whatever, WCWNBA or whatever is fun, but if I have to go through another season of "da HEAt iz NwO durr durr durr" I think I might lose it, no offense. I get that it fits, but its so played out. Different year, different promotion, something. Something where "Sting vs. NWO" has no meaning. Change it up. I don't know, ECW or NJPW or something. Hell, earlier WCW, the Heat could be Big Van Vader or something, the Mavs could be Stan Hansen, and Boston could be Tom Zenk. Chicago could be Sting, the Knicks could be Sid Vicious, and I'm mixing up a lot of my wrestling history. But if this gets done again, every team needs to be something different, or else its gonna be corny. Well, as long as the Z-Man represents the Celtics anyway. If we do earlier WCW, PLEASE include Missy Hyatt. ;D

So the Thunder begin their pre-season with two games against the Mavs in a rematch of the WCF from last season.

Wait, Kobe was banging a Playboy Playmate? Way to go Kobe! Granted, he did it behind the back of a woman he was married to for 10 years, but still, way to go Kobe!

Not that I condone cheating, but good work Kobe! Same here. I would never condone cheating, ever, ever, ever. However, if you are someone who is going to cheat, you should do it with someone good looking, like Kobe clearly did.

Heat looking very good against the Magic. They're limiting Dwight Howard to 5 points and 2-9 shooting so far.
EDIT: Oh wow, the unknown rookies are taking the Magic to school. Terrell Harris with 16 points, and I bet nobody knew who he was until tonight.

If he can get healthy, I'm pretty happy with the Baron Davis signing. It's a chump change, one year deal and more depth in the backcourt is always good.

Pacers traded Brandon Rush to Golden State for Louis Amundson.
I really don't know much about Amundson, but I am glad that Rush is finally gone. I don't care what Memphis said: they killed the OJ Mayo deal because they didn't want Rush.
The problem I had with Brandon was the fact that the Pacers drafted him with high hopes he would use that raw talent people said he had in college and take it to the next step. The problem, though, was that Brandon... he would have one game where he'd show that cliched "flash of brilliance" and could wow you, but then there'd be a stretch of games where he didn't do a darn thing.
And, I can't believe that the Lakers' biggest acqusition during this stretch is Troy Murphy. The Lakers will still be good, but without Odom, they aren't going to be nowhere near as intimidating as in years past, meaning Dallas has a better shot of repeating... especially since they were the ones who got Odom.

According to Gary Washburn, the Boston Celtics have no interest in acquiring James Posey, if he is released from the Indiana Pacers via the amnesty clause. "The team appears satisfied with its small forwards," Washburn said.
And why shouldn't they be? When your bench consists of Marquis Daniels, coming off of a serious neck injury and Sasha Pavlovic, who is, well, SASHA PAVLOVIC, I mean, you've got to be excited about having that kind of depth backing up your most indispensable offensive weapon.

If AK47 doesn't end up signing with the Nets (which sources seem mixed up about) maybe him? Another problem is assume Jermaine O'Neal will make it through the year unscathed. Which is a funny whimsical hope. But hey KG is in mid-season form already

Peja Stojakovic retired. One of the great shooters of this generation & a key part of early 2000 Kings teams. Shame the injury to C-Web in 2003 & deplorable officiating in 2002 cost them trips to the Finals.

Yeah, but Peja's career was vindicated when he finally got his ring with Dallas. So it's all good.

That's the thing with those Rush brothers. All 3 of them had talent, but they were inconsistent and had big egos. As for Amundson, if you want a tall guy off the bench who will defend and crash the boards, he's great to have.
