. Kelly, especially, when given time and a decent opponent more than does herself proud I think. Yes she has her flaws, but they aren't as horrific as they are made out. But, back to Kaitlyn, I think given time she could be a massive deal for WWE. If they give her time to develop as a wrestler she has everything you could ask for in a 'Diva'. She already has a great look and the personality. agreed 95%. I saw most of her NXT matches in the past 6 months or so, and she looked pretty good & comfortable in there. more experience is the key, she's got everything else already

Honestly, I think the reason she doesn't get pushed is because they found out she was living a double life as a super hero.

Why aren't more people calling NEWZ on this? Because it's something they want to believe in the first place?

^ Because Dave Meltzer is a well-respected journalist, and he has numerous contacts in WWE. So people tend to take him at his word. It's not like someone at Rajah's website came up with it.

This has hardly stopped people from bashing the hell out of Meltzer before. Keep an eye on the news/newz threads and you'll see how much several people despise him or think he has zero credibility. I just think this is a case of selective listening.

People bash Meltzer because NEWZ sites like to take stuff he's said and twist it around/strip it out of context in a way that basically changes what he actually said. Then it turns out to be wrong because some Rajah wannabe on his spyware infested site is a doofus and OH LOOK AT HOW WRONG MELTZER IS.
Not to say Meltzer is right all the time because things actually DO change a lot, especially with a company like WWE that's run by a crazy old man who can wake up one day and decide the Kharma needs the belt and then the next say she's ugly and will never be a star so give it to Eve. But if you hear what he says on WOL or you read it in the newsletter/on the site (or get a direct quote from someone with a subscription) then you put a lot more stock in that than you do the NEWZ site version of what he said.

What did Dunn say about her on the leaked NXT producer commentary thing?
And we live in a day and age when people thought Kaitlyn was fat or chubby? I've never thought shes look a thing less than hot.

People aren't calling NEWZ because this is something that has happened to women in the WWE in the past. While her and Natalya have what the majority on this board and people in general find attractive and sexy, the powers that be in the WWE don't like that. One name. Molly Holly.

One of many glaring examples that even with all the skill in the world, if you aren't "centerfold sexy," you're pretty much screwed coming out the gate. You're exactly right. It's hard to call this "newz" when this so true of how the brass thinks.

She had absolutely no wrestling experience whatsoever. She was, in and out, a "Johnny Ace special", and she was actually a little bigger than she is now on NXT. I think that's being forgotten in the midst of this conversation.

That's true regarding the reason for her hiring, however, I do think that there is a difference for women's looks, between their face and body. Also, with WWE, for women to be put into the top ranks of the divas, their body type means a lot to certain people.

Stephanie has, at times, been a "thick" woman and McMahon's pushed, what, like three incest angles with her? C'mon, double standard much? ;D Stephanie herself has been known to criticize Divas for their weight. One example I heard years ago was Nidia. Stephanie told her to lose weight and Nidia supposedly said something like "you're not much smaller than me" which got her tons of heat. A great example of the pot calling the kettle black. That incident probably happened in around 2003, when Stephanie gained a shit ton of weight in a brief time span. Hats off to Nidia for standing her ground, I respect that a lot, even though she got canned not too long afterwards. Stephanie has ZERO right to bitch about any of the Divas' weight.

Didn't Stephanie also wants comment that one of the Divas (I wanna say McCool) had an annoying voice?

Steph for some reason didn't really like her Southern accent, and sent her to OVW while she worked on losing it.
