WWE should sign him. And push him hard, he could really help WWE put on decent matches...for a change. ..... I don't even know what to say to that. I just wanted to express my bewilderment with it.

This is why people shouldn't get douchey tattoos of their own names or other peoples names.

I'd figure either they'd strike up a deal similar to the Punk name for the AJ Styles one, since he'd probably just get chants of that every week anyway, or they'd name him Adrian Jones or something.

Honestly, I would like to see Styles move on to WWE, simply because it makes too much sense on both sides.
If he goes to WWE- he's a little older, but at only 36 it's not like he's way too old to use well in WWE. He wouldn't be NXT-worthy, but if Styles were to jump he wouldn't be NXT-worthy anyway. The aura of "AJ Styles in a WWE ring" alone could probably get him to be worthwhile quickly, and bare minimum would be low [worst-case, he's Rob Van Dam around far longer].
TNA would be hurt by it, but on the flipside- it's been 12 years he's been billed as "the future of the business." It's just time to accept that it's never going to happen for Styles in TNA. The Ewing Theory potential there is huge, and only letting Styles walk away will give them a chance to find the next person to make them big.

I see a WWE stint for Mr Styles ultimately going as well as Bret Hart in WCW He will make millions of dollars, be a multiple time world and us champ, main event ppvs, and get a run as a top guy? That was Bret's run in WCW. Highly entertaining in promos and matches. Featured significantly on thunder and nitro. And he was the top guy in wcw. Don't let wwe fool you. Bret was over in wcw and booked as a main event guy during 98-00. I don't think aj gets that type of push. Maybe an ic belt, then a raw/sd main event. But not a world/wwe title or ppv main event.

I'm just going to come out and say it, outside of the hardcore fans there is no "aura of AJ Styles in a WWE ring" I'd guess that a large part of the WWE's fanbase has no idea who he is. That's not to say that he couldn't go there and get over, but I've honestly only rarely heard anyone say "I wish that AJ Styles was in the WWE"

If anything aj would have to get over based on his ring work. I like evan bourne way more. I like justin gabriel way more. Seth rollins could be a great ic champ. Tyson Kidd is one of the best wrestlers in wwe. Not to mention Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville in NXT. Hell wwe has guys like yoshi tatsu, dibiase, and jtg stuck in superstars hell and they get crowd reactions. A guy with a similar look to styles in alex riley got over and brings it in the ring, but is relegated to commentating for no reason other than him seeing that he is not getting time on raw/sd/main event

If he jumps, I don't see him spending any longer than three months in NXT tops. A "Flair in WWF" type scenario (who was 41 when he signed with them in 1991) might work best, where he's touted as a big deal and immediantly involved in major programs.
I like the idea of renaming him Allen Styles. As for the tattoo, I'd just do a backstage promo spot where AJ Lee makes a snarky comment about it.

I say debut him as AJ's new boyfriend. Problem solved.

Styles is a TNA lifer. No way he leaves nor will TNA let him go. Period. He's one of the few real stars they've got. And WWE would make him climb the roster ladder because he's not a Flair or a Sting. I doubt he'd want to risk hitting the glass ceiling in a new company when he's pushing forty.

I could see the WWE offer him another contract, I don't know if he'd accept unless their offer is way above whatever TNA's final offer is.
I more likely see him going back to the indies and Japan though.

I would give an extensive amount of money to see Punk/Styles, Cena/Styles, or Bryan/Styles in WWE. It's not going to happen, but I'd still love to see him make the jump. He could wrestle just those three matches, and be a bigger star than he's ever been up to now.

Even if his base is lower, just being on 1 WWE PPV would give him a bonus more that TNA could ever dream of paying him, especially with TNA cutting back.
