I don't even think they put that much effort into Kelly. She pretty much did nothing until her title run and did nothing afterwards. They've honestly put more effort into Eve I think. Exactly. For someone WWE apparently really likes, Kelly is off TV a lot. That maybe true these days, but back when she was on Smackdown and her first few months back on Raw, she was on TV nearly every week. Sometimes twice a week.

I wish she would go away. She doesn't want to improve and has proven that.

.....and? They didn't win the title because they were good technical wrestlers. Eddie especially. They were over, and had a good story to run with finally getting the title. I'll give you Eddie as it really was him running with the lie, cheat, steal character that got him noticed and broke him out from the pack, but with Benoi it was because he was a good technical wrestler that WWE decided to try to put him over and give him the chance to be the man. When they found out his character didn't really have legs after winning the big one, they dropped him. But it was mainly because, first and foremost that he was a great technical performer that they pushed him.

Yeah, but Maxine wrestled quite a bit on FCW TV when she was GM for FCW. Only when she was on NXT as well. She didn't really have any matches for her first year or so in FCW.

And to add to my previous post, I do agree about Eve. They did put effort into pushing her as a Wonder Woman-like babyface, even pairing her with Kelly about 100 times to see if her popularity would rub off on her, but to no reaction. It took a heel turn and the expense of Zack Ryder's popularity for it to finally happen.

Now if only they'd put at least a quarter of their effort into pushing and marketing Kelly to the rest of the Divas and, subsequently, the division. I don't even think they put that much effort into Kelly. She pretty much did nothing until her title run and did nothing afterwards. They've honestly put more effort into Eve I think. Exactly. If anything WWE has never properly capitalized on her popularity. Last year during her little thing with Vickie and Edge she got more over in 2 weeks than Eve and AJ have with months of screen time in high profile angles and yet she was rewarded by them dropping the storyline and being left off Wrestlemania. And she got one 3-4 month push as a serious wrestler (during which her matches got more of a reaction than any diva matches have since). She's been jobber fodder the rest of the time, despite her overness. Her role has basically been a sympathetic figure for the heel who's getting pushed to beat up on. How many times was/has she been squashed by Michelle and now Beth over the years? If she didn't do the stinkface in her matches, she would get the Haas pop. She started doing that move last year. She had been consistently among the top 2-3 most over divas for around 5 years previous to that.

She usually gets a decent reaction for her entrances, but the crowd is usually dead when her matches are going on. It's pretty much just the stinkface that gets a pop, just like Eve's booty popping was the only thing that got her a reaction during a match.

Yeah, as she should be if WWE considers her their top Diva. And the crappy booking of her was happening even before she won the Divas title. After that match where she basically defended the World title on Edge's behalf, she was more over than ever and even people who didn't like her were saying she did a great job. For her efforts, she was completely left off WrestleMania 27.

Not only was it a storyline that was initially meant for Kaitlyn, but it ended up completely ruining the storyline that Kelly Kelly was doing with Drew McIntyre. And as over as Kelly Kelly was, she still doesn't hold a candle to Trish Stratus, so I don't see the problem with her being left off the Wrestlemania card.

It's pretty much just the stinkface that gets a pop, just like Eve's booty popping was the only thing that got her a reaction during a match. Most diva matches have a dead crowd, period. See Beth vs. Tamina at EC and Beth vs. Layla at OTL. Kelly vs. Beth though at Summerslam, Night of Champions and Hell in a Cell last year all had considerably better crowds throughout than diva PPV matches usually get. Even her Money in the Bank match with Brie Bella was far and away better received by the crowd than it had any right to be. That maybe true these days, but back when she was on Smackdown and her first few months back on Raw, she was on TV nearly every week. Sometimes twice a week. For her efforts, she was completely left off WrestleMania 27. They really screwed her over at that point. I'm convinced that if that happened to a more IWC friendly wrestler there would have been an uproar. There was a month long period where she was getting great reactions then they just dropped it. Seriously, YouTube "Kelly Kelly Attacks Vickie Guerrero at The Royal Rumble", "Kelly Kelly Spears Layla", "Elimination Chamber 2011 - Kelly Kelly Rehired" or "Edge & Kelly Kelly vs. Vickie Guerrero & Drew McIntyre" and tell me those pops weren't the biggest for a diva since Trish/Lita/Mickie. And even months after they squandered that she still easily won that popularity poll thing which is probably the only reason she ever got a title reign.

Yeah, Kelly never had more momentum than she did coming off that match, and the crowd popped huge for her when Teddy Long hired her back. Then she went back to losing to Laycool on Smackdown and got left off WM. Not to mention, she ended up losing her feud with Beth that was about how she didn't deserve to be champion. You probably shouldn't have the babyface lose the blow off match after the build up ends with the heel making the babyface literally cry and promising to defeat the pathetic, undeserving, crying babyface, then doing exactly that.

Good. She is the only diva that is popular even without them using her. She's a lot like Maria in that way.

I can't stand her but I agree with them as well. They are right. She is the most marketable one on the roster. She's the most over and the most liked among the fans, without having to do much of anything. She also gets the most coverage outside of WWE, without them having to do anything to ensure it. The kids chose to vote her in as a choice in the Nickelodian awards etc...
WWE did nothing to get her into Maxim, she got noticed and got in on her own. It's in their best interest to keep her, and she's young. If they can knock some sense into her and make her take her training seriously she could rise to be a passable wrestler at some point.
Like I said, I can't stand her but if I were them I'd do everything I could to hang onto her as well.

Its weird to think she could have one of the longest tenures for a female in WWE history. I can't believe its already been 6 years. Trisha lasted ..... from 2000 through 2006?
