They were trying to make her manager, not a valet. How was she a manager? I don't remember her trying to do a single thing for Ted DiBiase other than stand around ringside and look pretty (though she did that very well). Rosa Mendes was more of a manager than Maryse. I never said she was, I said they were TRYING TO make her manager. Let's just say, they didn't succeed.

Honestly, I can't hate the girl.
I mean, on one hand, she has literally no talent. She developed into a passable wrestler, but never, ever anything more than passable. She has more or less no charisma, and though she developed as a talker to the point where she wasn't embarrassing herself, I honestly can't remember a single promo she did, other than knowing in a general sense that she was on occasion given a live microphone and forced to speak. And even in terms of looks (obviously her singular reason for being there), she was just an unusually attractive co-ed. I live right next to a large college campus, and I can say with complete honesty that I see girls as well built and just as pretty as KK on a daily basis (not saying that they're getting with me or anything, but I do see them).
But, she was given an amazing opportunity at a ludicrously young age, and she took it, and she made more of it than she had any reasonable or logical right to. She never came across as feeling entitled, or ungrateful to be making good money and traveling the world when most of her peers were eating ramen in dorms and/or doing soul-smashing unskilled laboring.
Did she deserve the opportunity? Of course not, but that's the company's fault, not hers. Kudos to her for greatly overachieving, and being smart enough to escape while she's young and not become Tammy Sytch/Missy Hyatt.

So is Kelly Kelly one of those rare "never turned" people? Even when she first started and she was with Knox she was still definitely intended to be a babyface and I can't think of any time she's ever been a heel barring that one week pseudo-tease where she used Kane to have him destroy Miz which doesn't really count.

Well if she is really going to leave then I'll give the WWE credit for being able to get that much out of Kelly Kelly considering her colossal lack of talent.
I wish the best for her future but at the end of the day she was just another generic cookie cutter diva who couldn't wrestle and is easily replaceable.

I am glad, never liked Kelly Kelly. Don't hate her but I certainly don't like her either.

As a person she seems sweet enough and good luck to her in her break. In the ring, itll be nice to see other faces get a chance to shine with more in ring talent, lets hope they actually get pushed as much as Kelly did.

6 years in wrestling is a lifetime, especially if you started before you're old enough to drink. Even with the Bellas and probably Kelly leaving, still won't make most here happy.

Kelly Kelly is terrible in the ring but I give her credit for actually sticking at it for a hell of a lot longer than many other model-turned-terrible-wrestlers did. I honestly think she has, or had, a passion for the business and it's a shame she never actually got any better than she was.
But hell, she was pretty over, so credit to her.

If the WWE had a proper Valet/Manager system, bot Kelly Kelly and Maryse would have worked. The problem is, the WWE wants them to be "wrestlers" for whatever reason, even when it's clear neither was that good at it. She survived long enough as a wrestler because she was athletic, but she never really developed much out of that athletic base. I mean, Layla was the poorer worker in the beginning, but look at her now. While still a bit suspect, she's a LOT better than she was when she started, and a lot better than most of the divas that didn't start out as more as a wrestler (Beth Phoenix, Natalya Hart).

Sunny had that talent. Maryse didn't, and Kelly never showed anything that suggested she did.

The ones you listed? I consider them managers.

A job that requires talent just like being a wrestler or commentator. Some chick who's just going to come out with the wrestler and sit at ringside doing nothing during his match shouldn't be under contract. Just hire a local model for one night every week like they did with Triple H back in 1996.
