I don't think someone has to be really big, but it gets pretty awkward when you pair up someone like Rey vs Khali or Big Show. Not necessarily www.youtube.com/watch?v=_POI2mJkCPk (well maybe this would still be "awkward" in a pro wrestling match but my point is that it's clearly obvious that a smaller guy can win a fight despite a large size disadvantage.

If Dan Bryan wins the title I'll mark so hard my eyeballs will fall out of my head.

I'm the tallest and longest-watching wrestling fan here, so clearly my opinion matters the most of all.
And I believe that Daniel Bryan has been booked strongly enough over the last few years that it's totally believable that he could beat John Cena in a match. It's not about height or weight, it's about how you're booked.
Ezekiel Jackson, for example, is bigger than both Bryan and Cena. Would it be more reasonable for him to pin Cena than Bryan just because he's jacked as f***? Nope. If he got booked like a monster for a few months, then I'd buy it.

If Dan Bryan wins the title I'll mark so hard my eyeballs will fall out of my head. Emergency rooms will be overflowing if Daniel Bryan wins the title. A bunch of people injured from marking too hard, and a few that have a coronary from the shock of a man of average height beating a man of slightly above average height.

Whenever you think that size is important, just remember one thing. Brian Pillman vs Sid "squeegee" Vicious in a bar fight. Also for further reference, Paul Orndorff vs Vader.

I have no problem believing Bryan could wreck Cena. Bryan went 30 minutes twice with Punk (making him tap out once), he defeated the Shield first, he could absolutely win.

Lol at everyone jumping on OP for not liking Daniel Bryan. Same thing happened to me a few months ago when I said I wasn't particularly a fan and found Daniel Bryan to be overrated. Daniel Bryan is billed at 210 pounds meaning in reality he's probably 195-200. Wrestlers also add an inch or two to their height all the time so Daniel Bryan is probably closer to 5'9 but could be as small as 5'8. Body wise he isn't ripped and muscular like a Chris Benoit or Shawn Michaels were. He really is just a short guy with an athletic body type and we're supposed to believe he has the goods to beat the guy who's been bodybuilding for 20 years and has a lot more big match experience then Bryan. I completely agree with OP. Daniel Bryan shouldn't be beating Cena. Well by your reasoning, John Cena could be 5'11 or even 5'10, and probably weighs 230. And what the hell does bodybuilding have to do with anything? Bryan has mixed martial arts training...I'd say that's more viable in a FIGHT.

Bruce Lee wasn't big by any means, but he wasn't anyone to f*** with.

It better be like when 1-2-3 Kid defeated Razor Ramon. An upset victory that nobody saw coming.

Hey, Kevin Nash posts here! He tore his finger muscles doing it. There aren't actually any muscles in any fingers so I like to imagine during the Nash typing opening post the distal phalanges on two of Kev's fingers splintered into a thousand pieces instead. ...that's a sentence I never expected to type on a wrestling board.

The fact that this thread was made a few days after John Cena made Mark Henry tap out despite being at a marked disadvantage in size and strength is hilarious.

The argument for 'credibility' when people are pretending to fight is just a weird one. Ya know when wrestlers become "credible"? When the writing says they are.

I think Bryan has been booked strong enough that it is very believable for him to win the title. On top of the whole Shield thing, he has pretty recent wins over Orton and Sheamus, both of whom have multiple wins against Cena and have beat Cena for the championship multiple times. Making Cena tap...it's highly unlikely, but it is possible. WWE needs to make stars, and Bryan is there. I'm assuming him and Cena are close friends, and I'm sure Cena would love to create the star in Bryan by making Cena tap in the biggest match and would be win in his career. Its all about if the officials would book Cena to lose by submission, which I don't think they'll do.

I can't see Cena tapping out. When he's in a submission, he just sits there. He's never even went as far as TEASING a tapout, at least not during Super "Never Give Up" Cena era. Sheamus does the same thing. When they're in submissions that 95% of the roster would struggle to escape from, they sit there and chillax. I mean, look at this
