New Kyle O'Reilly post... The promoters real name is Jeremy Hall. I think it was a typo. Jeremy Wyatt is a pro wrestler down here in Kansas City who regularly goes up and wrestles for the Iowa promotions like a lot of other local guys here. I was really confused for a second because Jeremy is one of the guys who trained me for a couple months back in 2007 when I was an 18 year old youngster. lol

He's the guy who's career stands to suffer the most from this, so it's a smart move to backpedal off it as quickly as possible.

Richards and Kozina are much older than him. If O'Reilly does that then I'd be fine with that although he really needs to get his freaking priorities in order and stop hanging out with trash like Team Ambition. Kozina on the other hand after what he did to that kid should be permanently blackballed.

Kozina's already rotting away in "never was" purgatory, and Richards, like it or not, can get booked no matter how big a douche he is. O'Reilly pretty much has to be the "mea culpa" guy here, because he's not a name like Richards, and he's not past consequence like Kozina.

New Kyle O'Reilly post... I'd like to think O'Reily really does feel bad as I do like him (and when I met him he was a nice dude), but I get a sneaking suspicion that a few people got in his ear and told him to do the right thing as Davey's pretty much set for the long haul, and Kozina's career has no chance of taking off now do Kyle has the most to lose. Or as I said, Kyle read the reactions he was getting, re-read his blog, and realized what happened was shitty.

Just some interesting things i can tell everyone about this, having studied law and psychology hopefully this gives a little understanding.
- Legally (Atleast in this country) you can sue for 350 dollars but you need proof he was scammed. I havent read the blog post from Kyle O'Reilly but if he admitted it, it would definetly hold up in court even if it was a case of "Promoters were mean"
- If the 3 guys had never mentioned they scammed the promoter in question they'd be home free and it'd be their word against there's.
- From a Psychological stand point. People who often turn up to work late do this to make themselves seem like a big shot. In the world of wrestling this is common with the veterans usually arriving 30-60 minutes before the event. It's probably an insecurity on behalf of those 3. I personally think they should be setting a good example but they're more worried about how others view them.
- The entire "respect" thing is an insecurity as well, just like above. Odd's are a majority of the guys in the locker room respected the 3 in question but didn't show it the way that Kozina, Richards and O'Reilly would of liked. This caused them to act out. Choking some kid out in the middle of the ring is a way for Kozina to show dominance.
Now assuming this entire thing isnt a work which i doubt it is. Two of the three (Kozina and O'Reilly) should be glad they're getting paid such decent money for a weekend of events. If we assume it was 350 a night for all three events the promoter would of paid 1050 dollars. If we assume Davey got a majority O'Reilly and Kozina would of made atleast a few hundred dollars off the event.
Now if you think about it is O'Reilly or Kozina going to draw you 35 fans over a weekend? Probably not. So instead of being insecure jerks chanting about respect and acting like superstars why not work the 3 dates make your money, help the new guys and hopefully get to come back later and make more money? Ego, All ego.
If they were mad at the promoter they should of done a quick match and never gone back. You rip the fans off, the promoter off and the guys who were going to wrestle you off. Disgraceful.
Also Tony Kozina is such a big name that i had to look him up, his career highlights are semi regular appearances in ROH, definetly not grounds to be acting like a superstar to a teenager.

Some updates from Jaysin Strife's twitter
Jaysin Strife @jaysinstrife By my understanding, the money stolen by Richards and crew at the @apwfeeltherush show Sunday has been PayPaled back to the promoter...
Jaysin Strife @jaysinstrife That being said, I still do not believe in, or condone the unprofessional acts that still took place this last weekend an I stand by my word
Jaysin Strife @jaysinstrife Again folks, just because money was paid back, things are not "OK." There has been no formal public apology, nor is the Kozina situation...
I have a feeling that O'Reilly paid back the money on his own through paypal and that Richards and Kozina either don't know about it or they are being cowards and having O'Reilly take care of it.

Sad to say that this is the most publicity Kozina has got in years. He used to be a good PNW guy. What happened?
I agree, O'Reilly at least trying to own up to it is a start but I think the stink of this is going to stick with him for a while, especially if Richards and Kozina continue to act like jerk offs. I do find it funny that Richards, the guy who puffs his chest out the most, is silent on the whole situation now that it's gotten this far. If Richards is half as tough as he thinks he is he would make an official statement, but that would distract him from flexing in front of the mirror.

Shit like that Kozina/Kidd match makes wish that someone would kidnap all these indy wankers who act like wannabe MMA fighters and force them to face off against real MMA fighters.

s*** like that Kozina/Kidd match makes wish that someone would kidnap all these indy wankers who act like wannabe MMA fighters and force them to face off against real MMA fighters. Let's see, according to Wikipedia, Kozina's billed at 174, which means he wouldn't have problems cutting to Welterweight, where....yeah, he'd get annihilated. Someone like Kampmann or even a Jake Sheilds vs. Kozina.....kinda makes me feel fuzzy inside picturing that.

I do tend to get the impression that O'Reilly is a rather impressionable young guy who's being lead down the cliche 'dark road' by a has-been never-was in Kozina and a guy who seems increasingly bizarre in Davey.

Even if someone got in his ear about being a douchebag, it's definitely good of O'Reilly to own up to everything.
IMO, he really should look into finding a new group of friends. If he stays around Davey and Kozina, he's likely going to be drawn into more incidents. He's really the only one with something to lose at this point.

Well I'm sure even D grade tomato cans would have no trouble beating the likes of Kozina because I can't help but think of him as the indy wrestling equivalent of douchebags who think that taking a few jiu jitsu classes and wearing some stupid looking tap out shirt makes them badasses.

O'Reilly did the right thing in the end. Good for him.
I'm just stunned with the amount of wrestlers coming out and defending Kozina. Whitmer's nonsense about "protecting the business" really disappointed me. What the hell are they protecting? This kid talked shit on Twitter. It was a promo. It's a WORK. Shooting on this kid proved NOTHING and all he did was sell. His name gets out there a bit more, you look like an asshole for this, and you lose one payday that you could've kept.
Thanks for protecting the business and f***ing yourself over in the process. Brilliant move.

And the prognosis for Davey is even more grim. He's billed at 207, which, with some cuts, would make him a VERY undersized light heavyweight, or a middleweight, and either way, those are two very competitive weight classes.
